Hey borg nice to see you on fb :) you and the boys look great in the pics! I'm guessing you figured out who I was by my highly inventive username. ...

flustered good to see lots of exciting changes going on and good luck for the birth in case I don't get back on for a bit x

ponyo enjoy your hols! Sounds like all happening with the house hopefully you'll be in a lovely new place before you know it!

blizy yes hope your dad's ok x

Hi everybody else, lots of love to all and hope you're enjoying the summer as much as we are! ( apart from the sobering realisation that tomorrow my lovely DD1 will be 15. Seems literally insane. She's still my baby! Albeit one dressed entirely in black with a penchant for Avenged Sevenfold. wiggles can probably empathise re the all black outfits haha! )

Reastie · 05/08/2014 08:13

flustered I was thinking, I bet the move will be easier than you're thinking as you'll not be pg anymore! I remember early days with Alice the pain of the csection was nothing compared to the misery of pg, here's hoping it's the same with you, and hope you have lots of people to help so you don't have to lift anything?

cunk and ponyo I would definitely be up for a Brighton meet up next week (no pressure though ponyo Wink )

blizy hope your Dads OK and there are no hospital trips

american bless L saying he misses your lovely cat, must be hard for you too as it just reminds you of George

PonyoLovesHam · 06/08/2014 13:44

Ooh yes cunk and reastie, a Brighton meet would be great! Maybe a bit easier than meeting in London too reastie Smile. How is fri 15th? I am open to any suggestions of where to meet! I'll message you both my mobile number on Facebook later.......

Just using tesco wifi whilst having my lunch break, we're meant to be getting our new internet all working today fingers crossed!

Mizk I love how your daughter is into metal and wearing black, is she wanting to go to rock city yet?!

American I'm sorry about your cat, he always looked so lovely and calm in the photos with L.

Better get back to work, hope everyone else is ok!

MizK · 06/08/2014 16:07

ponyo she's been already! Panic at the disco, and she waited backstage til 1 am to meet the band! At her age I was the polar opposite so I'm quite enjoying experiencing her taste in music etc second hand (she thinks im the least cool mother imaginable obviously!)

Jealous of the Brighton meet up ladies, take pics for us all!

Reastie · 06/08/2014 16:22

Yes Fri 15th is great for me. I don't know where to meet though as I haven't been there for years, erm, cunk ? I can have a google and see what I can find if you like?

PrincessOfChina · 06/08/2014 16:26

Hello all!

Very long time no catch up, although I see many of you on FB regularly. Hanging about on here a bit more the last week or so as I've just found out I'm up the duff again. I am already convinced I look about 8 months pregnant although the total queasiness hasn't kicked in yet (I'm only 5 weeks) which is causing me to google endlessly. I'm sure I'll probably be sick as a dog again next week. No outing me on FB though, we haven't told anyone yet but I suspect word will get out in the next few weeks if I keep on exploding (and also have TWO weddings to go to sober which will raise suspicions!)

Lots of luck to Flustered over the next few weeks. It sounds like it's a real life changing time for you.

Ponyo and Reastie and Cunk - I am v jealous of any Brighton meet up. I love Brighton so much although it's a bit bloody far from here!

Borg R does write pretty well, but often backwards. Weirdo. She can't swim and is bloody useless on her balance bike.

MizK - love that your eldest is already off to gigs. I'd be the embarrassing mum and be off with her!

Right, lots of hellos to everyone - it feels good to share news, I didn't fancy joining a new ante-natal thread!

wigglesrock · 06/08/2014 17:06

Princess.... that's lovely news

TheCunkOfPhilomena · 06/08/2014 17:10

Excellent! Next Friday it is then! I am ridiculously excited! I can't seem to stop using exclamation marks! Grin

Grannyapple · 06/08/2014 19:14

Ooh hello mizk & princess...& huge congrats to you!

Can I wade in & ask to come to the Brighton meet up? Just need to decide whether to do train or car tho I expect will win out...

TheCunkOfPhilomena · 06/08/2014 21:20

Hi granny, I have just sent you a friend request. It'd be great to have a lovely massive group of 3 year olds terrorising Brighton meet up!

Reastie · 06/08/2014 21:34

Fab, it's like a proper big meet up now. . Day tbc though, me being a pain with plasterers, sorry Blush . Granny will get you into the pm tomorrow where we work out the deets. Ponyo I fear you holiday may have somewhat been taken over Wink

blizy · 06/08/2014 21:41

Princess, fab news congrats! This is like an antenatal thread these days.hope the sickness doesn't hot you too hard, mine went at about 11 weeks (thank god)!

I'm jealous of the meet up chat!

Love the sound of Liv's room Grin

I'm flying home on Friday and I can't wait, had enough sun now. On the plus side I felt first tiny baby flutters last night, was fab. Starting the countdown to the 20 week scan now eeek!

Reastie · 06/08/2014 21:53

Posted in haste before re meet up. Princess that's fab news, congrats, hope you bypass the sickness.

Blizy those flutters are wonderful aren't they.

OP posts:
PrincessOfChina · 06/08/2014 21:58

Ahh, thanks for the congrats. I'd really forgotten how weird these first weeks are. I'm exhausted and a bit queasy but I remember it being much worse before so I'm not expecting the worst. We've had so many friends have losses or really struggle that DH is barely acknowledging it at all just in case.

Anyway, the meet up sounds fab. Pics please!

PrincessOfChina · 06/08/2014 21:58

Not = now.

WeAreBorg · 06/08/2014 23:15

Congratulations princess! I have used my amazing powers of deduction to find you on FB. I have done nothing productive in real life since I joined.
Yay for flutters blizy!

I am very jealous of the Brighton meet up, looking forward to seeing the pics.

Grin at wiggles for knowing what a 1970s brothel looks like. Am dreading the day the boys get to choose their bedroom.

reastie what would you cook for a vegetarian who doesn't eat mushrooms?

wigglesrock · 08/08/2014 10:09

WeAreBorg Wink - I watch too much TV!

Blizy - glad you enjoyed your holiday, am sure you're happy to be heading home.

Bloody desperate weather here, pissing it down for days. Mr W has his days off cancelled and we are supposed to be doing lots of bits and pieces this weekend , well those doughnuts won't eat themselves!

americanexpat · 08/08/2014 14:49

Borg - re: vegetarian who doesn't eat mushrooms (i.e., me), vegetable risotto would be nice or pasta primavera. Quiche, frittata, etc. Just don't put mushrooms in it. Grin

China - congrats!

L has been coughing in my face for a week and I finally managed to catch whatever he had. Hmm Hopefully just a cold but I'm feeling shite and whingy.

Reastie · 08/08/2014 20:54

borg depends if you want fancy or just regular meal IYKIWM. I'm thinking you can do something with puff pastry which would be easy something like this would be really quick and easy or veggie spring rolls with filo pastry are really easy too (you could do a fancy dip and some veg to go with) . this looks tasty and I like the look of this this looks interesting . Or maybe just opt for this Wink . Sorry not much inspiration this evening. How about fish and chips?!!!

american urgh, ALice coughs in my face too, it's yucky. Hope you feel better soon.

OP posts:
WeAreBorg · 08/08/2014 21:06

Thanks reastie I feel I'm depending on you for guidance a little too much of late, I'll try to be a big less needy Grin. Will have a look at the links. [grib] at fish and ships. Thanks too american, I like your tip of not putting mushrooms in!
Yes Nate does the blatant coughing in my face thing too, he used to seek me out to wipe his snot on me too but now just favours his sleeve.
wiggs boo to bad weather and mrw having to work! I guess you can catch up on your obscure TV at least.

Okay veggie decision time and online shop, have to stop buying 'sharing' bags of crisps then eating them in about 3 minutes

WeAreBorg · 08/08/2014 21:07

Can I give a preemptive massive congratulations to flustered? Great news!

PonyoLovesHam · 08/08/2014 22:09

Helloooo,

Princess how are things?

Borg I'm going to join in your congratulations to flustered, such a lovely baby!
Also, I was going to suggest halloumi for your non-mushroom liking veggie friends, but reastie's suggestions are better!

Mizk I love that your dd has been to rock City already meeting the bands! And I think you're a cool mum Wink I'm still in awe of the 10k to be honest, how long does that take you?!

American yes to the coughing in face, A likes to do that then put her hand over her mouth when she's finished coughing Hmm I hate feeling ill, feel like I've been poorly off and on for weeks so you have my sympathies.

Hello everyone else Smile I am very much looking forward to our brighton trip but have pulled a muscle in my neck and despite physio, it's not getting better Confused I've been necking painkillers like anything but don't want to be in pain on my holiday! Any other suggestions?

Just watching terminator 2 with dp Grin we had a nice day today where we took A to nursery then had a lazy day together, don't get to do it very often and it's good to spend time together and ignore each other on our phones Wink

Grannyapple · 09/08/2014 14:28

Ooh has flustered had her baby then? Aw lovely news!

Things getting a bit real here...10 wks to go & nowhere to put baby clothes plus I need to sort out my clothes & a bung bag of boy clothes given to me by a friend. Plus need to get Moses basket off my other friend. Back home to Glasgow in 2 wks so need to make sure it's all sorted when I get back!

TheCunkOfPhilomena · 13/08/2014 17:09

Hello all!

Just had to pop on to say that Ben and I had a fantastic time with Reastie and A and Ponyo and A.

Ben wants to meet up with you all again and maybe he'll be better behaved Grin and I can confirm that ponyo's new tattoo is brilliant!

I do love a good MN meet up!

MizK · 13/08/2014 19:42

Aww glad it went well cunk the pics on fb looked lovely! I wish we all lived closer so it was possible for the whole thread to meet one day. ..

Princess congratulations on your news, lots of new babies here or on their way! granny hope you aren't stressing too much, sounds like you're going to be wading through heaps of teeny clothes for a while!

flustered congratulations on your little one, very cute.

ponyo if I had your tattoos my DD would def class me as cool, love your latest (but am wuss and fickle of taste so not an option for me!) Re 10k it takes me 65 mins but that's on the treadmill so probably far longer if I were to run it outdoors.problem is my stupid knees keep giving out every couple of months so I never get any further than that. Trying orthotics from tomorrow so hope it fixes them!anyway enough of me boring on about running, have a fab time during the rest of your holiday!

Hi to blizy american wiggles reastie ledkr and co, and hello to tad and deb if you're around!

Will go as am typing this one handed whilst lying in bed with Cassia who is again refusing to go to sleep alone, joy!
