Toenails I do when she is sitting in her highchair eating... Always a good distraction with S. Finger nails I try to do while she is sitting on my lap and we are looking at a book, it is a struggle though.

fruitpastilles · 12/01/2014 18:59

Poor E eliza I do hope she gets better soon.

Zamboni · 12/01/2014 19:15

I have read but can't remember a much.

Yay for chasing and well done eliza. Hope she is much better soon. Nails are done under duress - DH won't do them due to marginal mutilation of DSD when she was little (she's totally fine) and it's the kind of thing I have no patience for. Into a locked cuddle, snipped, done.

Feel like shit with sore throat, swollen glands, headache, fever-y. Timing is rubbish because DH and I have booked tomorrow off to spend together (nursery day!) but I will be in bed if I feel like this.

But in fab news, my lovely DSis got engaged today. So that has cheered me up.

Going to drink a load of orange juice due to my sincerely held belief it can cure most evils and hope that S wants to (a) sleep and (b) start the day sometime vaguely approaching reasonable.

YellowWellies · 12/01/2014 19:48

Isles it's the Z1 compact which isn't out for another fortnight but was released for preorder this weekend - DH has the Z1 after nearly killing a phone sea-trout fishing and dropping another in the loo - he needed waterproof and it has proved to be utterly bomb proof! DH is now a little Envy that my phone is better than his, is on 4g, with a 20 mp camera and is £13 a month cheaper Grin . Thanks January sales! This is phone karma having had the same phone for four years. I'm sick of my ailing iPhone now but they really are built to last. You can't fault their design life.

PetiteRaleuse · 12/01/2014 19:56

Both kids still have colds. DD1 is spectacularly hyper with it and keeps on waking LO who is now hysterical. I have hardly slept all week and really really want a night off. DH is being great but it's been very hard work today. Hoping nursery can take them tomorrow as I bloody well can't.

BigPigLittlePig · 12/01/2014 20:05

Oh dear PR, shall keep fc for tomorrow. And for you zamboni, my mum swears by a good dose of vitamin c at he onset of a cold.

After hearing about dets Os love for chewy calcium supps, have bought some haliborange calcium/vit d tablets - F love love loves them, so thanks for flagging them up as an option.

Congrats to your dsis zamboni, do I remember you saying you thought this might be on the cards? Love a good wedding.

My phone is/was a vair cheap tmobile own make thingy, £8 a month, and has proven to be pretty robust. If you don't look to closely at the case which has serious gnaw marks from F...my colleaguea mock me for it.

PurplePidjin · 12/01/2014 20:07

Chaskng you have to come and say hi! Quiche orders Wink

YellowWellies · 12/01/2014 20:07

Eliza boo to viruses they make me feel so helpless as a Mum. I hope she's back on her food soon.

Chasing that's such great news and proof that if in a bad relationship you have to make space and time for real love to find you. You sound so much happier and truer to yourself. You were always blaming yourself for every fight and doubting your ability as a Mum when with XP and its wonderful to see how you are thriving without him! Smile Smile Smile Smile Smile Smile My sister has finally decided to separate from her DH and is v excited if nervous for the future. She's reasoned after years of trying she can't change him and they just spend too much time rowing to be fair on the kids. Better to split when any kids are young. It's so brave what you've done but O will have healthy relationships in the future because you refused to put up with shit.

DH's roast duck was yum. He was carving it with Jonas clinging to his knees and opening his mouth like a greedy baby bird for the crispy duck skin. That should fatten the wee grump up! Smile

YellowWellies · 12/01/2014 20:10

BP I'm going to try those on J he clams up and shakes his head when I try to give him osteocare liquid. Envy

BigPigLittlePig · 12/01/2014 20:20

Dsd refers to them as Fs sweeties. They are strawberry flavoured, and F giggles when she sees the bottle. Am certain J will like them. And thanks for the after 8 tip, massive hit, if a little messy!

Sophiathestormfairy · 12/01/2014 20:24

eliza I hope you are ok and little E perks up soon.

chasing you could never bore us! I am dying to hear all the details of this new man. Chat away please!

stunt you know it. Was thinking we must get together soon, once the weather gets better though if you want a day out in Newcastle i can do a Lunch or tea for everyone at the fairy house.

Just set up for Sherlock, candles and everything!

ChasingDaisy · 12/01/2014 20:24

Thank you YW Smile That's a lovely thing to say. Sniff. I feel like this could be a very healthy relationship. Mutual respect aplenty and an abundance of love. Your sister is doing the right thing.

Pidj, too right misses! Am currently reliving childhood memories by searching for B&Bs in the area.

ChasingDaisy · 12/01/2014 20:25

I'm all set up for Sherlock too Sophia. It's the only programme I make an effort for Grin

Kyz · 12/01/2014 20:33

Evening quiche :) hope all is well? E is staying out at MILs tonight and if I didn't only have half a syn left after sunday roast i'd be having a glass of wine!

I might have to give this brie stuff a go, sounds nice and has had lots of recommendations!

bplp as it happens he has been able to stand not holding on to anything for ages at a time for months and months! Started being able to do it not long after crawling in fact, so about 8/9 months I think. Downside is with boats like his he trips over them so I think it's swings and roundabouts lol!

I have never watched the voice

E does fill his gros, the 18-24 month ones so I think will end up in just jammies before long, he's just so gangly!

That's a really good saving flouncy! And it's definitely works loss!

I still haven't done my video yet, I really must! I am enjoying everyone elses though :)

oh eliza I hope she gets better soon bless her

woohoo for a happy chasing :) Your weekend sounds utterly wonderful :) brilliant :)

did you enjoy playing again stunt ? :)

Sophia can I come and live with you?

aw yw hope j is ok soon, and what a fab deal, glad you found what you were looking for :)

nail cutting, I do 'this little piggy went to market blah blah' as I cut, he sits still, usually, just watches me do it. If ever he isn't in the mood or is wriggly I just try again later. I never hold his hand, well I do, but not with much grip as then he would try to pull away I think

sorry you're feeling so shitty zamboni hope you feel better soon and congrats to your Dsis

Hope the girls colds go soon pr

vits wise E has the wellkid liquid vitamins, i didnt get the chewable ones as they said 3+ so I worried he couldnt handle them

StormyIsles · 12/01/2014 20:33

yw will your dsis move closer to you?

Nail clipping here is a screaming affair with lots of pinning down involved. I usually just leave my mum to do it Blush

Chasing I am delighted for you!!!! GrinGrinGrin

Passmethecrisps · 12/01/2014 20:40

Evening lovelies.

Another nice day. Lazy start watching despicable me, lunch out (p slept in her chair?!?!?!? So we had our lunch in peace then got to drink coffee while she ate hers), quick trip to the shops which included purchasing a puddle suit and new boots then off to the park.

P been in bed for about 1.5 hours and we are debating whether a pudding after steak pie is gluttony.

Passmethecrisps · 12/01/2014 20:44

Thankfully P is well chilled about nail clipping. I can just pop her on my knee and do it. That is despite me actually chopping the end of her finger off when she was about 3 months old. I was rushing to baby massage and did the. Then popped her straight in her car seat which had a big zip cover on it. I unzipped her at the vair nice massage group to see her absolutely covered in blood. She hadn't peeped. So, sorry no advice. I would go with distraction though.

chasing it makes me very happy to read your posts. It is wonderful.

That must be such a weight off yw. Frightening but exciting all at once.

Evilwater · 12/01/2014 20:47

I so need to get laid, I was eying up the lads in tesco. Yes it's got that bad.

YellowWellies · 12/01/2014 20:48

Isles I think she's planning to stay in the bay they've just accepted a v good offer on the house but it depends how far her alimony and housing benefit will stretch. It looks as though she's going to be better off single though and able to buy by herself in a year or so. She might stay with us if there's a gap between houses but I don't think they'd move this way permanently. It's like a huge weight has been lifted off her shoulders. Smile It'll be hard after 15 years together but she is excited for the future and able to be herself and that's priceless. Keep it off FB though xxx

Ok am I the only one that thinks Sherlock is fugly? I have posh boy crushes but he fell out of the fugly tree and hit every branch Wink .

Sophiathestormfairy · 12/01/2014 20:52

Ooohhhh I need a weeeee. But that will mean I miss a bit.

Sophiathestormfairy · 12/01/2014 20:53

I don't like that kind of eye configuration.

Sophiathestormfairy · 12/01/2014 20:54

But I like his hair.

Sophiathestormfairy · 12/01/2014 20:55

And his cupids bow is nice.

Sophiathestormfairy · 12/01/2014 20:56

Tesco evil ? Grin

YellowWellies · 12/01/2014 20:57

I just pop the TV on or give him my phone and he lets me do his nails no bother - often he watches intently but if he starts to make a break for it I wait until he's more chilled. I used to do it whilst he slept. He's chilled with his medicine now too. I only have to fight him over the occasional nappy change but that too is fading now he's distractable by board books. I'm fecking glad about that as pinning down a hysterical shit encrusted infant wasn't a barrel of laughs!
