DH is roasting a duck and butternut squash for tea yey!!!!! On the boo side we have a vair grumpy teething bear and he is totally frazzling my nerves with his high pitched shriek....

Oh and I have figured out (when he finally napped in the pushchair and stopped whinging) which phone I'm going to get - the new Sony z1 compact it has a 20 mp camera and is waterproof so he can't sook the speaker to death - £23 a month - bargain! And we got bedside tables to match the rest of our bedroom furniture reduced from £80 each to £40 - so am v glad we watched our pennies over Christmas as the sales have had exactly what we've been looking out for - for once - normally I never see anything I want with a decent reduction.

Are there jobs up there? We have given ourselves 3 years to leave this area. We desperately need to be closer to the sea and mountains.

ValiumQueen · 12/01/2014 17:06

Yeah, I guess a job is fairly important. I had overlooked that minor detail Hmm

ValiumQueen · 12/01/2014 17:13

I am making a pyramid out of sugar cubes. A school project for DD1. It is great fun Grin

PetiteRaleuse · 12/01/2014 17:15

I'm still dreaming about moving to the Isle of Mann. Apparently fitting in is hard.

PetiteRaleuse · 12/01/2014 17:15

Or Scotland.

Channel Islands would be ideal career wise but v expensive.

PetiteRaleuse · 12/01/2014 17:19

And I don't like my career anymore. Keep forgetting that part.

ValiumQueen · 12/01/2014 17:27

Win the lottery.

PetiteRaleuse · 12/01/2014 17:33

I'm trying :o

YellowWellies · 12/01/2014 17:47

PR noooooo my sisters in laws are from the Isle of Man and she paints it as something out of the League of Gentleman but with odd islanders interspersed with neglected brood mare wives of tax avoiding stockbrokers!

PurplePidjin · 12/01/2014 17:48

Thanks all, i was asleep by 8 and R at 7:15. Woke at 8:20 with a couple of disturbances in the night.

He has 7 teeth at the front and both bottom molars Hmm

Can't remember anything else sorrySad

Lily311 · 12/01/2014 17:49

I'm totally selling up and move to sophia land. I have no job here, nothing to lose. Any hot men over there sophia? Preferably who likes kids and wants some more? And obv who is hot and extremely rich? And needless to say single?

Sophiathestormfairy · 12/01/2014 18:01

I will keep my eyes peeled lily!

Lily311 · 12/01/2014 18:06

He must be kind and have a good sense of humour. Sorry, I'm very picky.

StormyIsles · 12/01/2014 18:06

pr move to Scotland Grin

Amazing house sophia. I can't get over how cheap property is over there. We could buy a 5bed Victorian townhouse in Bangor for £150k Shock but living in a different country from bastard ils is worth every penny more

apple sorry yours are being tricky. I totally understand why you're so angry Angry

yw dp looked at that phone. Cant remember why he vetoed it. He bought a samsung and an otterbox in the end.

I have a training course all day tomorrow and still feel like shit. My sinuses are all blocked and I think I have an ear infection. I'll take classroom germs over office bugs anyday Hmm

BigPigLittlePig · 12/01/2014 18:32

Good grief I have massive house envy over the second house Sophia! V nice.

Tired ragy baby has lost the ability to self settle and is currently poking me through the cot bars.

Chasing don't keep us hanging on much longer girl, am all ears waiting for the gossip!

fruitpastilles · 12/01/2014 18:32

I did win the lottery last night........ £25 don't think dp can quite give up his job on that.

BigPigLittlePig · 12/01/2014 18:44

QQ. How are people cutting their LOs nails? Fingers and toes. It is a BATTLE here. She keeps scraping her nails down things Envy so it's a battle I need to start winning.

Lily311 · 12/01/2014 18:52

Battle here too. I did it the other day while she was eating as I figured she'd be busy. I was wrong.

ChasingDaisy · 12/01/2014 18:52

Woah, serious property envy! Gorgeous houses Sophia

I am very wary of boring you all to tears but I could witter on about my lovely man all day. It's proper teenage lovestruck stuff - this is definitely going to be something special. We already have plans for a weekend away in June (to your neck of the woods Pidj) and for him to take me to London for my birthday. We have spoken on the phone for 3 hours every night for the past two weeks and this weekend was just perfect. We actually spent it doing nothing, just enjoying each other's company and it was perfect. What is lovely is that there seems to be no imbalance - we like adore each other equally. I'll shut up now Blush

fruitpastilles · 12/01/2014 18:54

Ahh that's lovely chasing and you couldn't bore us if you tried!

ChasingDaisy · 12/01/2014 18:54

Oh, nail cutting. Battle central here. Toenails I can usually do after a bath, but I'm lucky if I manage to cut one fingernail every few days. He never has 10 short nails. Ever.

StuntNun · 12/01/2014 18:56

I can come for tea any time Sophia. Just sayin'!

J woke us up six times last night. Hmm He seems to have lost any ability to self settle. I dunno if it's teeth or something else.

bplp my answer is with great difficulty prob the most unhelpful post ever

well E was seen after just an hours wait so not bad going. She has a viral throat infection so I'm just to continue as I have been. lots of tlc and calpol. I hope it fucks off soon. It's the non eating part and being sick that's the hard to take part. Paed commented on how small she was, asked questions about her lack of walking, no saying words etc. But after her examination and what felt like an interview the paed did ask if I worked in the health profession. I said no and asked why and she said it was because I seemed so knowledgeable. I have the quiche to thank for that Grin

Elizadoesdolittle · 12/01/2014 18:57

chasing that's fantastic. am very happy for you. enjoy every second.
