Hello I've name changed, but I've been such a lurker no one will recognise me. Anyway I was Cacacaz.

pikz I hope you feel better soon

pr I don't think I could have stood back either so YANU

pidj I'm so sorry about the job. Zero hours contract suck. There are a few colleagues of mine that are relief workers, I would hate the uncertainty of never knowing or being able to plan work. I know it suits some as they are students or have another job. I think zero hour contracts should be banned.

I have mastitis, I've never felt so horrendous. Thank goodness for antibiotics as they are now working their magic.

I have the litter tray behind a baby gate in the loo Detective

glad your boobs are being sorted I winced in sympathy when I read your fb post.

ditsygal · 12/12/2013 16:13

We have litter trays - 3 of the damn things as one of my cats is a bit leaky Hmm and F has been surprisingly good with them considering he usually heads for anything troublesome.
THey are covered so maybe that helps - but he has free roam of the rooms they are in and I am yet to find him using them as sand boxes! thank god.
Just alot of 'No, No, NOOO' worked for us.
He has however been known to pick up little bits of the litter that get carried around the house on feet etc and eat them - yuck yuck yuck

TheDetective · 12/12/2013 16:26

We need to keep the dog away from the litter tray as she ate cat shit like it was going out of fashion Hmm. I think we are going to safety gate the kitchen off. Or dog gate!

TheDetective · 12/12/2013 16:27

Oscar is not arsed about the cat!

He did love the puppies however. Hmm

PetiteRaleuse · 12/12/2013 16:37

Dogs love cat poo. It's literally like chocolate to them. Learned the hard way when the dog as a puppy woke me up one morning with very VERY smelly breath Hmm

PurplePidjin · 12/12/2013 17:28

Hello always welcome back

My living/dining room is baby gated so it's like a giant play pen. The stairs, oven, litter tray, chemicals etc are all my side of the gate, the sofa toys and dining table are R's.

Today he has mostly been walking 3-4 independent steps in the library (multiple times and in front of lots of my mates so some unintentional showing off!) and climbing the slide in the park. All while wearing his new, tiny, cutest-thing-ever bright red wellies Xmas Grin

Sophiathesnowfairy · 12/12/2013 18:38

Just declared it wine o'clock.

YellowWellies · 12/12/2013 19:30

Sophia that's dangerous talk. I haz no wine - other than our Christmas stash.... Hmmmmm.

Just measured the bear: he is 6cm taller than when he was measured at the hospital last month. He's had a bit of a growth spurt but not that much! That puts him between the 9th and 25th centile not beneath the 0.4th!!!! Am Envy I was really worried but they just did a crap job of measuring the wriggly wee beast.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 12/12/2013 19:31

So today I got my radio times! Grin
I have loads to say but I a so tired I am watching Eastenders. Shock I haven't watched Eastenders since I was At uni. No energy to sort out what I want to watch.

YellowWellies · 12/12/2013 19:31

Always lovely to see you! Smile

FlouncingIsles · 12/12/2013 19:59

Have just typed a massive post and keyboard warrior deleted.

FFS.

In short:

Hi always
Hooray for dh yw
Good luck for prospective jobs
Sorry you didn't get the news you wanted PP
I love an epic kyz post!

M had her first settling session with the childminder today. It went really well but I am so sad I couldn't be there. Pikz and pass' chat about feeling a bit nothingless really rang true - when I am at work I long to be here, when I'm here I feel guilty for not studying for my work exams. It is crap but I am giving myself time to adjust.

I am also wobbling over the childminder. SHE is lovely. But I fell in love with the nursery we had wanted and by choice I would still choose them every time. But I don't have a choice. Sad

M is also now pretty much walking. She has spent all evening walking around the lounge blowing the dog's whistle, much to his confusion. Grin

Pikz · 12/12/2013 20:01

Small boy attempted learning to fly

Small boy did somersault

Split lip and lots of blood

Mummy's nerves shot to bits

FlouncingIsles · 12/12/2013 20:01

ALSO, if it is still on the market in May/June (highly likely given current market climates and the fact it is 5 - 10k over priced) and P hasn't got his act together (highly highly unlikely, pigs will fly and I will have a lottery win before that happens) I am going to put an offer in on this house I am a little bit in love with it.

FlouncingIsles · 12/12/2013 20:02

Oh fuck. Big hugs pikz

ValiumQueen · 12/12/2013 20:05

YW how tall is J now then? J is 89 CM which is massive!

ValiumQueen · 12/12/2013 20:06

And Always, we know and love and miss you xxx

Passmethecrisps · 12/12/2013 20:10

Evening peoples of baby making persuasion.

DH out with chums celebrating viva so I am on tod. P is currently clattering around upstairs - when will she be able to sleep in one place? At the moment I can 'to see her ever managing a proper bed!

pidj your post earlier made me shake my head. I am so sorry. Zero hours contracts are a terrible thing which takes advantage of those in desperate need under the guise of 'flexibility'.

Hia always! Of course we remember you!

Aging pussy is a rescue pussy we took home having just popped in 'for a look'. We were told she was ''semi-feral' and that she would never be a lap cat. We were Sad and said she would need to stay with them then as she would need to be a house cat. They changed their minds and immediately promised she would be fine. She coped wonderfully. We always knew is was a risk and would have had to cope had she needed to go out but having spent months and months in a tiny box the flat was huge enough. I cried when we moved to our house and she went out for the first time. Proud moment!

I am scunnered because I have only been skim reading and I know I have missed important things.

Hmm.

ValiumQueen · 12/12/2013 20:11

PP DH had a zero hours contract for a good year. Now he has 12 hours which is fab, but really it is pants. Twelve fucking hours! He gets more hours than that most weeks, but it makes life very stressful. I empathise. Sometimes it costs him more to go to a shift than he gets paid and I get angry, but he does it in the hope he will get more hours. If I get the promotion we will be no better off as we will lose tax credits, but at least we will know they cannot take it back off us each April.

YellowWellies · 12/12/2013 20:13

Isles lovely house - I used to walk that way to my sisters when we lived up on Letham Way - it's nice and quiet. You could move right in! Rumours are that the 2 bed market is moving really slowly so fingers crossed for you. Well done M on the walking!!!

I totally get how torn folks feel when LOs are in daycare. I'm v lucky we're only apart 2 days a week - it's long enough to have a break, miss him and earn some cash but any longer and I'd be beside myself. I practically gallop to nursery to collect him!

Jonas has his playgroup Christmas party tomo and his nursery one on Saturday. More chances to weep at Father Christmas Grin

Sophia was it you who recommended 'The Guernsey potato peel pie and literary society' and 'The historian' have just finished them - fab books!

PetiteRaleuse · 12/12/2013 20:14

pikz bugger. First of many though x

isles buy it! When I see your links to property porn I want to move to Scotland. Will wait and see the results next year though first.

Passmethecrisps · 12/12/2013 20:14

Oo! Cross posted!

flouncing I have at least one point of the journey to work every day I have a moment where I could easily fling the car round and go home. Every day. When I am honest to myself though I know that p gets a wonderful experience at the CM. Better than she would be me. It must be terribly hard though not be be 'in love' with the place you trust with her. Maybe it will be a slow burn?

pikz yikes!!! How are the nerves now?

Passmethecrisps · 12/12/2013 20:18

That house is cute as a cute thing!

YellowWellies · 12/12/2013 20:19

VQ he's 75cm - I measured him stood next to me whereas they do it lying down which makes him hysterical.

Wah Pikz cross post! Poor L - poor you!

We've moved to one nap a day and bedtime is so much quicker. And he slept til 9am (with one quick feed at 4am). Any sleep after 3pm is now verboten. His sleep is so much better with me back off dairy (sob). I'm having some cheese and choc at Christmas and DH can help with the nights!

ValiumQueen · 12/12/2013 20:21

Big hug Pikz.

I tend to drive quite fast away from nursery Grin I always feel that I have achieved something getting them all to daycare in time Grin
