Wow didn't realise there were still segregated schools in the county. NI yes, but Scotland surprised me.

We are off to west fields tomorrow. Great family day out GrinGrin until FH asked mil if she wants to come Angry
He always does this, asks her "but she won't come, so ill ask". Then she comes! FH has made me ask her when going out with my mum, twice I stupidly did. And she came and pissed me, my mum and sis off both times. 3rd time I told to FH.

He asked her out with us tomorrow without consulting me. Logistically it's gona be a pain as even tho we have a 7seater, and the kids go in the boot where will the pushchairs go and as its a long day out we need to take both pushchairs as H will not settle in bottom seat for long and A is to small to go in bottom yet.

Sry to bore you but I'm kinda building an argument up for later to tell FH why he is a prick other then I don't want to go shopping with them.

And H fell in his cot today and split his lip open. Guess who slept through the screaming. Angry

Bonus pr Grin

So I have had a lovely time at M&S. Got my little piggies in blankets, gravy, Christmas cake, treats for the boys for the weekend while I am in blighty and a lovely wreath for the big room where I will have my Christmas tables set up for dinner and is currently the playroom but should be my good room. I am not bitter

Quick down time and I am off to the Christmas musical at the high school! Not driving, can I get away with a snifter before the off if I get the boys bathed and Ready for Bed?

Sophiathesnowfairy · 11/12/2013 16:58

(I have historically made Christmas cake and love the whole ritual of doing it but I am the only one who eats it (and MIL) so is not worthy of the precious time this year.

StuntNun · 11/12/2013 17:05

Kyz my DS1 had an impacted bowel a few years back; his symptoms were occasional pebble poos, diarrhoea 'leakage' Envy and abdominal pain. Laxatives sorted it out for him.

I made it. Time to go get my boy!

Sounds like a lovely day Sophia

PetiteRaleuse · 11/12/2013 17:12

Well done pikz enjoy your time off now.

soph can I come to Christmas at yours? I haven't got my appetite back enough yet to think about the Christmas meal planning and I'm off course.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 11/12/2013 18:10

Course pr. bring some boar?

PetiteRaleuse · 11/12/2013 18:25

Of course. If I can persuade one to get on the plane.

Pikz · 11/12/2013 19:25

PR we are in France next week and I need some advice. L is full on cows milk and I remember you saying the milk is rubbish. What's my best option do you think?

ChasingDaisy · 11/12/2013 19:30

Evening quiche

Sophia, I'm coming for Christmas dinner too. I don't think I'll be able to find any boar knocking around MK though. Concrete cow?

I'm going to do my thankful Thursday early as I'm not sure if I'll get a chance to post tomorrow. Tomorrow is exactly 6 months to the day that me and O left XP. It is no exaggeration to say that I would not have left without this quiche. And that I would not have made it through the last 6 months with at least some of my sanity intact if it were not for you lovely lot. I tried to imagine how different my life would be without the quiche in it and it's frightening. I have a good feeling about this Christmas and I think it is going to mark a real turning point. So thank you quiche. I love you all xWineThanks

PetiteRaleuse · 11/12/2013 19:49

pikz most milk here is uht long life in cartons. Nutritionally it is fine but won't taste like proper milk. Most but not all supermarkets have a very tiny shelf of fresh stuff in the fridge section but it can be a bit needle in a haystack thing. It is there though, you just need to keep hunting :)

Full fat fresh milk is called 'lait frais entier' , organic is 'bio' and the more expensive ones are also 'microfiltré' whatever that is. Full fat is normally red top iirc both fresh and uht and if you're very lucky you might come across some jersey gold top proper milk. But I've only ever seen that once in 15 years :o

PetiteRaleuse · 11/12/2013 19:49

[champgne] chasing 6 months is a huge milestone.

Passmethecrisps · 11/12/2013 19:49

for you chasing! I cannot believe it is6 months already. You are a superstar.

DH had his phd viva today. Passed with corrections. Thank fuck. Went out for dinner with p who managed to sit nicely for almost a whole 3 course meal.

GTbaby · 11/12/2013 19:59

Chasing thats fantastic! We will all meet in the quichland bar tomorrow (where every body knows your name da da da) and enjoy sophs Xmas cake and a few Wine

Evilwater · 11/12/2013 20:11

Things are starting to fall into place. I'm sorry I've not posted. I've been x mas shopping. Phew..... Just two bits to go.

I know I should start with the card and wrapping, but I just want to chill. So I am. I'm actually having a small mead drink. With no one judging, or making comments.

I'm starting to feel happy, I'm sure the feeling will go when my bills get paid on the 15.

Wine of the bubbly variety for chasing and evi

I'm reading but have nothing useful to contribute so Wine or Brew for everyone else

My interview went ok today, fx i get at least one of the jobs (f double x it's the year's contract not the maternity cover) i was verbally told that I'm first in line for any extra hours when i took the 0 hours contract - i was offered that because i was as good as the people taken but they had local knowledge - but procedure has to be followed. Hopefully I'll hear tomorrow. Dp has been offered extra hours at his job too. And a friend has been let down by her cm so I'm going to nanny for her 6 hours a week too with R in tow. So the breadline, while still visible, is a little further off

Elizadoesdolittle · 11/12/2013 20:24

Not caught up yet but just noticed evils post and wanted to say how happy that's made me to read such a happy, upbeat positive post from you. You deserve every bit of happiness you get. Enjoy you're mead drink Grin

Pikz · 11/12/2013 21:09

Well done evil and chasing Grin

PP crossing everything.

Right head down for an hour to finish work and then sleep!

ValiumQueen · 11/12/2013 21:15

I too am delighted to hear the word happy from Evil SmileThanksWineBrew

Congratulations on your 6 months of freedom Chasing (((hug))) I particularly liked the fact you said you and O left XP. You are an awesome team and if he were big enough to say it, he would say thank you mummy for doing the right thing for me.

Horsey, the closing date for the PO job is Friday. I sent my application in about 10 minutes ago and I am wobbling big time. I will be beyond gutted if I don't get short-listed. There are no other applications in yet. As my husband says though, I need to play the ball, not the man. Whatever the fuck that means Grin

Hopefully I will get more than 2 hours sleep tonight. The mumps have hit. And conjunctivitis. The joys.

ValiumQueen · 11/12/2013 21:16

Oh, and Pikz so pleased you are off now my dear, but also a tad jealous.

ValiumQueen · 11/12/2013 21:17
