GT you need a sainthood!

Ditsy I hear you... It's just hard work at 4.30

PR what a weirdo

I feel horrendous. Am sat in office whilst DP takes L to doctors and then maybe to nursery. It's only week 2 and I could happily hand in my notice today as I can't cope with the heartache of work with a sick child at home. It's a shame as I enjoyed work last week.

ChasingDaisy · 09/12/2013 08:45

O just pulled himself up to standing for the first time! His motivation? A piece of tinsel just out of reach Grin

ditsygal · 09/12/2013 08:46

Yay O! hehe, its always something out of reach that inspires them!

PurplePidjin · 09/12/2013 09:09

Teatree wipes are obviously easier to manage with cloth nappies as you can bung them all in together Xmas Wink i have 30 or so little flannels that go through with the nappies every 3rd day. We use 4-6 a day, they're much more efficient than disposable ones!

ditsy breakfast is an ideal time for daddies to bond with their babies. Make dh get up with him every day. And bring you a coffee when he comes up where do you think dp gets his vvvs from Xmas Grin

PetiteRaleuse · 09/12/2013 10:35

pikz (((hugs))) btw

Was it the official night of poos last night? LO did one too.

Evilwater · 09/12/2013 10:52

Dropped off n to his dad.
"Don't I have him tomorrow?"
"Errr... No it's his Baby class tomorrow"
"Well I'm very busy today"
Me: just looked at him. "You got him till 11:30"
"How about till 11."
"Ok"

Just cleaned, the house apart from the kitchen. Phew.
A quick cuppa now.

Cake to all those that had bad nights.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 09/12/2013 10:58

Ridiculous evil and v sad.

Yest official poo night pr

Hugs pikz how's it all going now. Any news?

Lily311 · 09/12/2013 11:19

pikz huge hugs.

gt you are indeed a saint. I don't know how you do it.

pr yesterday at the Xmas market there was a pony ride. I desperately wanted o to try it but she wasn't having any of it. But there was a guy who took close pictures of the kids. The lady who did the ride said that she didn't know him, one parent questioned him and he said you could purchase the photos later. But he didn't give a card to anyone. He tried to take a pic of O and I but I said no. It was very weird and parents didn't seem to mind really.

det meant to ask but how is ds1? Behaving better?

evil sadly my sister's ex is the same. Forgetting picking the kids up, dropping them early. Not sure what is in his mind.

Good night here for O, not so good for me. Contacted lawyer, DNA clinic and filling new application in for the court.

PetiteRaleuse · 09/12/2013 11:25

DD1 just vommed a glass of water so has been sent home from nursery. Nice surprise for the paed later to see both her doctor phobic patients at once :o

She was fine this morning. If it's a gastro going by how much LO has eaten it's a very short one. But DD1 coughed a lot last night so am assuming phlegm. She tends to vom when stressed too and she was very worried about LO this morning when she didn't go to nursery...

Good job DH is off sick with man flu today.

Looks like the estate agent will be seeing us through a family visit tomorrow. Sure he'll be delighted Hmm

PetiteRaleuse · 09/12/2013 11:26

Lily I think ponies are great in theory at this age but quite intimidating up close. Next year she'll be mad for a ride. What is it with weirdos taking pictures atm?

Pikz · 09/12/2013 12:31

L has RSV still! And a ear throat and chest infection and teeth coming through.

Cried on my boss as I feel stupidly torn and upset by it all.

Going home soon.

PetiteRaleuse · 09/12/2013 12:55

pikz bastarding rsv :( go home and give him a hug Flowers

Am at paed's. Left DD1 at home with DH, she can go to GP with him later.

GTbaby · 09/12/2013 13:23

Evil I think you need to agree a set day and time each week. If he can't do it no swops. And if like today he forgot or drops early make a note of it.

TheDetective · 09/12/2013 13:23

Spent 45 mins trying to find somewhere for lunch. O has finger foods ( sandwiches) and we needed a highchair with a tray on. Finally got somewhere and he fell asleep as we arrived ffs!!!!!!!

Arrrghhhh! Kids!

Go home Pikz. Fuck work x

Lily311 · 09/12/2013 13:25

Just Wanted to say that my secret Santa has arrived. Thank you so much, xxx

Elizadoesdolittle · 09/12/2013 13:35

pikz Sad get yourself home and don't worry about work. Easier said than done I know but work really can wait!

sounds like my sleepy wishes didn't work for the babies. some awful quiche nights. Brew to those in need.

BigPigLittlePig · 09/12/2013 14:10

Hello!

Have been on-call all weekend. F has spent each morning crawling around shouting mumumum and banging on the front door. I cried leaving her Sunday morning as she was hysterical Sad.

Sorry there is so much motherfucking illness around - I can't remember everyone as there are so many lol. You chatty lot had filled 8 or 9 pages!

GT wtf. I don't know how you stay. My MIL was over whinging that I haven't emptied the toast crumbs out the bottom of the toaster on Sunday - luckily I wasn't here as would have been Angry at just that.

Loving the house porn.

Um.

I still love omeprazole. I don't want to be un-thinking of those who have had dreadful nights, but last night, she went 6.20-7.20 (ie 13 hours) and then only because I woke her. I feel refreshed Smile

D for dog day tomorrow.

BigPigLittlePig · 09/12/2013 14:10

Oh, and kyz has been noticable by her absence. Hope she is ok xx

Sophiathesnowfairy · 09/12/2013 14:17

Oohhh you lot. I am rubbish today you are all having illnesses and DRs and Laeds and I don't know what to say but (((((hugs))))))) and have hope that tonight and tomorrow will be better.

I am just tired and have the family cold and would dearly love to curl up in bed. But NO. I will take boys out for fresh air, to write in the sand for photos for a card for DD2s birthday. Perhaps it will re motivate me.

Also agonising over Christmas menu. What to buy in advance and what to risk leaving till 23rd. I need to order a turkey too.

Experiment day yesterday. I did slow cooked brisket, but on the bone. The taste was amazing really really flavoursome. I also, during the week last week, had parboiled, coated in flour and basted some potatoes, then froze (I may have mentioned it) anyways, I defrosted then roasted as usual and they worked, minus the prep. So defo doing that. Then for pudding I did this mincemeat apple caramel, sponge on the bottom, layer of mincemeat then appleae with butter and Demerara over was very yummy. But won't be doing that. Have decided to do my trifle then Christmas pudding and Yule log for Boxing Day. Which I would love to get from M&S I wonder if I could get DH or SIL to pick up in advance.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 09/12/2013 14:18

I too had been thinking of kyz then she popped up. Hope you are ok babe. Xx

Pikz · 09/12/2013 15:43

I need to reflect on the positives of today. DP showed what an amazing dad he is and i don't give him enough credit.

Also my boss and director are proper lovely.

As DP said he hoped today proved we are a team and I have to let go a bit. He's right

PetiteRaleuse · 09/12/2013 15:56

That's a lovely post pikz

Ok what to do with a toddler who can't keep anything down but is desperately hungry and thirsty. Has managed some sips of water and compote in the last few minutes but I gave them to her because she was begging. Until I gave her that nothing was staying down including water and am hovering over her with a sick bowl. Also has 39 fever so a suppository will be going in before bed. She was fine this morning when I dropped her at nursery Hmm

horseylady · 09/12/2013 16:04

Were still on abx here ATM.

Hugs pikz

Just to say what a shit hole the nhs are. We are allowed two days emergency leave a year. My boss kindly let me use them fir last week. The rest was annual leave. Nice. Then actually I'll post about it on face book....

Lily311 · 09/12/2013 16:07
