That's pretty shit yw. I don't know if we get a yr check here? Had an 8 month one. Actually my friend mentioned her lo who is 2 days younger then E having a yr check but I've not had one through. She sees enough consultants/health care people etc so not going to bother chasing it. Anyway I digress....why on earth they didn't do weight and length is beyond me. Did have a giggle at drive by health care comment though Smile

Operation DH settles the bear is going well. J seems to be having a chat show with his cot soft toys and by DH's rerendering of "Twinkle, twinkle" into "Go the fuck to sleep" DH is losing the will. I shouldn't laugh. He's just bought me dairy free choc tiffin. Smile

YW I have often wondered about my J and CF because of the cough and mucus. He is a fat little sod though, which is very reassuring. I think it is best they do the test to rule it out, but I also think it is the reflux and just your J being wee.

I am in such a sweary mood. I am so fucked off with FTBWCH. Hopefully I will feel a bit more positive tomorrow.

We got a 9 month check, that's it til 2.5 years.

Also, they won't do height here, even when I asked. I just do it myself. :)

disclaimer ignore most advice I offer until I have had sleep

yw no to cmpi. There's no pattern to the reflux. They think his belly is damaged so they've given a week of it to settle and then review if he gets worse on stopping. I want to try a probiotic. I just need to find one of be recommended one. His reflux is fine with no colds. We have no issue at all.

Horsey so it wasn't linked with introducing cow's milk (don't know if you have). That's great news! The heel prick only detects 85 / 90% of CF cases apparently. I had no clue! I'd like to try J on probiotics too to give his gut a helping hand....

Anyways thanks luis for the offer of help. We're sorted now my DH is just kinda useless in the diy zone so hadn't told spark about the right fuse. I even have a video of my dad discovering this as we couldn't find torch so I gave him my phone with the video recording so he could see by using the flash!

horsey sounds like a nightmare! Hope things are improving now.

yw at least your HV came to see J. Mine called a week or so ago to make an appt. I explained that the time she wanted to come J would be at nursery and did she want me to keep him off. I added that I'd need someone in the house with me as I can't care for j just now and she said nope I don't need to see him as I saw he was ok when I gave him his MMR!!! So Shes coming to do check without j being here!! WTF?!

Continuing with the kitchen saga I don't want to use the micro or oven until I've pointed out the faults/chips scratches etc to the joiners so were still not doing well for food.

I need hints/tips for what I can send to nursery for j that is dairy/egg/nut free for lunch. I've been sending Ella's kitchen pouches til last week when I discovered some toddler micro meal type things that I've checked and some are ok. I'd like to send homemade stuff though and soon we will have a kitchen again so will be easier. Any ideas? He also can't have beans, lentils etc just now due to DHs allergy.

DHs Xmas night out tomorrow, at the casino! I'm going to mums with kids to be babysat. Were all staying over! Including DH!
