I am even more dubious about the announcement re Madnela since it coicindes with the release of the film about his life. (If you didn't see earlier I had heard from somewhere that he had actually died a while ago, I tried this morning to find it on the persons fb page who had shared the link but it was gone. ) am not usually one for a conspiracy theory but one never knows.

eliza a pre Christmas move would be tricky I agree. Have you got decs up already? Are you having so done move you?

lily how are you today after all that was yesterday?

PetiteRaleuse · 06/12/2013 14:03

eliza that sounds nightmarish.

Hoping yw's appointment goes well

PetiteRaleuse · 06/12/2013 14:04

I love conspiracy theories.

Elizadoesdolittle · 06/12/2013 14:23

Will be putting up the decs tomorrow. We will be having somebody to pack for us but I've literally done no preperation. Also I wanted to get the school application done using my current address. Whilst my new house is literally less than 5 mins walk from here it could make a difference of being just slightly out of the catchment for my favourite school. I really feel like I have no right to moan about moving quickly but its just come as a shock. As far as I knew the chain wasn't complete yet.

We had our dietician appt. We can stop using the powder but will continue with the special milk. E is 2nd centile for weight but her length has dropped to 0.4th. Thinking of yw's J too x

TheDetective · 06/12/2013 15:11

I thought I should properly update about the paeds appt yesterday.

Saw a lovely registrar, who just offered to test him there and then for both dairy and tomato. I've only been wanting this done for, ooooh, 8 months?!

She was great, and at the end of the appointment she whispered to me that she understood how we felt as she too was intolerant of diary, although could now manage it in small amounts.

Different to the last appointment when the consultant told me there was no such thing as intolerance.

Am so very glad he isn't allergic, and it's simply intolerance. Doesn't make it any easier right now, but long term, fingers tightly crossed, it will!

:)

She advised waiting til he is 18 months to try dairy, however the dietician advised end of jan/feb.

Based on the fact we've had 7 weeks of disturbed sleep, I think I can cope for another 5.5 months of a diary free diet before trying again!

Zamboni · 06/12/2013 15:34

det me too with tangerines. Got through boxes of them!

eliza fx the chain is keen on a post-Xmas move!

Wishing recoveries to horsey's E, isles' M and flouncy and anyone else in need. Luck to YW for J's apt.

Had lovely day with preg friend shopping for baby kit.

Also finally had toenails sorted!!! After a 12 month permanent infection, much DIY surgery, toenail removal and immediate problematic re growth, 7 courses of antibiotics, only wearing clown shoes 2 sizes too big for weeks, and much complaining by moi, my GP referred me to a podiatrist. The apt was in 12 weeks! So my boss pointed out my private healthcare benefit and within a week I had seen a consultant who today removed 2 strips of each toenail and treated the nail bed so it can't grow back. I'm in some pain now the anaesthetic has worn off but my god I am pleased about this potentially being a final treatment. I'm v grateful for the NHS and have always had fab treatment but I am so chuffed I had a route to v fast treatment. Well worth the £100 excess on the policy!

Sophiathesnowfairy · 06/12/2013 15:42

Have you see the YANBU mugs! I want one. Or a YABU mug!

ChasingDaisy · 06/12/2013 15:53

Started a lovely little routine with O this week. After his afternoon nap (2hr 15 today - result!) we have story and snack time. We cuddle up on the sofa under a blanket, eat some fruit and I read a story. Until O gets bored. So usually only half a story.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 06/12/2013 16:01

That's lovely chasing Xmas Smile

PetiteRaleuse · 06/12/2013 16:42

ChasingDaisy · 06/12/2013 16:59

Pass deserves to be famous.

I am showing all the signs of coming down with another sickness bug. I am ignoring it and hoping it goes away as I have far too much to do this weekend to be ill. I need to do all my Christmas shopping and make the flat look suitably festive.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 06/12/2013 17:00

Ooo where is talk round up?

PetiteRaleuse · 06/12/2013 17:07

Passmethecrisps · 06/12/2013 19:15

Indeed vq!

Roundup?

I didn't get the email!

Passmethecrisps · 06/12/2013 19:26

Happy Friday laydees and gentleman!

I would happily have baked potato and beans for tea eliza. It's DH that makes us eat proper meals.

Think the p-meister has kept DH on his toes today.

Rubbish to coming down with something chasing. Have you been taking vit C and iron? My DH is very keen on taking berroca daily even though I think it is a crock of shit and just turns your p highlighter yellow. It might be worth it though if you are struggling a bit

PetiteRaleuse · 06/12/2013 19:35

Will fwd email to anyone who asks. Just gimme your email address and wait til tomorrow

Passmethecrisps · 06/12/2013 19:38

Give squabbling toddlers a baguette each and let them duel.

Squabbling and dinner sorted!

PetiteRaleuse · 06/12/2013 19:41

:o

So far tonight. One bust lip, dd1. Two bumped heads, DD1 and LO. One almost broken but not quite foot which is tingling, swollen and sending shooting wibbles up leg, me (tried to kick a balloon, missed, hit the wall, hard).

horseylady · 06/12/2013 19:42

Thanks lovely ladies. Signal dreadful in the hospital!!

Anyway, we ended up in a&e for a seemingly unrelated matter. Monday had been an ok day, after a week of sick. He was going back to cm after all clear from gp. Massive vom after milk then settled. Woke at 11.30 hysterical and wouldn't settle. He seemed in so much pain so just before midnight I said he needed to go to a&e. So we went in, sats were fine. But he wouldn't wee and they were worried about dehydration but more his behaviour was just bizarre. So they admitted him for monitoring and were concerned about a twisted gut. Bloods were taken and he was canullated. Monday night he was ok. Tuesday ate breakfast and vommed, then started refusing all drink and food. Anything that went down came up. Bloods ok, urine showed he'd not eaten well for days but again nothing untowards. Gut fine. No real temp but was starting to raise. Decided to place in a drip overnight as he couldn't keep anything down and review Wednesday.

Wednesday came. Still struggling to keep food down or even get liquid into him. Chest slightly worrying so sent for x rays. They showed nothing too alarming and by now his temp was over 39 and not controlled by paracetamol. So they did a lumbar puncture and more bloods and decided to start on IV anti biotics and more fluids. Sadly the second canulation failed and the first one didn't withstand the full fluid delivery so they left him overnight. Thursday morning all clear for meningitis waiting for further results, still being sick. But seemingly brighter and lower temp after the anti biotics. Decide to monitor again. Took in some fluids, not enough, wanted to re drip for anti biotics and fluid but decided abx could be given via IM and they would leave fluids as omezerpole seemed to calm stomach. Drank small volumes over night, kept stable temp and no vom. Aye today and we were discharged with amoxicillin and omezerpole. Diagnosis, chest infectionand possible reflux relapse. Which I went to the gp with last Friday and
Monday!!!

They're fairly certain he never got over whatever it was he had 5 or 6 weeks ago and having the jabs finished him off. I wish I'd not gone now but maybe it would always have happened? Who knows.

Anyway, he needs to eat more, drink more and not vom and he stays at home. He's currently licking peanut butter off toast.

Worst days ever!!

PetiteRaleuse · 06/12/2013 19:42

Wine necessary. So go the fuck to sleeeeep squabbling brats. NOW!
