Thank you PP and Sophia

Flouncey I can't wait to see the kitchen and hope the electrics are fixed

Today I channeled my inner Sophia and have loved being at home, out walking and making fruit flapjack and cooking with L.

It just took 3 days back at work.

He's walking properly now :D

Passmethecrisps · 05/12/2013 19:07

Nice one on walking pikz!

And flounce, what a lovely offer! I would love to take some things off your hands if you are looking to get rid. P grows so slowly that I get bored of her clothes!

PetiteRaleuse · 05/12/2013 19:11

Anyone with older kids know if there is a growth spurt at 2.6-3? DD1 is troughing. Got in from nursery and demanded milk, then cheese, then bread, then more cheese...

Pikz · 05/12/2013 19:17

It's random this walking. He's been doing it 4/5 weeks but tonight it just clicked and he's walking everywhere and trying to run!

FlouncingIsles · 05/12/2013 19:28

En route to OOH Sad

No wee since yesterday lunchtime and d&v. Poor wee soul. Sad

PetiteRaleuse · 05/12/2013 19:30

Oh no. Sorry to hear that. D&v is a bugger.

ChasingDaisy · 05/12/2013 19:30

OK, O is in bed, chores are done and I have my hot water bottle and a cuppa. This might be long and boring but I want to record yesterday so I thought I would do it here...

So, me and Just Friends Guy took O to London yesterday. It was pretty much brilliant from start to finish. When we got on the train there were no seats so the conductor kicked someone out of their seat in First Class so that me and O could sit down Grin I was sat next to a lovely lady (who I reckon is a MNer) who told me all about her 2 and 4 year old and the fact that they didn't walk until 15 and 19 months respectively, which was quite reassuring. I also learned a lot about her birth experience with them both and now feel I know her more intimately than is perhaps appropriate

Anyway, we went to Nandos for lunch when we got there and O charmed the waiter who served us, watching him wherever he went and smiling at him. The waiter then dared to actually speak to O, who then burst into tears Grin Poor waiter felt terrible.

Then we took him to Hamleys which he loved (And yep Eliza, waiting for the lifts was a nightmare!). O kept holding his arms out for JFG to hold him instead of me Grin Hmm He doesn't do that to anyone else, so it was lovely to see. I don't think O would have noticed if I wasn't there to be honest. JFG is sooo good with O heart meltingly good making sure he was warm enough, wiping his nose, playing with him etc. Oh dear, I totally love him.

He had an hours nap in his pram while we walked down to the Southbank and woke just in time for the aquarium which he LOVED! He laughed hysterically every time he saw the rays and was fascinated by everything. Finally, we walked along Southbank, looked at the Christmas market and drank mulled wine while O fell asleep bang on his normal bedtime Smile

It was such a lovely day. Made me very happy. JFG actually hates London but he knew how much I love it there at Christmas so I massively appreciate him taking me there did I mention I love him?

Piccies on FB.

ChasingDaisy · 05/12/2013 19:32

X-post. That sounds horrid isles, I hope she is OK and they can get some fluids into her.

Pikz · 05/12/2013 19:34

Hope you are both ok isles.

Sounds lovely chasing

PetiteRaleuse · 05/12/2013 19:35

chasing that sounds lovely

Zamboni · 05/12/2013 19:40

What a good day that sounds chasing.

isles hope M is better soon.

Hope all ok for haggis based quichsters.

Bloody long day, train delayed, only just home in time for bedtime to see DC.

YellowWellies · 05/12/2013 19:53

Isles oh no! Poor M no wee since yesterday lunchtime wah. Hopefully its just been hidden by diarrhoeal nappies? Blind optimism? You must be beside yourself. Get well soon M!

Chasing sounds lush! Yey for JFG and yey for rays.

I've still got a cracking sore throat and headache and am contemplating going to bed when J does. Sad

Got the HV tomorrow for his one year check. I wonder how he'll weigh in / measure up as he always weighs more on the HV scales than the paeds. Straw clutching much? Hmm

Passmethecrisps · 05/12/2013 19:58

Poor wee M! Hope she is well soon isles

And you yellow! Get yourself to bed!

PetiteRaleuse · 05/12/2013 20:07

yw Flowers have the hcps expressed real concern about his weight?

BigPigLittlePig · 05/12/2013 20:16

SHE ONLY BLOODY WENT AND SLEPT THROUGH!!!!

I am thankful for omeprazole. Which meant I had to wake my still soundly asleep baby girl at 7.20 this morning. And woke up in my own bed next to my dh and had a morning cuddle Smile

Anyway.

Isles I hope M is ok, and you too, of course. Must be very worrying - like YW said, hopefully the small wees have been hidden by big stinky runny poos? FC for her xx

Flouncy sorry to hear things are still, erm, delicate. And Angry for you about the electrician, sounds v frustrating. Is he coming back at all?

Stunt Shock at wobbly cars. It's only been a bit blustery here today, not a lot of leaves left on the trees anymore.

Lily ((((hugs))))

For the first time this year, am feeling a teensy bit excited about Christmas now. It's taken a while, as have been v gloomy about working. But am almost tempted to get the tree up. Every year, a mobile Santas sleigh goes around the streets of our town, playing Christmassy songs and with actual Father Christmas sat on the back waving, to raise money for the kids hospice. Tonight it came past our house Grin Sadly F had been asleep for an hour already so missed out, but can you imagine how excited she'll be next year!?

Thanks for the suggestions re: presents for DNs, so difficult.

Ooh, and the dog cage arrived today! And an instruction manual for puppies Grin

YellowWellies · 05/12/2013 20:18

PR we're seeing the paed every six weeks - so I think they're pretty concerned. You don't get appointments that frequently on the NHS unless they're worried. He eats like a horse - everyone comments on how much he eats - he's just not growing. He's grown 1cm since August Sad

ValiumQueen · 05/12/2013 20:23

Yes YW they are concerned clearly, but he is not a prize marrow! He sounds as if he is doing everything right, but is just wee. Are you worried?

J had his MMR and has just done a sodding great poo so back soon x

BigPigLittlePig · 05/12/2013 20:25

Has anyone else not had the 1 yr check with hv? I haven't bothered/got in touch, as I've no real concerns....

YW must be a worry for you. At least he is happy, and chatty, and mischievous and all those other lovely things. Just diddy with it.

PetiteRaleuse · 05/12/2013 20:32

Update on horsey's E. Didn't mention yesterday but one of his tests was a lumbar puncture. The good news, fab news is he tested negative for meningitis. He is still in hospital, temp more stable and less sickness. He has even been up and playing. Good news on the whole, fingers crossed he's on the mend.

ValiumQueen · 05/12/2013 20:35

No check here BP. Jags went ok, although had to wait 1.5 hours in a room full of vomiting kids. Needless to say he stayed on my lap and was not happy. I was not having him crawl on the vom covered floor, but other mums were letting their LOs do it!

I was hoping to see the Dr before the jags, but was called in by the nurses first. The Dr called his name just as I was leaving. Nothing from the Paeds yet, so I had to explain everything, without telling him he was wrong all along, which was very hard. He then said he wanted to reduce the Omeprazole and stop the formula. Twat. Anyway, I explained again, and he left things as I wanted, but said he did not want J to be on meds and formula for ever. I said neither did I, I didn't want him on either in the first place, and said that until I put the dose up 4 weeks ago he was still not eating. He then asked how I was, and I said I was fine now my baby was fixed. I left the room and burst into tears. I will be writing to them soon, and may swap GPs.

Wind bad here, and snow looked like it was settling at one point.

AngryByrd · 05/12/2013 20:36

Hi ladies!

I should have joined earlier. My daughter Isla was born on the 20th of November. She is my second child, first is DS who is now 5.

DD has just spit up lots of clear liquid...very worried as I've only fed her breast milk. Any thoughts? x

AngryByrd · 05/12/2013 20:40

Oh my mistake! stupid pregna brain.
