Chasing L took his first step unaided 10 days after his 1st bday and is only now at 13 months starting to take a few at a time in a more steady way. He is more of a 'thinker' too, with the shape sorting & stacking rings etc. So don't worry about O he is doing great.

VQ there was a slightly comedy moment amongst the day of tests when a vairy attractive med student took my pulse with his fingers and said, oh your pulse quickened while I was taking that but I expect it's just the stress of the situation. I may have blushed slightly Blush and as soon as he was out of earshot DH pretended to be very grumpy about it Grin

BigPigLittlePig · 27/11/2013 22:44

LOL JJ - meant to say, in a not-being-scary way, that although lots of triggers for AF, if it happens again, make sure you get a referral to cardiology, and you should be on blood thinners based on current recommendations. Glad it's all settled down for now though - fc it buggers off for good.

ChasingDaisy · 27/11/2013 22:45

I'll check out your thread Fatima.

Tonight I am feeling sad that I am not celebrating my baby's first birthday as a family with his daddy. Not how things should have panned out.

But O is snoring away over the monitor which is making me giggle.

Night quiche x

BigPigLittlePig · 27/11/2013 22:47

But chasing you are happy and O is happy and that means more than his mum and dad living under the same roof. Happy birthday for tomorrow to the wee dude and sleep well both xx

FlouncingIsles · 27/11/2013 22:47

Fatima I am getting my hair done tomorrow too. Although have wimped out of colour as a) can't afford it, b) can't be bothered to maintain it and c) I kinda like the nearish natural colour my hair is now.

M woke up about half an hour ago staring at the ceiling screaming. She did the same head shaking 'no no no' thing she did earlier when my cousin scared her. I think she has just had her first nightmare. Sad Sad It took about 15/20 mins to settle her down and she is now cuddled up on me stroking the dog. She screams whenever I go to put her down. Sad I think I will take her in with me tonight and hope this is a one off blip.

FlouncingIsles · 27/11/2013 22:49

If it helps I wish it were me and M celebrating her birthday alone on Tuesday. I am unbelievably jealous and angry that I won't be with her for most of her birthday when I am the one who has spent every single day with her from birth.

must not cry

Hi all, had a lovely evening boxing up baby stuff for my pal who is due at Christmas. Then spent an hour chatting to an old school friend who got in touch over FB. Thirty years of catching up. She had a small baby too so that was encouraging.

Despite 4 hours sleep last night J was an angel at nursery. How? How? I have been an evil witch at work Grin

I hope your heart stays nice and chilled overnight JJ, and I hope J sleeps tonight flouncy. Hugs to everyone else, and happy birthday O for tomorrow x I hope you have a lovely day Chasing x

ValiumQueen · 27/11/2013 22:54

Sorry X post Chasing. Try to concentrate on the Joy that is O tomorrow. Celebrate him. He is wonderful. You deserve so much more that XP had to offer, and one day you will get your cuddle x

ValiumQueen · 27/11/2013 22:55

Sophiathesnowfairy · 27/11/2013 23:09

Well. O is not walking, talking, shape sorting OR stacking. But can can almost feed himself with a spoon. Yes! He puts the spoon Into the food. Scoops some and puts it in his mouth assuming it hasn't dropped off the spoon on the way there maybe I need to spend more time shape sorting with him.

Today turned out just manic. After spending the whole of my 1hour 45 min childless lunchtime battling with the tree, I then ended up driving the PILs one hour, one whole hour, to pick up their car from the menders. Then one hour back. With boys in tow. Luckily SIL made the boys their tea so all I had to do was cart them home and snuggle them into pjs and bed.

Miss my DH. Have had a nigthtime FaceTime but want a cuddle.

Hugs to chasing and to fi and hope you get good nights sleep to vq and flouncy and stunt and yw and any other sleep dodger mummies.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 27/11/2013 23:10

Oh yeah and jj hope you are all better and relaxed.

MsJupiterJones · 27/11/2013 23:14

Thanks BP, they have given me a referral letter for GP which I've dropped off so should see cardiologist soon.

Chasing you and O are definitely better as a team of two, it was just my mum and me for the first few years of my life and we have a fantastic bond - she also went on to have my wonderful brother & sister and we are all close as anything. You have given O a fantastic gift by making the break in the brave way you did and starting a new life for you both. Totally understandable to feel emotional about it all on this day, all first birthdays are not just the babies' birthdays but also the anniversary of an extraordinary, momentous and intense time for us as parents. I certainly cried on L's! Just don't lose sight of how much you've achieved.

Happy nearly-birthday O xx

flouncymcflouncerson · 28/11/2013 00:34

We are on wake up 3 of screaming since 11pm bedtime . He's choked with a cold I think, runny nose and clingy as anything.

Lily311 · 28/11/2013 04:38

jj how scary. Hope you are ok.
flouncy hugs. Hope your night was not too bad.
sophia tree already? Oh my goodness. It really is nearly Xmas, isn't it?
isles hugs.

Happy birthday to minichasing. Have a lovely day.

I am losing my internet connection for a while, moving day arrived. I am knackered but excited. See you all soon.

Pikz · 28/11/2013 06:04

Lily good luck with the move

Happy birthday mini chasing and a belated one to mini Bry and anyone else I missed.

Flouncey hope your ok and hugs to isles.

Pikz · 28/11/2013 06:20

Sorry small person woke but thank god after a week of the most shit sleep he remembered how to sleep nicely in his cot.

Jabs today so at least I've had one good night! X

Thechick · 28/11/2013 06:21

Morning all. I've been awake for an hour and I'm so tired. Everyone else in the house is asleep..... Ho hum!!

My boy isn't walking or talking properly. He says thank you at the right times but it doesn't sound to outsiders like thank you more like dada!! And says dada but to everyone not just dh. He babbles but not real words. He walks with me holding his hands and he's 13 and a half months. He loves walking.
We aren't getting a proper tree. Am I the only one? The thought of pine needles and shiny decorations and a 14 month old, it just seems too much so we are going to have a little tree up high on the fire place and the gifts can go below.

Thechick · 28/11/2013 06:25

And happy birthday to all the quiche birthdays

Sophiathesnowfairy · 28/11/2013 06:43

Happy birthday babychasing

Yes we are tree. Real. 7 ft.

We only got it this week as the forrestry man came on Tuesday and we asked him to bring us one down. Saved us the faff and needles in the car. It is in the front hall where the small people don't really go so shouldn't be a prob. We have had no or tiny tree for 4 years I can stand it no more.

I was remembering, as I was battling with the tree yesterday, the year I was on my own and I was determined to have a tree in my first floor flat, so I bought it but the idiots at the garden canter wouldn't chop the wedge off the bottom for me. And I dragged through the fire doors and up the stairs. And spent Christmas alone. Look where I am now. Grin

Morning musings, must stop this.

PetiteRaleuse · 28/11/2013 06:47

Happy birthday little O !

Kyz · 28/11/2013 06:50

Morning all! trying to be a good quiche member now :) Am just gonna go from where I posted last night because I'll never have time to catch up

Woohoo for good nights from f bplp :) sounds like things are improving :)

Have you decided what you're having done fatima?

Eek jj that must've been scary! Glad everything is ok now

chasing you and o make a great team, one which is definitely better off without your xp :) happy birthday to him for today

Hugs isles

Sounds nice vq I love catching up with old friends :)

Sounds mad sophia! Is your dh back soon?

Gosh flouncing that doesn't sound fun at all in the slightest! Hope you got some sleep eventually bless you

Good luck moving lily

Jabs here too today pikz hope they go ok! Not looking forward to them personally! Also I never go out and have spent almost every day for 4.5 weeks decorating, and was supposed to be seeing old work friends Friday... What's the betting it goes tits up so to speak! Obviously I hope he's ok just because I don't want him to feel rubbish etc but on a slightly selfish note I kicked myself when I realised my plans were for the day after the bloody jabs!

We're having a tree but it's not a real one chick

Hope everyone has a good day today :)

Sophiathesnowfairy · 28/11/2013 06:59

DH back tonight kyz so not too bad.
