Good luck chasing.

YellowWellies · 15/11/2013 15:27

Eliza that's v cool. I've got a soft spot for Alexander. I think it was Oxford which gave me a weakness for posh boys Grin .

Chasing you're right there isn't really a good time for jags.

The cleaners have just been. The house looks immaculate. My sister and her 2 and 4 year old arrive, for a sleepover, in 20 minutes. I've not thought this through have I? Envy

Pikz · 15/11/2013 15:39

Happy birthday PP and J and belated to C.

Am on my own as DP away so ok chance of catching up. L better again and is taking more and more steps. Think we might have a walker properly by his birthday!

ChasingDaisy · 15/11/2013 15:41

I love Alexander too. Posh & funny does it for me. Oh and clever too.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 15/11/2013 15:43

Have just had environmental health knock on my door about the wind turbine. Someone has complained about the noise. Can only be one old vindictive person across road. I am really upset about it.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 15/11/2013 15:46

Also disaster. O would not sleep at lunch while I am mopping the floor. So I go and get him. He has sharted. Very smelly. So I go to change him. DS1 says can I watch CBeebies. I say wait till I've changed O. All goes quiet. Next thing I know he is mopping the back hall floor with excessive amounts of water! Confused

ChasingDaisy · 15/11/2013 15:47

We just had O's first word, in context Grin I was trying to cut his nails and he pulled his hand away and said 'No' very firmly.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 15/11/2013 16:39

Good job O. Clever boy.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 15/11/2013 16:40

fruitpastilles · 15/11/2013 17:12

Happy birthday for yesterday to C apple
Happy birthday to pidji and stunt's J. Is it anyone else's birthday today? I haven't been keeping up very well the past few days, so sorry if I have missed anyone.

PetiteRaleuse · 15/11/2013 17:20

Don't worry about the jabs chasing.

Lily311 · 15/11/2013 17:38

It is wine o'clock. I'm making it. Join me sophia.

She is down. Thanks fuck.

FlouncingIsles · 15/11/2013 17:53

Happy birthday babies and pidj

I NEED wine. But not before I have got through an hour of tutoring on a subject I am utterly clueless about (high school chemistry anyone?) I have a good friend coming down tonight for a 'gin and a bitch'. He is a mutual friend but agrees with me P is a prickly man...

Sophiathesnowfairy · 15/11/2013 17:54

Thanks lily and pr I'll just sit down.

PurplePidjin · 15/11/2013 17:55

Happy birthday for yesterday C Cake

It's wine o'clock as soon as i finish this feed. My lovely friend gave me a bottle of Prosecco my only present so far and dp is stuck on the M40

Sophiathesnowfairy · 15/11/2013 18:01

Oh no pidge that used to be me on a Friday night on the m40. Miss my girls but glad I don't have to do that Friday trek anymore.

ValiumQueen · 15/11/2013 18:08

Just came home to a gift from the Quiche Alliance. Thank you so much Smile after the shitty day I have had, I really needed that. Humbled xxx

PetiteRaleuse · 15/11/2013 18:23

Sophiathesnowfairy · 15/11/2013 18:28

ChasingDaisy · 15/11/2013 18:42

Aww that's lovely VQ Smile I'm not sure what you received but I have been on the receiving end of a quiche gift and it is really lovely.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 15/11/2013 18:52

Yep. Take a seat. Here you go Wine

PetiteRaleuse · 15/11/2013 19:06

I'm debating having a glass of wine. Don't know if cba to open a bottle though

FlouncingIsles · 15/11/2013 19:06

M's new carseat arrived today. Britax first class to be used between my mum's car and - for the time being - P's car. which is legally mine but that's a whole other battle that I will deal with when the time comes. I can't fit a rear facing in mine so have no choice other to have her FF. BUT, there is no reason why she can't be RF in the new seat for another few months until she hits 13kg. (she's currently 9.8kg). Anyway, parents agree it will be used RF in their car. P is adamant he wants her FF as she "gets bored going backwards just to keep mummy happy". How the fuck do I deal with this one?

PurplePidjin · 15/11/2013 19:22

Vvvdp has been home at 5 all week so I'm not complaining now much

FF isn't as safe but is still safe iyswim? Maybe that's a battle that's not worth fighting, just limit the times he takes M out alone in the car? When he was off, dp would push and push himself to take R on long walks to the pond or beach when actually he's just as happy in the park over the road - you could use the "Oh you've had such a hard week and you're such a fab dad for taking her, why not just go for a bit of a walk?" line Wink

BigPigLittlePig · 15/11/2013 19:28

I would tend to agree with PP, flouncing - nowt wrong with FF, otherwise they wouldn't sell it. And whilst RF might be preferable, perhaps save that particular battle.

Both girls have been in bed since 6.50. It is a blessing that dsd cannot yet tell the time, as I may have had to bend the truth lie in order to achieve this.

Would bloody love some wine right now, quite a stressful day really, but with the thought of a refluxey night ahead, I can't bring myself to do it. I shall instead donate the glass to whoever would like it.

Any nice plans for the weekends ahead?
