Yesterday I had a cheese and onion pasty, two chocolates and a donut and he slept through!!!! Both nights he's slept through I've eaten dairy. Smile I think we might soon be ready for me to try drown my fat ass in pizza and stinky cheeses. OMFG I might be able to eat cheese this Christmas. Last year my food choices were rubbish as I was only just learning how to do dairy free. OMFG I'm so excited!

GT I'm an environmental consultant. My background originally was climate science but I do a lot of policy advice too now for the energy industry and impact assessment and planning advice for renewable energy. I'm lucky rather than hardworking to have fallen on my feet with this freelancing lark Smile

R pooed at 4:15, back to sleep at 5:30 and is still asleep Shock

ChasingDaisy · 15/11/2013 09:26

Happy Birthday Pidj and J! Grin

YellowWellies · 15/11/2013 09:29

I reckon we ought to add our LO's birthday dates to the FB group calendar as I'm thoroughly lost now. As one of the first group of Nov Mums to have a baby last year - I was either still in hospital or on planet newborn and missed loads of birth threads. Blush

GTbaby · 15/11/2013 09:40

YW I was one of first to have baby and I don't have a clue who had what when. I still forget who has had boys or girls.

QQ stay on socks? H is not walking and his socks come off every two seconds.
Anyone found magic socks?

StuntNun · 15/11/2013 09:41

J is having a great birthday. Balloons are a big hit. Let's hope the egg-free birthday cake is edible a hit too.

Morning peeps.

What a lot to catch. Up on over night.

I am awaiting with anticipation;

The pics of the killer penguin
FIs best seller!

vq have to say I would be gutted if they said that about O. But it seems that you have a good relationship with them. He sounds like his is bright as a button.

Happy birthdays and Cake to all today's birthday babies, mini pidge and mini stunt

Lilly sounds like you have had such a rough 24 hours. Agree you need to sleep when O sleeps over next couple of days if you can ((((hugs for you and O))))

yw rock on the dairy fest

O still has a terrible cough. I was up at 5:30 with him this morning. We still have the inhaler so I am going to use it as diligently over the weekend and see if it clears it. He has his MMR on Tuesday I doubt they will do it if he is still this coughy.

YellowWellies · 15/11/2013 09:50

Happy birthday J!

GT Jonas was constantly chucking his socks out of the buggy, to the dog etc - so now I put him in tights. Grin

Sophiathesnowfairy · 15/11/2013 09:50

gt yes they are called tights!

Honestly. Gap ones are the best if the bunch but O pulls his socks off so they have no chance. If we are out and about on a cold day he wears tights. I think loads of the other boy quichettes do too!

BigPigLittlePig · 15/11/2013 10:02

This morning Fs hair has two wild curls, one on either side like wee devils horns. That would fit with her current antics - scaling the stairs, chewing ornaments, etc.

Happy birthday pidj and ministunt - hope you both have lovely days.

Lily I hope you can get some rest today, it must be so tough not being able to offload onto someone, even if only for 5 minutes so you can silent scream, wee and have a cuppa in peace.

Took advantage of the roofers ladder today and got the christmas decs out the roof - they won't go up until a week beforehand - F is resolutely ignoring all the sparkle and colour and pazazz, and is repeatedly opening and closing the airing cupboard door.

Lily311 · 15/11/2013 10:41

Happy birthday j and pidj.

gt I got O socks with leather sole for home, we have wooden floor so they are perfect. They go on top of her socks and I just use them as slippers? They are moccasins.

So far she is ok, very quiet and wants cuddles. Can't wait till lunch time, we both need to sleep.

misslaughalot · 15/11/2013 11:09

Happy birthday to littlepidj and stuntbaby, hope you're having lovely days!

Lily sending sleepy dust your way!

20 mins until I can pick up O from her settle session. Boy did she kick off when I left. Once I left the nursery I had to walk past the window of her room to get home and could hear her crying. Broke my heart and I cried all the way of my walk home. Can't wait to go get her...

applepieinthesky · 15/11/2013 11:58

It was C's birthday yesterday. We have had a busy couple of days in London so haven't had time to post.

We drove down on wednesday, checked into the hotel then visited the Science museum, Natural History museum and went out to dinner at a Persian restaurant. Thursday we went to the Christmas grotto at Harrods and C was all smiles until we went into the room with Father Christmas. He cried and cried and cried. We tried everything but he wouldn't stop even when he sang happy birthday to him. DP says whenever he's naughty now he will threaten to take him to see Father Christmas Grin One thing he did enjoy was Buckingham Palace. By chance we got there and they were doing the changing of the guard so he got to hear the band play and see policemen on horseback. When we got home we had a tea party for him with his little cousins but he cried at the fireworks as well so didn't get to see them.

He got so many presents - toys, clothes and money. We left half of his toys at my parents because he's there three days a week when I'm at work so it will be nice for him to have some new toys to play with there. At the weekend we need to sort out all his old clothes and toys because we are rapidly running out of space (already). We will keep anything that's unisex for when we have another, anything else will be bagged up and donated to charity.

I haven't had time to catch up on the thread yet but saw evils's news about the house. You are going so well. You won't regret getting out of there. He sounds absolutely vile and a bit unhinged. Please be careful.

Happy birthday to mini pidj and stunt Smile

ChasingDaisy · 15/11/2013 12:12

Just had a driving lesson. Went much better than the last one although I am still crap.

Got the date for O's jabs. Day before his birthday. His party is 3 days later and our London trip 4 days after that. Any chance he won't be badly affected by the jabs?

Sophiathesnowfairy · 15/11/2013 12:51

chasing you could always phone and change the appointment if you are worried. It won't matter. Xx

Sophiathesnowfairy · 15/11/2013 13:10

Too many flapjacks. [bloated emoticon]

YellowWellies · 15/11/2013 13:27

Chasing we were advised that side effects are from 6 to 21 days after so he should be fine Smile

Happy birthday to R and C for yesterday too!

YellowWellies · 15/11/2013 13:28

Oh no misread - yep the London trip might fall in the danger zone Sad

MsJupiterJones · 15/11/2013 13:41

I thought they had to be at least 12 months old (12-13), I would try and delay the jabs. L hasn't been too bad so far but sleep has been disturbed and we'll be keeping a close eye on him next week when he could get some measles/mumps symptoms.

BigPigLittlePig · 15/11/2013 13:45

For the past few days F has kept on crawling over to me and making funny little gestures. Turns out that is her signing for milk, or food Grin. I've never done signing with her but they do at nursery.

Also. DH gave her the wrong toast at lunch, the slice with clover on [oh fuck emoticon]. She had at least one good size mouthful. Argh. DH does not feel good about the whole affair.

And the amoxicillin sharts have arrived.

What a day?!

YellowWellies · 15/11/2013 13:54

BP that's the reason we only have dairy free spread in our house. It's too easy to do. Pure tastes ok.

applepieinthesky · 15/11/2013 14:20

That's so cute bp

ChasingDaisy · 15/11/2013 14:34

I think I might have to take my chances with the jabs. The week after he is staying with XP for two days as I am at a concert and I don't want him away from me if he is ill. Then the week after that is Christmas. There is no good time for it really so ok point in delaying the inevitable.

Elizadoesdolittle · 15/11/2013 14:44

Just had lunch with BIL etc. Told me all the goss re the show. Apparently Richard Osman is huge. BIL is over 6" but he only came up to his shoulder. And he and Alexander are v funny. Won't be on air till next year, prob round march. I'll say when I know nearer the time.

Happy birthday R & J xx

ChasingDaisy · 15/11/2013 14:48

I'm very excited Eliza, hope I get an audition Grin

Just phoned docs as O's immunisation letter doesn't actually mention MMR at all and refers to primary jabs for the other two, not boosters Hmm
