As I so frivolously finished the last thread, I thought I'd better start a new one. Go!

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Birdies · 08/11/2013 21:11

Haha bugsy I'm still bf to sleep too! although my milk supply has really dropped so I need to think about moving to bottles. Though how to get her to sleep then?!

Shopping bargain in case anyone's still looking for presents - just bought this:

www.amazon.co.uk/Playskool-Poppin-Park-Elefun-Popper/dp/B004OVDHO2/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1383944920&sr=8-2&keywords=Elefun

Much cheaper than anywhere else.

Pascha · 08/11/2013 21:25

Bunty did you know that supply can dip when you have a period and come right back up again when you finish? Your milk might only be temporarily low.

I still feed Dan ti sleep at bedtime.

My addition to the list if woes is the sore throat from constantly telling them ti stop fighting over cars...

Pascha · 08/11/2013 21:27

I meant Birdies not Bunty

Birdies · 08/11/2013 21:45

Oh no I didn't know that. I will wait a few days then and maybe will improve...

Lora1982 · 08/11/2013 22:58

It usually takes mine about two days to get back to normal birdies. Although I think if I stop taking motilium it will disappear altogether. Id like to aim for one so I'll carry on forking out for a couple more months.

Starting a bauble tradition so im looking to buy him one every year. I really waant a good fun one thats not going to smash etc cos this 1st ones got to live a very long life.

Angielka · 09/11/2013 05:13

Lora my SIL started that kind of tradition with DD1 - it would be lovely, except our tastes are a little different, and she has provided the 3 ugliest scariest tastelestest (it is a word) baubles I have ever seen so far Hmm. You know those kind of faux-old multicoloured sparkling ones in the shape of snowmen/teddy bears... I know you'll do it properly!

lollipoppi · 09/11/2013 07:19

Morning all! Hope all the poorly babas are feeling better soon

Ds1 is much better now, it's been a looonnnggg week Hmm

Angielka Grin on the baubles! Just stick them at the back of the tree unless she comes round!

Ds1 had that elefun and loved it, must dig that out for DD! I also managed to pick up the butterfly elefun from a charity shop for £2.50!

Going to pick my car up today, I'm hoping it will be the end of my car troubles!

Poly like others have said I would take her to the docs, I'm sure everything will be ok but good to put your mind at rest (also try my magic cure of Vicks on the soles of her feet!)

LetThereBeCupcakes · 09/11/2013 07:37

Lora what a lovely idea - I came across this the other day which might suit: www.frombritainwithlove.com/baby-boys-first-christmas-handmade-personlised-wooden-bauble.html

Birdies I really love the ball popping toy but DH says it's just asking for trouble with two Labradors in the house. He may have a point.

DS slept the whole time I was out last night - woke up twenty minutes after I arrived home and stayed awake until 2am. He only went to sleep then because I gave in and co-slept. Up again just after 6. Need Brew and Cake

Lora1982 · 09/11/2013 08:09

I think I prefer that wooden one! I was looking at this: item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/viewitem?sbk=1&nav=SEARCH&itemId=151159898136

Same here we cant have the elephant with the dog... god knows what we'll do with the ball pool dps mum wants to get

Lora1982 · 09/11/2013 08:10

I pressed the convert links button goddammit. Well its a normal bauble with a character made from fimo sat on top

Angielka · 09/11/2013 09:22

Ahhhhh, sitting with a cuppa and second doughnut while Molly sleeps and DH takes DD1 out. Hope everyone has healthy sleep-filled weekends Grin

Birdies · 09/11/2013 10:49

Good luck with car lolli!

I'm loving the bauble idea, think I might do that for my two.

Can anyone recommend a good train set? I'd like something where the trains go round on their own. Thanks :). Have a nice weekend everyone!

glorious · 09/11/2013 12:08

Mmm doughnut.

Sitting in cafe waiting for people for first local meet up. Think it's just me so far, no pom bears or mn scarves in evidence...

Angielka · 09/11/2013 17:31

How did the meetup go glorious?

OP posts:
Meringue33 · 09/11/2013 18:59

We've just got the Happyland one Birdies. It's on special offer at ELC.

Ooh a meetup, Glorious! How exciting!!

Lora1982 · 09/11/2013 20:02

Hope it wasnt a solitary meet up :-D im having one on monday with a group of laydees from my 'awesome leicester mums' group on facebook

glorious · 09/11/2013 20:40

It was small but perfectly formed Smile One other person made it and she was lovely. Phew! Might be one next week too for those who couldn't make this one / were ill. We'll have to have one if you're over around Christmas angielka Smile

Meringue33 · 09/11/2013 21:29

One day in the distant future when we have all recovered from baby madness and are capable of sorting such shit out we must have a meetup for this thread!

Pascha · 09/11/2013 21:37

I was thinking the same thing Meringue. God knows how or when though.

BuntyCollocks · 09/11/2013 22:54

That would be lovely! We should take over a soft play in the middle of us all.

Lora1982 · 10/11/2013 08:46

Dreaming off the day ive recovered from baby madness :-D

glorious · 10/11/2013 08:57

Yes let's! We'd end up somewhere random if we go for the middle, that'd be fun Smile

LetThereBeCupcakes · 10/11/2013 10:20

I don't think I shall ever recover from this madness, but I'm still up for meeting. Have we discussed where we are before? Wouldn't it be lovely if mumsnet had a "find a central point for all of these mners" tool?

DS fell asleep sitting in a shopping trolley. He won't sleep in a cot, but he'll sleep in a shopping trolley. Hmm

AppleCrumples · 10/11/2013 17:02

Yes i'd be up for that!

cupcakes :) at sleeping in trolley, babies are wierd aren't they.Hope things are improving for you.

Ivy has gone 3 nights without night feed Shock She is still up once at the same time but is settling quicker now. There is light at the end of the tunnel.

She has learnt to play ball with ds1, he throws to her she grabs it and sort of flings in whatver direction she is facing. She thinks its hilarious.

Hope everyone having a lovely weekend :)

LetThereBeCupcakes · 10/11/2013 19:03

Apple the ball flinging sounds adorable! Dog 1 keeps dropping a tennis ball in DS' lap and staring at him hopefully. DS picks up the ball and chews it. Dog 1 looks despondent and wanders off. Hoping DS gets the hang of fetch soon before Dog 1 loses all hope.

Went to visit my dad today for the last time before he moves - he's leaving the house I was born in and where I grew up, but when I asked if he'll miss it he said that the place held "nothing but bad memories" for him. Well, thanks for that Dad.

I'm starting back at work tomorrow and dreading it. First day at nursery for my little man and have no idea how he'll get on. And DH hasn't even asked how I'm feeling about it. Someone remind me why I married him again?!?

Birdies I think Brio do electric trains which are supposed to be good and very robust. Would that be the sort of thing you're after?
