As I so frivolously finished the last thread, I thought I'd better start a new one. Go!

lolli that sounds so scary. Something similar happened to us a while back but luckily it came out as soon as I picked her up and tipped her over.

lora that dancing is soooo cute! Love the sleep crawling too bugs

Everyone's ill Sad We are too, again. And still struggling with job stuff.

meringuesnowflakes33 · 19/12/2013 18:30

Oh no how scary Lolli I hope the rest of the night passed without incident?

LO had a tummy bug when we were on holiday and when I went to pick him up in the morning he'd been sick in the night and there were horrible chunks, I dread to think what could have happened. Luckily he usually sleeps face down.

Today at nursery was worse if anything. Really really hope it improves soon! It's so horrible to see him so upset. He'd refused his bottle and wouldn't even take it from me when I arrive, he was batting it away and was hysterical.

Apparently he'd had "happy moments" but had pretty much been beside himself the entire time. The "happy moments" were looking at the rabbit and guinea pig, which sounds like fun at least.

I have a bunch of stuff in the work diary now for January so can't really delay going back Confused.

Lora I love the video! What a great dancer. Who is the choir???!

TheHollyandtheIvyCrumples · 19/12/2013 19:43

lolli thats scary! Glad dp knew what to do.

lora that video is so cute.

Ivy has gone down with another virus! Seened fine yesterday apart from nasty nqppy rash which i thought was teething related. Theb she was up from midnight on crying and so hot! Her cheeks were on fire poor thing. Today we're both shattered and she has rivers of snot and is miserable..again!

Last day of school tomorrow so trying to get all shopping finished. Ds2 overly excited for his birthday..we get daily reminders od how many sleeps!

newbie6 · 19/12/2013 20:50

Not sure if this will help others with snot monsters but I bought a nasal thing from boots today which allows you to suck the mucus out of their nose, I know it sounds horrid but I was actually pretty impressed with it! My LO is kind of okay with me doing it but may help if you want to try it out?

X

mrsbugsywugsy · 19/12/2013 21:21

Oh yes newbie we have one of them, I love it. It's so satisfying sucking their little bogies out!

newbie6 · 19/12/2013 21:24

Ha ha, totally agree bugsy :) a mothers love and all that! X

Lora1982 · 19/12/2013 21:32

Its the east midlands tiny talk teachers :-D had a busy day today we had to get all the way to grantham for my brothers 40th... but it meant we had to walk through b&m so I got mum to pick up their last tortoise projector light thing its so cute and a bargain but made the nasty trip worth while.

Has anyones babies developed weird fears of things? Dexter clings to me for dear life when faced with a robin toy decoration thing and now my brothers lampshade :-D

meringuesnowflakes33 · 19/12/2013 21:47

Brilliant :)

My best friend has just given birth! A little girl, 5lb5, home water birth as planned! So emotional!!!!

TheHollyandtheIvyCrumples · 19/12/2013 21:51

Yes lora she used to not be bothered by the hoover but now cries when i turn it on!

That nose sucker thing sounds good but i can't see Ivy letting me anywhere near her with it! As it is she starts batting me away as soon as i get the babywipes to clean her up from meals!

Think we have solved our issues with where to put Ivy at night. Dss are moving into boxroom as they have bunkbeds and won't take up so much room so cot and toddler bed can go in bigger room. Have bribed a reluctant dd1 with a nice new cabin bed in new year! So dp will spend boxing day shifting beds! hes happy to do this as he thinks this will mean we dtd more

TheHollyandtheIvyCrumples · 19/12/2013 21:53

Ahh meringue congrats to your friend :)

Can't believe that was us a year ago!

BuntyandherMassiveGlitteryCoil · 19/12/2013 21:56

Poor, ill babies :( get well soon!

I have some amazing news - my friend whose little boy was stillborn in September is pregnant! I'm the first person they've told, before their parents even. Totally over the moon for them, and so honoured!

Lostbaubles · 19/12/2013 22:48

Aww lovely news Bunty, best wishes to them.

Congrats to your friend Meringue. 5.5, must be weeny!

Lora, fabulous vid, that boy has rhythm! Grin

Lolli- gosh very scary, well done DP.

Went to the farm today with DD1 school friends, they have a fab grotto. Santa gives a key for the toy shop, which kids then get to go in a choose a gift.

Bad news is I have got to do it all again twice tomorrow as one of mums couldn't come today and I had already arranged to meet another friend there tomorrow before today was organised. Confused

Get well wishes to all poorly bubs

Still got a ton of wrapping to do I think I have a purchasing problem

lollipoppi · 20/12/2013 08:33

Meringue and Bunty that's fab news Grin best Christmas presents ever!

Apple have fun at the farm ... Again

Dd is getting better now the antibiotics have kicked in, she had a good nights sleep last night and not coughing half as much.

Ds1 is at nursery and I'm dropping dd off at mums, then going to work for a few hours and then finally hitting the shops to get Xmas shopping!!!

lollipoppi · 20/12/2013 08:34

Doh ... lost have fun at the farm not apples, unless your planning on a farm visit too apples in which case have fun Grin

PaschasDanglyReindeerBaubles · 20/12/2013 08:43

Thats a great vid, Lora Daniel enjoyed it very much, we had to replay it several times and he bounces up and down in time to the music now too!

Daniel now says moo when he sees a cow in a book. Must see if its real life too. Have fun (again) at the farm, Lost. We are saving that trip for after christmas when hopefully its a bit quieter. Don't fancy Santa for mine as DS1 doesn't really get him yet. Need to make the most of my year pass before it runs out at the end of December.

Congrats on new babies here and on the way.

Hope everyone feels better soon.

TheHollyandtheIvyCrumples · 20/12/2013 12:39

Haha no farms here! Toys r us, asda now wrapping pressies and eating happy meal as i failed to ear breakfast and was close to dropping

PaschasDanglyReindeerBaubles · 20/12/2013 15:52

RIGHT well Daniel has just had the tree over while trying to eat the pine cone decorations Xmas Angry. Off to pick up the pieces now...

mrsbugsywugsy · 20/12/2013 20:03

meringue and bunty congrats to your friends. meringue dd was 5.5, very tiny indeed, too small for newborn baby clothes. bunty I am chuffed for your friend After her loss.

glorious · 21/12/2013 05:54

oh no pascha , hope nothing is broken.

Crap night here and currently ignoring her for biting, ouch Sad

PaschasDanglyReindeerBaubles · 21/12/2013 09:05

Nothing broken, no. All baubles present and intact. Xmas Sad for your rubbish night. Hope you've had a vatload of coffee or whatever to get you going.

DS1 and DH have gone off to rugby. I'm in pyjamas feeding porridge and banana to Daniel - he's starting to take an interest in digging the spoon in and having a disgustingly messy go himself. Needless to say, he's only getting limited access to his bowl as it will get flung otherwise but if I take the bowl away I'm getting big histrionic tears followed by a gigantic smile when I put it back. Its pretty funny.

Is anyone else noticing a handedness preference yet? He's naturally starting to use his left every time over the last couple of weeks. I don't remember DS1 making much of a choice before about 2-3 years old though.

Beautiful weather here this morning. High wind, rain, still a bit dark. Bleurgh...

bugsyclaus · 21/12/2013 12:58

testing out my xmas name change.

dp has taken dd to the shops to give me time to clean the fridge. Aren't I a lucky woman Wink?

weather is dreadful here too.

This time last year I was in labour!

salt1 · 21/12/2013 14:23

meringue i feel your pain re nursery. it was hell settling floss in but slowly it has got betterx

Turkeybirdiewithcranberrysauce · 21/12/2013 17:37

Loved the video dexter

Hope everyone's having a nice weekend. Great news about the new babies and babies feeling better. Sorry re crap night glorious.

pascha I never noticed before but X eats using her left hand. I did think it was a bit early but a quick google suggests not.

LetThereBeCupcakes · 21/12/2013 18:38

DS favours his left, too.

I've spent all day clearing out the spare room ready for MIL who will be arriving any moment to spend Christmas. She is very good at keeping DH in check so I should be in for a relaxing couple of weeks! Unfortunately my 'tidying seems to have resulted in the rest of the house looking like a bomb's hit it. Oh well, she has somewhere to sleep tonight and she can entertain DS tomorrow whilst I tidy up a bit.

DS has started clapping whenever we sing 'the wheels on the bus'. No matter what he's doing, if I sing, he claps. He must have learned it at nursery.

Is anybody else completely NOT ready for Christmas? I may have to start panicking soon...

PaschasDanglyReindeerBaubles · 21/12/2013 19:46

Xmas Envy re clapping. Dan shows no sign at all of wanting to, nor waving really, lots of pointing though.

That sounds like my kind of cleaning Cupcakes.

DH has gone out for pizza. The fire is roaring nicely, the boys are (supposedly) asleep. I'm off for a quick bath as I have about half an hour to kill.
