No caffeine here, I went off it while pregnant and thought I may as well take the opportunity to kick the habit. I feel much better for it. Decaf and imagination works quite well though Grin

We have clapping and dancing but no waving or pointing. And her first word was 'bag' followed by her own version of 'spider' (we were playing 'what's in the bag'!). But that was a week ago and she's back to just babbling again :( I think I'm a bit impatient though.

I'm also panicking about Christmas, still not got some presents for family and still need to do the food shop. Monday Is the day for all of the above but were so busy at our shop with it being Christmas I may be doing a late night dash instead!

We have clapping and dancing but no pointing.
She smacks her lips together when I say kisses which is just too cute Smile

She has been lots better today I think she is defo over the worse of the chest infection, so had a lovely day doing lots of Xmas crafts with ds1 whilst Darcie threw baubles round the room

That's lowly that your MIL is staying, how long is she there for?

Ivy was trying to help with wrapping yesterday and can now say no! :) She kept grabbing things and then going nonono as if she knew she was up to no good Grin

Pascha I learnt from mum the only way to have christmas stuff up is to have them out of touching distance. My trees in the corner with a coffee table blocking access. I avoid mardy screams of wanting to touch it by making it so just the tiniest tips of fingers can touch ONE bauble. Doesnt stop him pointing at EVERY other single decoration till I jangle/turn it on/make funny noises/pull it.

Also does anyones little angels have a photo face yet? Everytime we pull a camera or a phone out to point it at him he scruches his nose closes his eyes and pouts... he'll regret that when he's 18.

Thanks Salt and everyone. Feeling a bit better now have talked it through with a good friend, who pointed out that it is a lovely safe fun environment with professionally trained people... He will grow to love it I'm sure. Hopefully I will get over the guilty mother feelings soon, I am a martyr for it!

All packed for Christmas and en route to see the parents! Hopefully we haven't forgotten anything... Xmas Grin

I think LO is right handed, he is better at eating with his right. For ages we thought he was left handed as we automatically handed him stuff with our right... So his closest was his left!

Dan definitely has a photo-face. I only have to say cheese and hold my hands pretending and he's grinning at me all over the shop.

Boo about your period MrsBug (like the name, btw). Mine arrived at 9 months this time, was 14 months last time so I was disappointed, to say the least. They're much heavier this time as well.

Toilet training again today. Didn't want to do it but we really need to start cracking it soon and the longer I give it over these holidays the more chance I we have of success. I really really hope DS1 gets it this time.

I dropped off again...

How is everyone? Hope all the poorly babies are better. Is everyone ready for Christmas? We're heading up to DP's parents tomorrow til Boxing Day. Hope this foul weather eases off a bit as don't fancy driving in a gale.

Happy birthday mini-Bugsy! Cake for you (and Wine for mummy). Wow, 1 already... it's crazy. Rubbish about your period though. Lots of chilling and chocolate for you. Still no sign of period here.

Whose birthday is it next?

We had our first NCT baby's 1st b'day party on Saturday too glorious. It was v sweet!

DD still not crawling but getting about a bit better on her bum. She's clapping, pointing and waving and seems to understand quite a lot of things - says 'wakwak' when she sees a duck which is very sweet.

Hope toilet training goes well Pascha.

I have two friends in labour - one 3 weeks early, one a week late. Christmas babes!

Ffs. Need a pause button. This has been a quick year.

Ds has been in his room 2 hours. Refusing to nap. He can bloody stay there, wee bugger. He's happy enough, just no sleep forthcoming.

Wish he had. Had 3 horrendous nights with dd on the trot, last night particularly bad and harking back to the good old days of up all night. I eventually put her in her pram, rocked her, and got 3 hours of broken sleep on the couch as had to keep rocking her.

Am a broken woman today. Want to nap

We've had some shocking nights recently bunty, it tends to be when he refuses a nap so the rest of the day/night is a nightmare.

X's birthday is on Thursday. Am a little bit excited! I always find the day after Boxing Day a bit boring but now the celebrations can continue! I thought there was maybe a birthday tomorrow as well but not sure now?

Thanks all. Sil and her kids were supposed to come down for the day but had to cancel due to the weather Xmas Sad. Instead we had a birthday tea with a birthday banana cake, now I am feeding dd to sleep then then I will have a glass of birthday Wine.

Dd got lots of presents and we didn't actually manage to open them all, guess we will open the rest of them tomorrow then start on the Xmas presents on weds.

No rest for me, I'm cooking Xmas dinner for 8 this year Xmas Grin
