As I so frivolously finished the last thread, I thought I'd better start a new one. Go!

And bunty how are you doing as well, any improvement in the sleep? I was thinking about what your sleep lady said and I think one thing was right about not letting them nap past a certain time. I think its 4 hours before you're hoping they will go to sleep.

Angielka · 03/12/2013 10:03

Been quiet because Molly got a throat infection and 40 degree fever after a week of bronchitis... Xmas Sad

bunty sorry about rubbish sleep woman. Any improvements?

Big hugs to cupcakes look after yourself. Is it some comfort to have a pnd label to point to and deal with bit by bit?

Was it creepy who asked about bathwater? DD1 still drinks it and she's 3 Xmas Shock

I dreamed about meeting up with you all last night in between dosing M up against her temperature... creepy we had a good chat Xmas Blush

Hey all,

We've had a miraculous improvement in sleep, long may it continue. It's coincided with me putting her out in her buggy to nap, come rain or shine.

She sleeps a good three hours in the buggy, might have a short nap earlier or later dependant on when the long one is, but last night she did 7:30 - 4, bottle, back down at 4:30 with 5 mins of whinging, 6:30 up for a breastfeed and cuddled in and slept until 8:15. It's been this since last Wednesday. Some nights she hadn't even woken for a feed.

birdies you're right - teeny seems to need bed 3 hours after wakening from last nap (or from getting up in morning).

I really hope this is the turning point for us.

(I even had to wake her up on Sunday when it hit 9:30 - wtf!)

BuntyCollocks · 03/12/2013 14:10

angie poor dd :( I hope she is better soon.

glorious · 03/12/2013 19:07

wow bunty that's so brilliant! Was it something you changed or did she just decide? Perhaps she was worried you'd listen to the sleep lady Wink

angielka poor M, hope she's on the mend. And how's I apples ?

birdies E isn't all that attached to her cot lovey but I'm trying as she sleeps better with company and I would like her in her own room eventually!

AppleCrumples · 03/12/2013 19:31

bunty thats fantastic! You must feel so much better :)

Ivy is off her food..hurrah for tits indeed as she is mostly just on milk. Poor thing miserable and doesn't know what to do with herself. Her 1 nap lasted 20 mins only to have her wake up coughing then projectiled her breakfast sorry tmi so we both had a bath! But shes just so tired now. Hoping she will be better tomorrow. But then i thought the fact she slept through last night was a good sign...

Hope M doing better angie isn't it mad what you dream about when up and down at night?!

Lostbobbles · 03/12/2013 22:51

Angie/ Apples wish both M and I speedy recovery poor little lambsHmm

Bunty fab news on sleep, long may it continue

Birdies, Lo is not fussed on any comforter just her dummy! Confused

Still night waking here, I really need to stop feeding her back to sleep but just can't be arsed with prolonging the agony.

Gymboree day today, her little face lights up as soon as we walk inGrin

Also bought first shoes, just cruiser ones but with harder sole as she keeps wanting to be put down to finger walk and the little leather ones she has are not suitable for outdoors. She was a nightmare though and kept curling her foot.

I also purchased a fab new vacuum sad but mega excited it's the gtech air ram and what's more amazing is DH wanted a go and did the whole upstairs! Grin

glorious · 04/12/2013 16:09

Feeling a bit glum this afternoon so have come out for a hot chocolate. E loves people watching and there are lots of tiny babies here which she is finding fascinating.

I'm waiting to hear about a job I applied for over a week ago. It's internal where I work now and a part time maternity cover on temporary promotion. I mean how many applications are there going to have been?! At least an acknowledgement would be nice. It's stressing me out having no idea what I'll be doing (not keen on going back to previous role, on a waiting list for permanent promotion). Grr, public sector pace.

salt1 · 04/12/2013 16:49

floss is in the poorly babyy club too. will post more later need to do another sick covered wash x

meringue33 · 04/12/2013 18:44

Hugs to all the poorly babies

Hope you're good today Cupcakes and have had some winter sun :)

Ace news on the sleep front Bunty! We had a Nordic nap today too, would be great if that translates to sleep tonight!

We seem to be going through a phase where only singing to sleep works. We have so many new verses on Wheels on the Bus it's untrue Grin.

Every animal you can think of is on that bus. Plus people from all over the country.

mrsbugsywugsy · 05/12/2013 00:07

Evening all

I'm off on my hols tomorrow. Really looking forward to some winter sunshine. Not looking forward to the flight, I am nervous of flying anyway and it's dd's first flight.

Can't remember who asked but dd doesn't have a comforter; well my boob is her comforter. When her nose was too blocked to feed she would only go to sleep holding my boob Xmas Hmm

BuntyCollocks · 05/12/2013 04:06

Happy holidays, mrsb, and thanks to everyone for the sleep congrats!

Add C to the list of poorly babies. No idea what's actually wrong, but she has a high temp, and is just clingy and whingey. May be docs tomo I think.

BuntyCollocks · 05/12/2013 04:07

Oh, and comforter - she has a cuski, and ds has a lamb comforter. To attach them to them, I put it in their hands whilst they were feeding from about 4 months. Both firmly attached now.

Pascha · 05/12/2013 10:59

Hello everyone. Have a good holiday MrsBug Xmas Envy. Teething again last night, D woke 4 times and then DS1 woke for the day at 4.57am HmmHmmHmm was unimpressed with that to say the least.

He doesn't really have a particular comforter, there's a monkey in his cot but its not particularly special. He makes a beeline for my keys, or the tv remote or phone at the moment. Also the cats (who narrow their eyes at him and scarper quick before he yanks their tails). We're getting ak! for cat and gogog! for dog in the last couple of weeks. Not really much else though, still mostly on the squealing stage.

More poorly babes I see. Get well soon, everyone.

Had a squizz at the last of the A/N threads during the night and saw that our first threadbaby was 1 on 27th November (Tinyeyes123 had a baby girl at 33 weeks). That means the next ones are coming up in only a couple of weeks. Can't believe we're all nearly one!

Angielka · 05/12/2013 12:21

Ahhh, Molly woke this morning without a temperature for the first time this week. She's stopped clinging to me desperately and has been playing happily by herself this morning, so fingers crossed we get a break from the germs now. Thanks for the well wishes!

Glorious hope you enjoyed your hot choc - any news on the work front? It's difficult to deal with uncertainty like that isn't it. I'm due back on 6th Jan to a job that has been affected by death and pregnancy so it will all be a bit different... Xmas Shock

Hope the sleep improvements continue Bunty hurrah!

Birdies M has 3 comforters which I she rotates. I did nothing to encourage it, but suddenly something clicked and she had to have one in her cot when she slept. She also trails one about between playing with toys so we tend to have a few scattered about. Her sister is also a fan. We have them coming out of our ears...

Happy holidays mrsb! The flight will be fine - and what a reward afterwards! I was invited to Mexico with some friends ages ago but we decided we couldn't afford it. They are all there this week showing off posting sunny pictures on fb Xmas Envy.

Due to go across the border to a German christmas market at the weekend. Getting into the spirit - can't wait!

I'm sure we would in real life too angie! Pleased Molly is better, hope the other babies follow!

Have a lovely holiday mrsb and I hope you hear soon glorious. I've no idea when I'm going back to work, I should probably go in and see them sometime. They're so laid back it's unreal!

Wahoo on the sleep bunty, so pleased for you! That sleep woman sounds shocking. Hope you're doing ok too cupcakes.

Nancy has a jellycat lamb that she sleeps with. We didn't encourage it, just noticed that she always looked for him to go to sleep. She's sticks one of his arms up her nose and uses the other to stroke her cheek with me, makes me melt everytime.

Blowing a gale here today. Nancy's asleep so I'm gonna have a whole jar of some Nutella on toast.

tinyeyes123 · 05/12/2013 14:46

My baby is indeed one already, thanks for remembering us Pascha! I don't post here but still like to catch up on all your news now and again. Hard to believe it's a year since we endured the hardest three weeks of our life when she was in the special care unit but looking at her now you'd never believe she was premature!

Pascha · 05/12/2013 14:55

Awww. Flowers and, of course Cake for you. I hope she got some Cake? Would love to see a picture if you have one?

CreepyCrawly · 05/12/2013 15:21

How lovely to hear from you tinyeyes, and great to hear that Megan is doing so well. We were due date buddies :)

namechangenumerouno · 05/12/2013 19:36

Aw congrats to little TinyEyes!

How is everyone surviving the storm? Our gardens been smashed to bits :O

meringue33 · 05/12/2013 20:00

Whoops name change fail! Never done it before! Now I can't post my true confession on the true confessions thread Grin

CreepyCrawly · 05/12/2013 20:44

Haha meringue, I was wondering who it was. No storm damage her luckily.

Nancy's been upset tonight, nothing would settle her until I found this and now she's fast asleep. And I'm sat here sobbing thinking about how they really are only small for such a short amount of time.

CreepyCrawly · 05/12/2013 20:45

Link fail

salt1 · 05/12/2013 22:51

great news on the sleep bunty. it is all so much harder when tired x

glorious · 06/12/2013 09:39

No, nothing yet angielka . I'll get in touch today I think as I'm off to Dorset next week and the phone reception is rubbish in the village. An old boss has replied to a message I sent though and may have something as a backup so that's good. I wish I was as relaxed as your work creepy !

E and I both enjoyed the song, thanks Smile She looks like a little toddler now rather than a big baby, she's really slimming out and her hair is growing crazily quickly. Plus in the last fortnight we've got three teeth (she didn't have any before)!

Lovely to hear from you tinyeyes and a belated happy birthday to M Cake
