Morning.

Super fast question

If I make p meatballs with pork and beef - what do I use instead of egg as a binding agent?

Also, anyone got some ideas for a squash and sweet potato curry for the wee ones?

MissMummy1 · 22/09/2013 08:12

I dont know whether to be alarmed that DP managed to sneak in at 1am without waking me,M or A up. Or just pleased he didnt wake any of us up? Either way, M slept from 8 till 7.40am. I am sooo pleased we seem to have this sussed (and wish I could get her to give certain quiche babeez a pep talk!)

Take care pennie

fruitpastilles · 22/09/2013 08:59

Woohoo for a sleeping M mm now you just need to make sure dp sticks to the routine if he takes over nights once he's finished his night shifts.
S has been sleeping in her travel cot in our room the past few nights while her room is being decorated, I can't wait it get her back in her own room and sort her sleep out, it went to shit just before she came in our room, but we do finally have teefs! One I can feel has cut but I can't see it, and a second has very nearly cut, so that along with regression seems to explain it. She's in the habit of waking and me bringing her in our bed now though which I never did before so need to get her out of the habit.

Live birth thread would be brill gt I can't believe how quick it seems to have come round!

chasing xp is an utter cunt, I bet you loved closing the door behind him, knowing you haven't got to see him for a whole week.

yw sounds like your having a lovely time. Dp is off this week, we were going to get away but his back has scuppered that Hmm

fruitpastilles · 22/09/2013 09:03

pass I've just read that cooked rice makes a good substitute! or mashed potatoes (not sure if that would go with meatballs) or tomato paste?

fruitpastilles · 22/09/2013 09:05

Or breadcrumbs

StuntNun · 22/09/2013 09:37

I had no waters when I went into labour. I didn't have a gush or a trickle so I have no idea where, or when, they went!

OP posts:
Kirrin · 22/09/2013 10:03

I don't know what happened to my waters either!

GingerBeerAndTinnedPeaches · 22/09/2013 11:02

My waters were broken manually. I remember when she came at me with the water popper implement being very glad for the epidural :o They came out with a gush but she had put something round the end of my bed to mop it up. I had thought the mucous plug was the waters. I had no preparation for the birth as up until a week or so before DD1 was breech, so I was supposed to have an ELCS but it was cancelled at the last minute. I often wonder how different everything would have been if I had insisted on going ahead with the ELCS.

wellieboots · 22/09/2013 11:09

GT my waters broke before contractions started. I had to go in to be checked for a couple of hours, then came home. Contractions started about 3 hours after I got home, and by late afternoon were about 6 mins apart and lasting about 30 secs. From there they got closer and longer until the end. But everyone's different and you will manage it in your own way. We will all be rooting for you. So exciting!Grin

izzybizzybuzzybees · 22/09/2013 12:13

mm I'm not sure DH doing bedtime for the next wee while will help anything as if anything j was worse the night he tried the routine and the CC. Plus there's the fact that my surgery is upcoming and I simply cannot have him doing bedtime for a good while now when he will need to do so much for me after the surgery. I'm literally not allowed to lift j for 12weeks.

Sleep is still a nightmare, he was still awake at midnight last night! I haven't had a chance to read the no cry sleep solution yet but will do soon hopefully.

Special thanks to bplp for taking the time to PM a proposed routine.

BigPigLittlePig · 22/09/2013 15:38

Heaven is - both girls asleep on the sofa, tea in the oven and complete silence Grin

ChasingDaisy · 22/09/2013 15:58

Sounds lovely pig. I have a sleeping boy and for once I am allowing myself to relax on the sofa. Today is another low day, but the lows aren't as low as a few weeks ago, so that's progress. I think I am also PMT-ing which doesn't help.

fruitpastilles · 22/09/2013 16:01

I wish my tea was in the oven,
I keep telling dp to put the meat in and he keeps telling me to do it Hmm looks like there won't be any tea in the fruit house tonight we're both as stubborn as each other.

GingerBeerAndTinnedPeaches · 22/09/2013 16:46

Baked a batch of biscuits and the neighbours' kids turned up to play with the dog and ate them all :( Also ended up agreeing to let them come on dog walks with me when they are around during the week and at weekends. I'm not good with other people's kids. They were here four hours. I'm knackered and neither of the girls have napped and are cranky little buggers right now. Tonight will be pasta carbonara. Easiest dish and comforting when knackered.

GTbaby · 22/09/2013 18:10

Scared mum n sis as they thought I must be in labour. Unable to contact me for two hours stressed them out. I was only napping!

Bryzoan · 22/09/2013 18:15

Grumpy kids here too. Loads of dodgy nappies this week and dd spent yesterday throwing up. G is streaming with snot and redefining clingy. Dh is busy at work so has been out all weekend. And I have a dentist appt tomorrow for a filling.

Well done on your climb madame - very impressed :-) am sure you will ace it next time when your toe is healed.

Bryzoan · 22/09/2013 18:16

That is quite funny gt!

PurplePidjin · 22/09/2013 19:02

Peaches you're mad!

Went shopping with a mate today and got R's birthday presents - a foam jigsaw playmat with a town on, and a musical activity table. He's having them now to replace the outgrown dj booth and because there'll be an over load of stuff all at once for his actual birthday. He needs a new "big" toy now, that's safe to cruise around!

GingerBeerAndTinnedPeaches · 22/09/2013 19:29

I'm just aware that the neighbours have found me unusually shouty a little unhinged strange this year so am trying to be nice to them all. And since the grown ups hardly say hello to me anymore I'm making an effort with the kids.

GTbaby · 22/09/2013 19:54

Good strategy peaches. Sry just remembered you don't like ginger.

Just got cramps sensation. Thought Shock then remember its constipation.

Can you tell I'm bored?

MissMummy1 · 22/09/2013 20:11

Chinese ordered. Necessary after a disaster bed time and the realisation that my slow cooked venison stew has not been slow cooking Angry fucking p switched my slow cooker off by mistake

He is also not going to work till 1am as his boat is fucked. As a result, bedtime ended in tears and wails of 'dadadada' over the monitor Angry Angry Angry

Other than that it has been a nice sunday Smile

peaches myneighbours have witnessed me having several meltdowns Blush

TheDetective · 22/09/2013 20:25

Bottle at bedtime skipped.

O doesn't want milk. He wants to suck. But not a dummy. Either a bottle (with or without milk!) or a muslin cloth.

He fell asleep in 2 seconds of muslin sucking as I was still buttoning up the growbag Confused.

Looks like we are off to the GP for a px of calcium drops tomorrow. Well, DP is. I'm at work. :(

MadameGazelleIsMyMum · 22/09/2013 20:28

Just home to tidy house, nursery bags packed, washing done, kids asleep, and an Indian food order en route. DH has been fab while I was away. Bless him. He might earn a shag v like pidj's vvvDP.

Sorry to hear of snotty, teething non-sleeping babies.

GT I am looking forward to the live birth updates!

BigPigLittlePig · 22/09/2013 20:43

Det I am blaming O and his bottle-dodging tendencies for influencing F. She has gone from 3x 8oz bottles a day, to nothing in the morning. Maybe 5oz after lunch. And 6oz at bedtime. WTF? 3 days ago she was having 3 full bottles. I mean I know this is supposed to happen but was expecting it to be a little more gradual. Still, she is eating like a total pig so it's all good. It felt very strange only making one bottle to send to nursery tomorrow. I shall also be ringing the GP for some calcium drops tomorrow!

Peaches I didn't know you didn't like being called ginger. I apologise for the multiple times I have called you ginge Blush

Chasing lovely to hear that the down days aren't so down as they once were.

Back to work tomorrow, with painkillers and mouthwash. Not sure what it will be like, shall attempt to avoid conversation Hmm

YellowWellies · 22/09/2013 20:48

Home with pup. She's safely in her den. Breeders reckon being the last to collect a pup is smart as she's had four nights sleeping on her own so shouldn't cry. Hmmmm Hmm we'll see. She's already peed on the carpet! She's very lovely. Smile
