Yay for YellowPup!

Oscar is a trooper. He keeps sneezing himself awake, having a little cry and self settling back to sleep. He ended up sleeping through until 6 last night.

Quick cooking question: Me and O share meals and we both like stir fry. But I've been serving it without a sauce as everything I would usually have would be too salty. Any suggestions for an Oscar friendly stir fry sauce I can make?

FatimaLovesBread · 22/09/2013 20:58

Hi all

Another fred (!!) I still need to catch up.

I'm still here though, thank you pennielane for asking after me Smile

Struggling a bit today and sometimes when I post I feel a bit ignored, but I know that's just me being stupid and the thread being fast moving. I'm ok though, will snap out of it tomorrow i'm sure.

Going to try catch up and post properly later, probably when I'm feeling less glum Grin

Hope everyone else is ok?

GTbaby · 22/09/2013 21:00

Madam I'm sure there will be lots of false starts Hmm

Chasing what do you use currently. Can't you stir fry the veg. Take his out, then add your sauce? Gives his food a chance to cool down?
I'm not a stir fry expert lol. I used to use just soya sauce or pre made sauce. But haven't made one in ages.

Kirrin · 22/09/2013 21:02

Welcome to your new home YWdog :)

I am very glad of late that we have no neighbours within earshot - shouty doesn't cover it some days Blush

Indian here tonight too - but no slow cooker mishaps to blame it on!

Glad things seem better chasing

Hope it's ok at work tomorrow bplp

GTbaby · 22/09/2013 21:03

Hello Fatima. I was also not posting because it got so fast.
It's now very quite. Good and bad points there.

Come out lurkers! Just say hi so we know your still there! No need to name check, comment or justify. Just say hello. Been a while since I have done the lurkers shout out so give me results ladies Grin

MissMummy1 · 22/09/2013 21:05

Yaaaay for Betsy !!! (hate to break it to you, we collected A last and he cried howled for 2 nights - duvet over crate!)

Hi fatima Smile xx

Kirrin · 22/09/2013 21:07

Cross post fatima I know what you mean about feeling ignored but this thread does move so fast and I think with lots of us back at work etc etc a lot of us are on skim read and quick post schedules. It's nice to see you back, hope you feel better soon Thanks Is there anything in particular wrong?

Passmethecrisps · 22/09/2013 21:08

Hia fatima! I think we have all felt like that. It can be really hard when having a baby makes you feel a bit invisible anyway. Or is that just me? Hope you feel better very soon.

Enjoy your takeaways mm and madam.

P has been totally off solids for two days. Cries when she has it in her mouth. I presume her mouth is sore. Poor wee soul as she is bright as a button every other time.

chasing what about a satay sauce? Made with peanut butter. A wee drop should be fine.

Passmethecrisps · 22/09/2013 21:09

Oh and quiche hug for Betsy!!! Omg! Puppy!

BigPigLittlePig · 22/09/2013 21:13

GT when you've had the baby, can we look forward to your rambling dead-of-night comedy posts again?? I used to love those!

How exciting YW - hope tonight goes well for you all, and no more carpet incidents.

Chasing I would just give O dry stir fry. That sounds awful doesn't it. Or water down a bit at the end for him so he gets a little taste without the salt?

Hello fatima Hope you're glumness dissipates soon Smile

My db, who is beyond lovely and chronically single has vair excitingly possibly met someone....well they've never met in the flesh but met online and spent 2 hours on the phone today. Have never heard him sound so excited about a girl before so am desperately hoping it turns out well for him. Lots of quichey crossed fingers should help Grin

BigPigLittlePig · 22/09/2013 21:14

Oh yes YW - am waiting for a fb photo please don't think I've missed one already have I??

ChasingDaisy · 22/09/2013 21:15

pass XP is allergic to peanuts so that is a no go here. Good idea GT, not quite sure why I didn't think of that Blush

Anyone seen the SMA advert? That is totally me. I forget sometimes that all other mums must feel as frazzled as me during the day. Must make some more mum friends.

fatima I think we can all feel like that from time to time. It was so much easier to tell to everyone when I was sofa pinned all day! But even if people don't reply, I can say for certain that what you write will be read. If that makes sense.

MadameGazelleIsMyMum · 22/09/2013 21:16

Hey kirrin and fatima GrinGrin

YellowWellies · 22/09/2013 21:16

Well she's down in her den and if she's crying I can't hear. I can do CIO for puppies not babies Grin . There is now two bitches in our house init Grin . I is top bitch init.

Fatima, Kirrin we luffs you lots but I personally have the memory of a sieve and when posting on the tablet can't scroll back to remind myself who said what, midpost. So if I've ever made you feel ignored I'm very sorry Blush .

FatimaLovesBread · 22/09/2013 21:27

Ahh thank you everyone for the 'hellos' Smile That's made me feel a lot better already. I know it's not me and the thread moves fast, and I know a lot of people have things going on.
What passme said struck a chord, I think I'm feeling a bit invisible. Don't really know how to articulate my glumness, just feel a bit stuck in a rut and bored with some of the mundaneness. I think it's just a low day though, tomorrow is a new day Smile

M on the other hand is fab, although a bit of a handful. Her toy of choice today was a plastic sieve, she's been sticking her face in to it! Mad child.
She's learnt lots of new tricks this weekend, shakes her head when you say no, lifts blankets over her face to play peekaboo, does 'so big', says 'ta' when you give/she gives you things.... Can't believe how much she's growing up.

On another note, I have a voucher for 20% off M&S online that can be used four times if anyone wants a code? Has to be used tomorrow and only on clothes, beauty, household things

MadameGazelleIsMyMum · 22/09/2013 21:29

fatima S loves all kitchen utensils too. The sieve is a hit but nothing compares to the fish slice. He luffs it. Tears when it's time to let go. Lunatic.

GTbaby · 22/09/2013 21:33

BP not sure ill return to middle if the night ramblings. Firstly cos i gave up on my 2post limit crusade. It's to quiet for that now.
Can you believe I only learnt diff between quite and quiet a few months ago? please hope I used it correctly above lol
Secondly think my insomnia is caused by my miss timed day time naps. And I'm not getting as many naps now. And when I do I still manage to sleep at night. I'm fully aware or have just realised some of my recent posts contradict this.

Also FH is stepping up a lot ATM. So can't post about his twatishness.

Could complain about my piles but that's a bit Blush

All I have left is moaning about being sick of being pregnant. Never been this preg before. Imagin another three weeks of waiting for my live thread.

Passmethecrisps · 22/09/2013 21:41

fatima I found it hard to explain but eventually I went for 'furled and invisible'. You know you are massively important but the person you were has become a bit smudged almost. That's how I felt. I am not sure if you know but I felt like this for a while (longer than I let on or admitted) then essentially had a bit of an episode at work. I am now on the combined pill which has worked wonders. I feel better than I knew I was feeling bad if that makes sense. Theoretically I am not supposed to have the combined pill but my GP felt that the impact on my life was greater than the apparent risk. Worth considering if you can.

GingerBeerAndTinnedPeaches · 22/09/2013 21:44

Fatima sorry you have felt ignored :( I think we are all posting less.

Where is kyz she has been quiet the last couple of days unless i've skimmed too quickly.

I'll post on FB tomorrow a work update...

House full of daddy long legs or whatever we're Supposed to call those flying bastards that still wave at you long after you kill the buggers. And you swat at them and they fly right at you. They freak me out as much as spiders, and that's despite the fact I have a spider bite on my foot at the moment.

Night quiche, no idea re stir fries chasing I have never made one as woks scare me. They get so hot and spitty. I don't have a chip pan either. I hate spitty hot oil.

GingerBeerAndTinnedPeaches · 22/09/2013 21:47

pass I get the feeling invisible thing too in real life. I am no longer PR but PR DD1 and LO's mum. Even nursery when they phone me during the day say Hello, is that LO's mum? Just calling to say...

GTbaby · 22/09/2013 21:48

Watch out. I'm eating spicy noodles that FH made.

All that's going to happen is heart burn, isn't it?!?

BigPigLittlePig · 22/09/2013 21:50

Not if you wash it down with raspberry tea GT Grin

^
Scientific, that.

Brockle · 22/09/2013 22:09

hello!

Elizadoesdolittle · 22/09/2013 22:10

fatima I know what you mean about the mundaneness of it all. It's good for the kids to have routine but sometimes I find I'd just like a bit of spontanaety every now and then. But that's impossible when you have kids. Silly things were starting to wind me up. LIke breakfast always being exactly the same down to the minute details, ie DD1 pouring her milk a certain way. I'm probably not explaining this correctly so feel free to ignore my waffling. If you don't need the M&S code would you mind pm'ing it to me? I have been meaning all weekend to order DD1 some more uniform from M&S but not got round to it. 20% off would be really welcomed Smile

chasing When I do stir fry I do as gt said and just take bits out for the DD's first and then whack on the sauce for me.

We've just had an indian takeaway too Smile

GTbaby · 22/09/2013 22:13

Is it to late to do hypno birthing? For a course yes. But getting the book. Not sure if I should just go library n reserve it. Sod's law by time I get it baby will be here.
