Oh as it is thankful Thursday I am thankful for my little brother to cheer me up even though he is 1500 miles away. And thankful for O for being cute sometimes, not so thankful for the sleep regression.

And do you all remember me moaning that my ex neighbour was coming for dental treatment for 11 days? He took the accommodation and we saw him every day a bit. It was actually really nice. I feel guilty for moaning before but I think not having him in the flat really helped. He is leaving tomorrow, it passed so quickly.

mm Leo was like your man! he would have never allowed the tumble drier on. Having the dishwasher saved my sanity really, it was the best £250 I ever spent. It's on all the time together with the washing machine. I have not washed a cup even since it was installed 2 weeks ago.

O slept for 2 hours. Thanks fuck. I really need her to chill this afternoon. I already had a red bull and coffee. Oops.

I don't feel so bad then. I love the fluffiness of tumbled towels. Plus seeing as I am likely to be paying the fecking leccy bill this month, I have really gone to town and put the dishwasher on INTENSIVE wash for some particularly yucky post-roast cookwear. Three domestic appliances on at once, the man would be having a breakdown if he were here

Oh and I adore my tumble dryer. Resisted one for years, despite DPs always offering to buy us one. Got one the week after S was born. Has changed my life.

pass the career thing is hard post-baby. There is no rush to get to the next stage. It can wait, and P won't be small for long. I was on the cusp before DD. I came back, got passed over, have had S, am back, I may well be passed over again. It will happen, and while I do care and do want it, it is no longer the most important thing on my radar.

gt you are doing amazingly. I used nipple shields, neither DS or DD got any confusion. They just wanted milk! So I suggest approach with caution but don't rule out just because of what the MW says. BFing is time consuming, make sure you are comfortable. I always had 2 big pillows ( had to rugby ball hold) and had several sets of feeding pillows around the house. I never sat down to BF without them, the remote, sons water and cake.

YW you always have such good, calm, knowledgeable advice that I always think you come across like one of the mums of several DC and am always slightly taken aback when I remember that J is your first.

GT I got some when I was sore, but think I was too far gone by then and they didn't actually help - but it didn't confuse him at all and I would say try anything that might help. I haven't known a baby yet to get nipple confusion and refuse the nipple, much more likely they seem to refuse the bottle and only take the nipple not the other way around. I was so scared to offer a bottle first time around, but next time I would mix feed from very early. Do what works for you.

I use the tumble dryer all the time too. Underwear, socks, pj's and babygros go in all the time. Everything else gets hung out in the utility room but if it doesn't dry quickly (like in today's damp soggy weather) it goes in the tumble dryer for a quick dry finish. I'd be lost without it.

I use the tumble dryer all the time. If I hang clothes out the cats or dig pull them down.

gt I used shield for two weeks as I was too sore. As soon as I healed I didn't need them. Go for. To it really helped me to get through the pain.

No tumble drier here but I did switch the heating on in the bathroom where the clothes dry.

mm I have been tumble using since we have moved! I have no choice. I refuse to put all clothes in it, but anything that is safe to be tumble dried goes in. Then that warms the utility room that helps dry the rest. Slowly.

So perhaps I can tumble guilt free now.

Scary Beans. Was just stoped from going through the next village along the coast by the NI terrorist support bit of the police. Mahoosive guns. They are stopping all the cars, talking to some and waving them through. Then there are dubious looking electricity people up a pole.

Second nursery trial today. I get to leave them on their own! and go and have a coffee in the town. on. My. Own!!!!

What are thoughts on nipple shields? Mw suggested it other day. I dismissed due to nipple confusion. But as I get more sore I'm tempted to try anything.

Considering
A) I have flat nipples
B) a is tongue tie
C) I'm in pain lol

Are they reasons for using them? As A feeds more on one side I'm getting very sore.
