I was going to suggest Huggies wipes too Lily

I have been given conflicting legal advise by two different people today about a specific, checkable issue. A fact, not an opinion. Ended up looking it all up myself online and coming to my own conclusion. When you want something done properly do it your fucking self. Geez.

PurplePidjin · 01/10/2013 14:20

Sorry. Have read but nothing going in. Am watching the world through a haze. R will have yesterday's pasta sauce tonight then leftover sausages tomorrow so that's easy. Just got to keep him alive till 6

1/2 cup baby porridge + 1/2 cup juice + 3/4 cup flour = 28 yummy looking and smelling baby biscuits using an egg cup as a cutter. Will update what R thinks later, they're in the oven now.

Am panicking because I'm behind on laundry and have no clean night nappies. So tempted to pop down for a pack of disposables but doubt he'd sleep in the "wrong" pyjamas and is huge waste of money for 1 nappy. Will run dryer part of machine in an hour and skip the rinse that'll smell nice in the morning because that's so much cheaper and greener Hmm

PurplePidjin · 01/10/2013 15:17

Biscuits v popular. Might add banana next time. Or ginger/nutmeg/cinnamon and get a little gingerbread person cutter! Cheaper than organix and easier to get hold of too :o

Lily311 · 01/10/2013 15:24

Oh, huggies pure. I think I used that on her before when travelling on plane and she was fine. Not sure if they have it here but will find out. No water wipes here.

misslaughalot · 01/10/2013 15:37

PP biscuits sound good! How long did you bake them for?

PurplePidjin · 01/10/2013 15:49

15 @200C although i suspect 30 @ 150C would produce a harder teething biscuit. I used apple and raspberry juice as that's what was in the fridge but will use plain apple if i do them again

ChasingDaisy · 01/10/2013 16:31

How the bloody hell do you disassemble a jumperoo?! Hmm

Pikz · 01/10/2013 17:30

Slowly chasing! It's all metal pins. Take legs out first.

PP biscuits sound ace.

Where is vq?

ditsygem · 01/10/2013 17:31

chasing Press the little pegs in at the bottom of the legs and pull like hell to get each leg out (helps if you hold the base down) That's as far as I took it - just unattached the legs and top from the base and then threw it all into my hall cupboard to be sorted at a later date!

ditsygem · 01/10/2013 17:33

GT Not sure if anyone responded to your jaffa cake pondering, its because they release energy slowly. Some sports players have actually switched to jaffa cakes at half time rather then orange slices now as they are more effective.

PetiteRaleuse · 01/10/2013 17:43

I fb messaged vq yesterday. She seems ok but busy.

Pikz · 01/10/2013 18:31

L is driving me bonkers. No is apparently hilarious and he is just trashing everything Hmm

GTbaby · 01/10/2013 20:01

Lily I responded earlier but another lost post.
My DN had same issue with pampers and huggies. She found unbranded wipes better. Tesco, boots waitrose etc. if u have the equivalent?

BigPigLittlePig · 01/10/2013 20:04

Royally pissed off tonight.

Work have proven themselves total arse badgers.

My only holiday which I had taken to be used as holiday (long weekend in London at halfterm) as opposed to childcare, they have cancelled to let someone else take the full week.

And I was meant to be on-call on Boxing day. Now they've added Christmas day to that. So I am working 9-5 Mon, Tues. 9-9 Christmas day and boxing days, and 9-5 Friday.

Angry x a million.
And Sad to miss my babys first proper Christmas.

Kyz · 01/10/2013 20:38

Evening everyone!

Hope everyone is ok? Will start from whence I did leave off. As usual. Today has been a good day and a bad day. Eric has been a pleasure, which is always nice :). Then the reality that is life hit me as I was stood peeling another pan of potatoes. I love him to bits but my brain is dying. Not sure how to fix this. I am worried for my future. I love being a SAHM but it won't be forever, and I am not sure what will be in store for me after that. Especially with how I am. Not sure where to go from here, or even if there's any point considering it yet. Ho hum. Anyway.

Wooohoo for the thesis in pass good stuff :)

Not sure if placebo effect with the calpol or sugar rush need, but he didn't have any tonight before going to sleep. He took about 10 mins to self settle but he did self settle and didn't cry, so that's good.

GT I hope you are thoroughly spoilt at your mums :) I think breastmilk is so so good that they simply don't need so much of it. E was on 6oz bottles by 4 weeks, he had formula. Elyza had EBM when in hospital and was having 3-4oz at 4 weeks. Sorry, I don't know much about breastfeeding given how rubbish I was at it but I think you're doing fab :) I think i'm trying to say that I wouldn't worry, sounds like a really good amount based on when I did express for that first week and based on what mum expressed for Elyza.

Glad the nursery was nice sophia hope the settling goes well :) Sounds like a good workout too :)

Oh poor F bplp that's so unfair!

Sounds like he's doing great pikz

Glad to hear you're thinking positive pr that's good :)

lily E has been standing for minutes at a time for weeks now and still hasn't started walking so you might be safe for a bit! E just drops to the floor and crawls. Saying that though today he was going from the sofa to the footstool, only one step without holding furniture but it's one step more than he was doing before!

Hey donna

Will have to try those biscuits out pp

BPLP That really takes the piss, i'd be thoroughly wound up!!!!

I miss vq too, good to hear she's ok, just busy. Hope she's back soon though!

Can't remember what else I meant to say. Again.

PetiteRaleuse · 01/10/2013 20:46

Bollocks pig but good to know they prioritise school holiday people, for later on. Christmas not good :(
Do you at least have her birthday off?

BigPigLittlePig · 01/10/2013 20:49

PR it was me that wanted the school hols, for dsd. The guy that's got the week is a single bloke who plans to do a "bit of this and that" for the week. Do have her birthday off though, and have taken a few days off beforehand too. If they want to cancel that they can fuck off.

PetiteRaleuse · 01/10/2013 21:02

Bollocks. Sorry, didn't get that from your post. Sweary wednesday tomorrow. Shall we start now? Fucking cuntweasels.

BigPigLittlePig · 01/10/2013 21:04

Back-stabbing cunting arse weasling bollockses.

GTbaby · 01/10/2013 21:13

BP that sucks!
Kyz glad lo settled himself. Without his sugar rush.

So lost a post earlier -
mum came today Grin and PIL were at hospital as he has his op tomorrow.
So had a totally chilled out day. Sat in one place. Feeding with out worrying about ppl walking in.
FH got a nap. He has been sleeping on the floor. I got a nap! Grin H had someone to play with.
It was lovely. Very relaxed.

A hasn't been feeding great today very fussy taking ages to latch. Hope he is just having a off day.

Mw turned up today. She had wrong address so couldn't find me yesterday.
A has only lost 120g. He could have lost up to 300g n still be within 10% loss. So that's good. However she did say he seems to be struggling latching. She confirmed tongue tie but said only way to have it snipped was privately. She said I could try nipple shields and expressing to pull out. She is going to call tomorrow to see how it's going.
She confirmed jaundice but said not to worry.

She also checked my stitches and they are ok. Despite the crazy pain.

GTbaby · 01/10/2013 21:17

Wanking bollacking fucking shitting twats.

Didn't want to be left out.

BigPigLittlePig · 01/10/2013 21:26

GT the guidelines say to get tongue ties snipped if they're interfering with feeding ie. poor latch, or blocked ducts/mastitis. Speak to your gp, don't let it interfere with things. Fs wasn't picked up til she ws 8 weeks old, and once they snipped it, it made life soooo much easier! She fed like a dream. Glad you've had a lovely day. And thanks for the sweary solidarity Grin

TheDetective · 01/10/2013 21:26

Cheese glorious cheeeeeeeeeeeese Grin.

I am keeping my entire body crossed and contorted that this is going to go well! I am scared to be excited but so totally am anyway!.

He did have a watery vomit x 1 about an hour after cheese. But that is all.

Walking is getting more and more steady, climbing getting faster, I'm getting balder. Hmm

Loving this stage. Totally, totally loving it. Hate being at work.

Speaking of work, I now have options, CBA to go in to it in depth as I have to make a decision by the end of this week, but basically, I can do a half and half admin/clinical post for a few weeks. Either half a shift clinical half admin, or 2 days admin, 2 days clinical. Or none of it at all. Don't know what to do. For lots of reasons. Hmm

Hope everyone is well, I am reading, but failing to remember much.

I just remembered JJ posted about the pram - I had got the info on the recall - thanks! I had already requested a ring back from them. Surprise surprise, they didn't call me. Must follow that up - on my first day off later this week!! I knew mine would be affected, with it being the very first batch. Sods law. I might just badger them for a whole new chassis...

Pikz · 01/10/2013 21:26

Wanking arsebagers bplp.

Fucking cunting cold can fuck off. I still feel shit after 3 days. Just do one.

GT not true about the private snip. You can be referred by your local breast feeding specialist. I was. They then cut them in hospital. Takes seconds.

TheDetective · 01/10/2013 21:31

Oh, and MIL had O and her other grandson today. He is 6 months older than O.

O is taller, and weighs more. O looks older physically.

They look nothing alike, but in the double buggy today, people were asking MIL if they were twins.

I've bred a whopper. Hmm
