BigPigLittlePig · 27/09/2013 22:06

Also jealous of GT. It's strange because our babies are still babies. It seems mad to have another tinier baby...I literally can't imagine it! Lovely though, lovely to sniff their hair (does he have hair GT?!) - am vair excited for a photo.

So i basically can't remember what has been said. Shit week, shit bedtime. Illness can fuck off, I'm done with the vom and sleeplessness now. It has been weeks since we had a decent night (sorry to those who routinely have shitters but need a reet good whinge).

Anyway.
Have bundled up a load of ebay stuff - made quite a bit which I was v Shock about as thought nobody would bid. And now off to bed. Please sleep little pig and please don't have nightmares about poorly little pig tonight, mummy pig

ChasingDaisy · 27/09/2013 22:23

I thought I would be jealous of newborn snuggles but I'm not. Very happy for GT though Smile. And I'm sure I'll get jealous when I see a pic!

pig sounds horrendous. I don't know how you're coping, what with work as well.

Random question. Would I be expected to buy Christmas/birthday/fathers day cards for XP on O's behalf?

YellowWellies · 27/09/2013 22:26

Chasing given he was a violent twat to you I think one of XP's sisters can buy cards for him from O. IMHO! Wink

Elizadoesdolittle · 27/09/2013 22:30

apple Glad you are having a lovely evening. You deserve it.

chasing Have fun tomorrow night. I look forward to hearing all the details well maybe not all of them Grin

kirrin sounds like me too. I have all these grand ideas of things I need to do, and I really do want to do them, but come the evening I sit on the sofa and veg. So I've said I will do them when DD1 is at nursery forgetting that I have E to look after! And if she does happen to sleep whilst DD1 is at nursery I use the time wisely and sit around drinking tea and mumsnetting! So my house remains a cluttered tip. I'm off to IKEA on Thursday to get some storage stuff so that will help.

pr E does that too, hands me something and waits for me to give it back and giggles away. So cute. chasing It's often her socks too. The photo you put on fb with O and his socks reminded me of E. I think this age is a lovely age. Simple things provide them with so much joy.

DD1 had a horrific melt down before bed tonight. Not had one like that for quite a while. She got better at calming herself down. Think 2 full weeks of nursery have taken their toll. Plus we've been quite busy this week before and after nursery.

Just watching strictly. I'm impressed with suzanna reid. Didn't expect her to be so good. DH is hiding in the study, he hates strictly with a passion.

ChasingDaisy · 27/09/2013 22:30

That's the answer I was hoping for YW Wink I'm hoping that my dad remembers to buy cards for me from O.

ChasingDaisy · 27/09/2013 22:34

Eliza I was thinking today how lovely it is that O gets pleasure from such simple things. One of his toys makes a 'hooray' noise and whenever he sets it off he looks at me with such wonder and a massive grin. I was also very impressed with Susannah Reid. Brendan Cole is my celebrity crush though so was extremely pleased to see him. I also love Ashley Taylor Dawson. Big Hollyoaks fan so was looking forward to seeing him.

Elizadoesdolittle · 27/09/2013 22:36

bplp Hope you and minipig sleep well.

Hmmm chasing I wouldn't bother if I was you!

Elizadoesdolittle · 27/09/2013 22:39

chasing I think Ashley and Ola will go quite far. I haven't watched hollyoaks for ages but he is as craig put it, very easy on the eye. And he came across like a nice bloke in his vt as well.

MissMummy1 · 27/09/2013 22:42

Chasing if I left P, then I wouldn't. He's a twat who brought limited access visits on himself. He is a part time daddy and his lack of birthday cards is his own doing.

GT I am hideously jealous. I can't hide it. EVERYONE I know is having a baby Envy

I have just won a Next duffle coat for Autumn/Winter next year for M. This is sooo sad, but I have been outbid at the last second so often for one in this size that I gave up and bought a different one. And then I found this one in next year's size, hoorah!

PetiteRaleuse · 27/09/2013 22:43

Socks are a big deal. Look, I can take 'em off! And again! And again! Yeah, I know am supposed to keep 'em on, but I can take them off. And again. And again Hmm

Nursery have admitted that they are going against their rulez by giving LO real food instead of purée. I said when we started that she eats anything as long as purée is mixed up with finger food. Now they are having to give her the toddler food as she won't take food from a spoon from them. I'd brag but she won't take it from me either, only DH has that honour.

Elizadoesdolittle · 27/09/2013 23:00

Oh and chasing we have these bath foam things:

Animal bath stickers

They're really good. They do car ones, numbers, letters. Highly recommend them.

PetiteRaleuse · 28/09/2013 00:12

Total thread derail but has anyone watched House of Cards? The new Kevin Space version? It rocks.

misslaughalot · 28/09/2013 00:39

Ooh PR I watched the first one last night! Was hoping to have a night on the sofa for a few more episodes tonight as DP has gone out but babylaughalot had other ideas in the form of a one hour screaming session Hmm most unlike her.

I tried everything (shushing, drink of water, cuddle, rocking, teething granules, feed and burp) and in the end it was white noise that calmed her down and then I gave her a dose of Calpol as I can only assume that she is teething. She'll cry when she wakes normally but hardly ever screams so it must be teething, right?! Anyway she's asleep now.

Oh and we have the sock game too, mostly by tugging them off with her teeth in her car seat. They're usually soggy and on the car floor by the time we reach our destination...

PetiteRaleuse · 28/09/2013 00:42

we don't have netflix here so have to go by two episodes a week. I think last night we saw 8-9. It is brilliant. I am hoping someone will say it is not as good as West Wing so I can enjoy that (have never watched it) but a so scared of buying WW and not enjoying it after HoC...

Lily311 · 28/09/2013 07:04

chasing the card thing is the weird one. I would not buy any for him, he has family to do that. However I truly hope you will get a card or present from your family from O. I am still sad not getting my Mother's Day card...although my brothers bought me flowers...

I think we might be seeing the end of the ear infection, O woke up in a good mood with no temperature. I hope it will last as I'm so tired, it's been a very difficult couple of days. My exam is looming and I still haven't opened the books.

pikz I still remember your expressing but really, how did It pass so quickly ?

BigPigLittlePig · 28/09/2013 07:44
Brew

Morning.

Sorry I've been a bit crap at namechecking the past few days, I have read everything, but trying to type with the vommy sleepdodger is, er, challenging. My brief "yay" to GT was so brief because an overenthusiastic F was merrily bashing the keyboard and hit post a bit prematurely. Still, it was the gist of the overall message!

PR sounds as though there's some tough decisions to make. I don't envy the prospect of moving though (same goes for stunt and eliza) - it seems only yesterday we moved in here, and the boxes, the chaos I am glad you're back on fighting form now.

Lily glad to hear O is a little better, good luck with the revision. And kyz I'm glad E had a better day yesterday.

Sorry to hear work is so tough det, do you have time off after the 4 day marathon?

Glad kirrinhorse is getting a 2nd chance.

Chasing I thought of you and your bravery this morning as I sprayed half a can of bug spray on an enormous house spider in my kitchen. There was not a cat in hells chance I could humanely deal with it. As to the cards, tricky one. DH and his ex-p get each other cards/presents from dsd at bday and Christmas, even though I also do it (with dsd). But they are much more amicable....My feeling is that even if ex-p is a giant twat, a card with a scribble in ism't much effort, and when O is older he's likely to enjoy doing it.

Better night in the end, although it took 1hr of rocking (failed), a 20 minute car ride, and another 10 minutes of rocking to get her to sleep (so bed at 9). She came into bed with us at 4.30 and got up at 6.30 Envy. We've just had a baaaad poonami (think newborn baby Wink) all the way to the toes of the babygro. Nice.

fruitpastilles · 28/09/2013 08:00

Good ebaying mm I got S's coat for this winter off eBay, a lovely next one that I won for under £2. Bargain!

I haven't seen any of these series, dexter, hoc, breaking bad, the wire, none of them, and I normally love a good series to get into. I might need to start downloading some. Which is the best?

Glad O seems better lily

Poonami doesn't good pig if it's any consolation I licked poo yesterday Hmm I took S out of her highchair after eating breakfast and she had a bit of crumpet stuck to her pjs along with some weetabix, so I took her bottoms off to take her upstairs and get her cleaned up and thought I had weetabix on my finger. It wasn't. Poonami!

We are off to a first birthday party today, my friends little boys, S has a new dress to wear, I can't wait to put her in it Smile

GTbaby · 28/09/2013 08:01

Need to vent. So tiered. Nipples starting to hurt. Didn't sleep well. Due to crying babies on the ward and my baby feeding on and off for almost two hours. Refusing to sleep in bassinet so had him in my arms as I dozed. Just done a feed on my flat side. Mw helped me latch on in end. And after 30seconds he is fast asleep.

I am SO swollen down there had to ask mw to check it as I thought something must be wrong. It's not. But they are not giving me string enough pain meds. So in agony ATM.

Trying to perk up. My mantra being " your worth it" lol.

Going to close my eyes now while I have a second.

BigPigLittlePig · 28/09/2013 08:04

Envy fruit

GT ((hugs)) I hated being in hospital - my baby slept (ha! not any more) and everyone elses yelled and screeched all night. It will be better once you're home. You are doing amazingly though, you've just given birth to an actual baby! And spent the past 9 months run ragged looking after another baby! You are wonderwoman. Thanks x a million xxx

StuntNun · 28/09/2013 08:30

PR I will give House of Cards a try thanks. I luffs Kevin Spacey.

Chasing I think you should get a card for O to give to his dad for his birthday etc. I wouldn't put a lot of effort in, get a Tesco Value one if you like. When O is at nursery school/primary school he will make Father's Day cards.

OP posts:
ChasingDaisy · 28/09/2013 08:36

I think I will do cards but like you said stunt, nothing fancy. For Oscar's sake I want to keep things amicable. He certainly won't do them for me though.

GTbaby · 28/09/2013 08:39

Nap interrupted by tea lady.
I think it's the swelling and pain getting my down the most.

Better get my breakfast before tea lady comes back.

BigPigLittlePig · 28/09/2013 08:43

When are they letting you go home GT?

Turns out that something called bubble guppies is highly entertaining if you're 10 months old. Although not quite so entertaining as coathangers Hmm Come on dh, wakey wakey!
