Dunno det - think it's broken??

MM sounds like a plan. Well 2 plans. Bedtime and baby plans.

All I can hear from dh is clunk, clunk "aarrrgggrggh nnnaarrrgh" clunk "NNNYYARRRGH BLOODY CUPBOARDS" - he is really enjoying the newly installed cupboard locks Grin

Passmethecrisps · 19/09/2013 21:16

I actually sympathise with him mm! This was my issue. I turn the monitor off at bedtime. It is on now but I will turn it off when I go to bed. I wake now when she actually wakes not when she whimpers in a dream or breathes deeply. With a bit of time p now wakes maybe once at about 4ish needing her dummy. This is showing signs of abating as well as I stumbled in the other night to witness her stuffing her own dummy back in and grabbing bunny before falling soundly back asleep.

Broodiness. Hmm. Sometimes I feel like I could have another in a heart beat. Other times I feel very, very strongly that p is an only. No idea. I suspect DH would like another.

Passmethecrisps · 19/09/2013 21:18

That will be us tomorrow bp! Magnetic locks were ordered and apparently delivered to a neighbour yesterday. Most pop round and collect. BTW is there anything you can do for your mouth? Bonjela?

BigPigLittlePig · 19/09/2013 21:33

Pass am using the best mouthwash which numbs it for about 20 minutes (heaven), and steroids Confused. Plus regular paracetamol.

TheDetective · 19/09/2013 21:34

O just set the damn sheep off again. Harp. It fucking woke him up and made him start crying!

But then put him back to sleep.

The irony.

MadameGazelleIsMyMum · 19/09/2013 21:40

kyz great to have you posting again. Yes, the bloody cough. Doesn't seem to bother him but puts thoughts of sleep training aside.

Hi jaylee!

Broody talk, eh? A friend popped into work with a 3 week old. Normally the sight of a newborn makes me thankful to be past that jerky, mewing stage. Then I had a cuddle. Instinctive hold, instinctive bouncy-sway. It was nice. My gut feeling is we are done. If we won the lottery I would have another I think.

Just waiting for S to go back to sleep in my bed so I can finish packing. I fly to Haggisland tomorrow. Will wave at all of you as I fly the length of the country en route to the climb. Toe is marginally less fucked so am going to strap the bugger up, take some paracetamol, and do my best to do it.

BigPigLittlePig · 19/09/2013 21:54

Whoop whoop whoop go Team Gazelle

daisychain76 · 19/09/2013 21:57

Hello, not caught up, having horrible sleepless nights and piles of work. Was supposed to be having a party for H this weekend but we feel too shattered so have put it back a week (he is 1 next Tuesday!). Will try to catch up now.

GingerBeerAndTinnedPeaches · 19/09/2013 21:59

Good luck with the climb :)

Night quiche. Watched two episodes of House of Cards tonight. Love it.

Dexter final series stating on Thursday nights once HoC is over. I love my TV sooooo much

GingerBeerAndTinnedPeaches · 19/09/2013 22:01

Wow daisy I knew there was one I'd forgotten when I was thinking about upcoming first birthdays how could I have forgotten H?!

Evilwater · 19/09/2013 22:04

Hello all,
Things are going very well here at evils. p has finished his uni degree, Grin N birthday party is soon, and of course you are all welcome ( just let me know on the FB group)
We have stopped N's gavision, and he seems ok with out it but every so often he needs it. Another tooth of his is coming so that makes 4 now! Grin

For a while at work I have felt unhappy, I've felt like a glorified monkey. So I'm filling out a application to do a return to learn course. I've checked at work and are no level 3 running due to funds. I'm hoping to do my nurse training, if all goes well. However I am a bad student, so I'm taking things easy.

I'm stuck on the "why do you want to do this course" bit. Such a great start!

Evil

daisychain76 · 19/09/2013 22:05

Don‘t worry peach there are a lot of LOs to remember! I can‘t believe how fast it‘s gone.

Kyz · 19/09/2013 22:12

Yay for teefs pass!! I am particularly fond of wee p, the image of her toddling about is very cute indeed!

Sounds like a good plan mm good luck with it! I am really quite broody but couldn't tell you why. I do not like the sleeplessness, I do not like the its crying but I can't fix it and I did not like giving birth at all. I have stressed and struggled and doubted myself as a fit parent the whole way through e growing up to where he is now. BUT I'd love another. The good bits far outweigh the difficult bits it seems, even when I'm being downright miserable and really down on myself, I'd love another. Not that e isn't enough for me, if I only ever have e I'll still be a very happy Kyz.

Woohoo madame the very best of luck for tomorrow!

Wow daisy h is our first 'onelet'!! How exciting!!! I am still unsure what we are doing for e re: his birthday :/

Elizadoesdolittle · 19/09/2013 22:29

izzybizzybuzzybees · 19/09/2013 23:52

We had no plan tonight as didn't have time to discuss with DH as I was our at a course til after 9pm. J has only just fallen asleep now . Will try put him in Cot And then accept co sleeping I think. Any ideas what my next step should be? I don't think we can let him cry for hours on end. One hour yes but no longer really. I have dd and neIghbours to think about!

GTbaby · 20/09/2013 00:28

BP separation anxiety lasted about a week.

ShockShockShockShock at midwives on bbc2 yesterday. and the hubby taking Pics of babies head.
My dh didn't even want to look down there during my birth let alone take pics.

Oh my moan for the day.
Dh put car up for sale. New car deposit is being paid on Sunday. But don't know when we will actually get it.
Our Car for sale, guy calls from Glasgow is flying down tomorrow to buy and pick up our car.
We don't know when new car will be available. We won't have a car! I'm 38+ weeks Angry

We have access to fil car. But they go out everyday for a few hours and don't keep a Mobil phone. So what are we meant to do in an emergency!

Your dh is crackers GT! What a time to sell the car. Maybe phone the new car place and ask how long it will be? I would probably consider trying to find a cheap hire deal or set up the inlaws with a mobile so they can get back. Unless there is a very good and quick local taxi who would be happy to take you? I don't think all of them would take women in labour though?

Massively good luck MadameG! Very impressed with your batshit crazy steely determination Grin. I hope the toe holds out for you and you enjoy at least bits of it and raise loads of cash. Pretty awesome even to try.

Izzy, I couldn't do that much crying either. I rembee doing lots of pick up put down with dd - but I think your lo might be too stubborn for that. Has the sleep consultant got back to you? Big hugs.

Apple - hugs to you too. Hoping you have managed to get an emergency appt.

Kyz - lovely to hear the smiles in your post (though posting sad is fine too...). Am so glad you had a lovely day.

Hope your night is going ok mm.

Bryzoan · 20/09/2013 02:41

Pennie - no - not this time for vq. A good friend of mine always used to say "something always turns up" though and he was usually right so hoping something good turns up for vq soon.

YellowWellies · 20/09/2013 03:00

First wake up and tooth nearly through. Thank you Mrs Calpol. FC a better night than last. GT has your entire family forgotten there's a baby due any day? Shock

Lily311 · 20/09/2013 05:11

We have tooth nr 5 and I'm guessing nr 6 is arriving within days. She really cried yesterday , it explains the rubbish sleep patterns.

I am extremely broody. Have been for a couple of months. I think it's because I know it's not possible. Sigh.

I have a friend over and she changes her voice when talking to O, it irritates me so much. She is a baby but not stupid, honestly I've been on my own for far too long, I can't tolerate even my friends. How sad.

I need to catch up, must read back.

StuntNun · 20/09/2013 05:50

I hope Izzy is having an okay night. I ended up co-sleeping with my J a couple of nights ago because he was unsettled. The sleep training has been working well for us but it's still important to be responsive to your child. The hard part is telling the difference between heartrending sobs that will end in a couple of minutes from cries that will continue. I've been sleep training for ten days now and in that time we've had one all night Shock, three nights with one wake up for a feed, and one bad night which resulted in co-sleeping. But that's with him having a cold and a front top tooth coming through so I'm very happy with the progress so far.
