GT, yes I got creams from the doctor which cleared it up. He is still prone to dry skin which I use Aveeno for and seems to help. I can imagine it might get worse with the cold weather again now though.

ChasingDaisy · 19/09/2013 15:18

Also, I only use water in his bath and only bath him twice a week.

GingerBeerAndTinnedPeaches · 19/09/2013 16:49

Crap. The cacharel coat looks to go for one euro :(

I can't remove the listing. Lesson to self: always put a minimum amount. Twat.

GingerBeerAndTinnedPeaches · 19/09/2013 16:51

As of tomorrow LO will be doing full nursery days. Shorter hours than when I'll be working but I will be on my own 9-5.

GTbaby · 19/09/2013 16:54

Ginger can't u get hubby to bid on it Blush

TheDetective · 19/09/2013 17:02

Apple How are you this afternoon? Please get that GP appt. A&E if needed if things get really bad. C needs you. He loves his mummy. Remember, depression is an illness that needs treating. You won't feel like this with the right treatment. Thanks

GT I second the dry skin/eczema giving him a problem.

Today has improved. Thank fuck. I am not giving tomato again Shock Shock Shock. DP said I was crazy for trying Blush. I just feel his diet is so limited :( Tomato makes so much stuff yummy ffs.

O had mayo today on pasta, sweetcorn and ham. He loved it. I had to shower him after. He lay on the bottom of the bath, face up, letting the water run over his face. I was a bit Confused but he seemed to be loving the feeling of it on his face! Weird child! He was doing all kinds of weird arm movements and joyful squirming!

Eventually we made it out the house, walked up to Sainsburys with him in the sling. He fell asleep in it hooray! Got some more bargain christmas presents too Grin!

GingerBeerAndTinnedPeaches · 19/09/2013 17:20

No he doesn't have an ebay account GT

MissMummy1 · 19/09/2013 17:32

Can you remove the listing after it has ended pr . State it is lost or something and brace yourself for negative feedback. I have done this once Blush and got away with it Blush Blush Blush

Lots of hugs apple - pleeeease demand to see your gp. Or hv. or go present at a&e. No shame in doing this. You need help and that is okay. Thinking of you Thanks Thanks Thanks

P's first rotation back on nights tonight. I am starting sleep training. Will post more from laptop later but I suspect I will be keeping izzy et al company. Basically, for the past 3 months he has done the nights (I know I am ridiculously lucky in this sense) but his method of settling her is just to take her into the spare bed with him. This stops tonight. I am damned if I am cosleeping again.

jaylee89 · 19/09/2013 18:27

Hello ladies long time no speak.

It's so lovely to hear of everyone's little ones growing up.

It was this time last year we were all like "I've had enough now" that still only feels like yesterday to me.

E is crawling and cruising now which frightens me as she is becoming such a dare devil.

She is huge though she's in 12-18 month clothes and she's only 10 months old!!!!!! Se loves her food ( which is also her nickname in my family) FOOD!! She literally crawls up to you if you have food and climbs up your legs and stands there with her mouth open as if to say "well shove some in there then" but it suits her and I wouldn't have her any other way.

I hope all is well with everyone. Is anyone thinking of having anymore soon?? I'm getting broody as alot of parents down DD school are popping them out left right and centre :).

Nice to hear from you all.

GTbaby · 19/09/2013 18:30

So thinking I've been rubbish with lotions after bathBlush oops.

Plan of action. Oil feet with olive oil every day and wait till Monday ish for nxt bath... Or shall I use Aquarius cream? Any ideas?

Also went for X-ray/ blood test today. Blood test they told FH on phone not to worry about numbing cream as they would do it. They didn't! Well they couldn't find a vain on either arm! So ended up taking blood from his foot. He cried alot. Poor baby.
X-ray was quick. Didn't even take his baby grow / vest off which surprised me as they had poppers on. Either way dr in X-ray dept said she saw no sign of rikkets. So now will have to work out why his legs are slightly bowed. And hope it doesn't get worse when he starts walking.

GTbaby · 19/09/2013 18:36

Ginger do you have time to make another account?

Jay. Great to hear from you. Yes I remember that fed up feeling, and I'm currently going thro the same thing again. Having such a small gap is very tiering! And bump hasn't even arrived yet , 30th sep is D day.

BigPigLittlePig · 19/09/2013 18:39

I'm sorry to keep banging on, but my fucking mouth Sad It's even worse today. DH picked me up some codeine but I know it makes me v drowsy and am worried I won't hear F in the night (dh sleeps through her crying, always has done Angry).

GT glad xray was ok, sorry to hear the blood taking was traumatic though.

Ginge I've just listed a load of stuff on ebay. Hoping against hope it does better than your coat.

jaylee89 · 19/09/2013 18:46

Wow gt you are very very brave. But I admire you for it.

I am getting very broody and me and DH are talking about TTC. I haven't got time to wipe my pissing ass atm let alone DTD! Don't get me wrong I'd love to do it more often lol.

StuntNun · 19/09/2013 19:13

What are you planning tonight Izzy? It's a shame the cc seemed to be working so well but last night was a problem. My J has figured out that being put in his cot is a bad thing and screams the place down but we have been managing to get him to stay in his cot until the early hours so that's not too bad. I'll be glad when this top tooth finally pops through though.

BigPigLittlePig · 19/09/2013 19:27

I think we have some serious separation anxiety in the pigsty at the mo. I walk out from her bedroom and within 2 seconds she is in total hysteria, proper tears and sobs - the full works. I'm guessing it's linked to this whole movement thing - those of you who have had mobile babies for a while, how long did you find the jack-in-a-box/velcro baby lasted for?

YellowWellies · 19/09/2013 19:40

Stunt I've always worried about creating negative associations about his cot if I let him CIO Confused .

Jaylee awesome to hear from you. Jonas is terrible at begging for food too - but he's so little its awful it looks like we don't feed him. Despite HV saying she's never known a baby eat so much. He's either got worms or the genes which let me eat anything without gaining weight - which sadly abandoned me in my late 20s.

Today he has been such a whinge and so feisty! Nappy changes are horrific battles of wills, my removing dangerous objects from his grasp results in furious shrieks, he was raging that I wouldn't let him crawl around the train floor, 'no' is just laughed at, and the cat is to be terrorised. I fear I mistook his previous immobility for an angelic nature. The wee feck was just plotting how best to get an ASBO.Hmm (I do love him but streuth today he was a wee sod)! The day was only saved by a lovely afternoon at Chez MM. Aulay dog is awesome!

YellowWellies · 19/09/2013 19:43

Oh and I can see his top tooth - what's the betting that cutting through will turn our weekend away in the lake district into a screaming insomnia convention and leave me and DH ratty and sleep deprived rather than loved up!

TheDetective · 19/09/2013 20:34

Oscar has turned Ewan the freaky sheep on in his sleep. Not a sound emitted from the baby monitor, until 'thud thud thud' of the white noise front paw.

Scared the SHIT out of me I can tell you!!

So glad the other babies are getting up to mischief! Grin

I changed a newborn at work last night. It was SO weird. No one to grapple with, hold down, no one shooting poo in my direction, and generally going all octopus on mind altering drugs on me. Hmm

I miss that. Hmm

Kyz · 19/09/2013 20:44

Evening everyone! E has been an absolute delight today :) and I have lost another lb. Seems to be coming off slowly but it's still coming off! I spoke to another lady at SW too and felt far too chuffed for having the bollocks to do so.

Thanks for the lunch suggestions it's actually helped to know I don't have the only child in the world fussy with sandwiches and also that he might/will probably grow out of it! It might be that he can't manage it so well, he has two tiny teggies so probably Blush maybe he's worked out a sarnie is much harder work than other things so he'd prefer not to have one.

sorry to hear S's cough is back madame it's been really persistent hasn't it :(

apple you're not a shit parent at all - if you were you wouldn't care so much about C and what's best for him. It's brill that you and dp are now working together to help C's sleep as that is the best way forward imo. He definitely wouldn't be better off elsewhere that's for sure, big hugs.

Thankyou yw :)

Izzy so sorry last night was so hard for you all :(

Lovely to read everyones thankful Thursdays. I am very thankful today, and I have missed the feeling. Today I am thankful for such a beautiful son, that may have his more difficult days but has had a corker of a day today and has been a total pleasure all day. I am thankful for a lovely family, especially a lovely dp, because even though they sometimes don't realise how much I do, dp spontaneously came home with flowers today 'just because' and my brother hugged me for cooking tea. I am very very thankful for the quiche, i've found it quite tough recently and you've all helped me focus on things properly and at least be able to think clearly for the first time in a little while. I can't say every day will be as lovely as today, in fact I know it won't, but I know there's light at the end of the tunnel on the darker days because of you guys being so kind and lovely the other day :)

sorry to read of the other shitty nights :(

lovely to hear you so positive chasing :)

LOL pass!!!

Glad your day got better det i think i'd definitely leave tomato out for a bit!

oh hey jaylee lovely to hear from you!

bplp you sound SO sore, ouch! I really hope you get better soon bless you!

yw e has days like that - when he could first move at a rate of knotts it was bad, then when he could stand it got bad again and then cruising. Today was a good day but up until today he's been quite a difficult little man. I thought I had a laid back happy go lucky type too! Maybe they'll get it out of their systems before asbo age?

det i bet it's very strange! I find it odd going from E to E and there's only 6 months age difference!

Hope i haven't missed anything!

Passmethecrisps · 19/09/2013 20:52

Evening wimmins!

Hia jaylee! I love our drop ins. Glad things are good.

Oh fuck. What was I going to say?

Erm.

Oh aye. bp p had a very, very short period of separation anxiety. Literally a day or two and very mild. I suspect if they move early it will be less intense as their cognitive ability will be less complex.

We have teeth! Well, one. And it's buddy looks set to arrive post haste. Two horrendous acid poos (actual, full on acid burns?!) and that was it

P has also developed bath anxiety. No idea why really. I will let her nappy rash clear the she and I will bath together if it doesn't resolve. Poor DH did bath time alone yesterday and was almost tearful at the state of her

Passmethecrisps · 19/09/2013 20:53

And one more call to arms for apple

Do not underestimate this
Do not underestimate how quickly you can feel better with medical help
Please, please get medical help very quickly

Passmethecrisps · 19/09/2013 20:56

Oh. And apparently p was toddling around her toddler group with the CM today. CM was vair proud! All the mums were ooing and aahing over her. P that is. She thinks walking on her akshall legs is hilarious.

YellowWellies · 19/09/2013 21:00

you won the toof race!

TheDetective · 19/09/2013 21:03

Can I just ask - the thread (before I post) said 924 posts. Yes YW's post above me is on a new page. It should be 926 if it is on a new page.

It is REALLY bugging me Grin.

Whhhhhhy?!

MissMummy1 · 19/09/2013 21:09

Hi Jaylee - funny you should say that, today is one of a number of days I can count on one hand that I have ever felt broody in my life. I blame watching the Midwives last night and a cuddle with next door's almost-newborn this morning. Today I would love another baby. Despite M being an utter whingey nightmare. I also think P going back to work and our relationship starting to recover as a result of having some space away from each other and even if he is being a prat I know it will be no more than 12 hours until he is out of my space again! has something to do with it.

Anyway, we have agreed that if our relationship is fixed Hmm , we are somewhere towards owning a house, I have a PROPER job that pays PROPER maternity leave and we haven't broken M; then I will have my implant removed when she is 2 and we will stop not trying.

Great to hear both chasing and kyz sounding so happy tonight. This has really made my day as I have been thinking about you both. apple too x

Right bedtime. Arghhh. It was an utter cluster-fuck of screaming. But I am determined to establish a proper routine, so here goes. Please pick it apart:

7pm walk around the village with dog
7.30pm bath
7.40pm teeth, pj's, sleep-pod
7.45pm story(/ies) in nursery
8pm bottle and bed

This can start 30 mins either side of 7pm to fit with P's shift pattern.

I also have no idea how I am going to fix the multiple night wakenings other than walking round the upstairs landing for hours, shush/patting. My mum reckons without P here she will sleep through, as he wakes up to the slightest noise and goes into her wayyyy before he should (sometimes before she is even awake) Confused
