Cross post GT Hope H feels better soon. I assume they gave you a spacer to use with the inhaler?

GTbaby · 04/09/2013 22:59

Yes we have a spacer Kirin. I placed it over his mouth as practise and he would not stay still Shock surprised?? Lol

Really hope he is better by Saturday Blush meant to be going out. Have arranged a baby sitter! We are not due to leave until after his bed time and his night time sleep has been ok. But would still feel bad for leaving him.

Kyz · 05/09/2013 04:23

Wtf??? E has just woken up screeching/singing at the top of his lungs, and is now trying to self settle. Bizzare.

GTbaby · 05/09/2013 04:49

Same here kyz Hmm hope he sleeps soon. I need to pee.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 05/09/2013 06:36

So I put them down later to bed. And......

They are both up at 6.

Gt When we have had a spacer we had to use two people, one to restrain and one to puff. Hmm

O seems to be cruising about big time and getting more and more stable every day although I am still paranoid about the concrete floor. He is eating like a bottomless pit but I think trying to cut down a bit on the bottle. I have tried to move to a beaker but he is not having it.

Everyday we go outside after tea for a proper play, or the beach, or a walk up the fields they love it, we don't normally get in till after 6 ( we wait in the field by the road to see daddy coming up the hill after work) it does the job of wearing me out but obviously not working on the boys!

My hair is wild a combination of soft water and wind I think, any wise hair tips?

YellowWellies · 05/09/2013 08:29

Sophia Orkney did the same to my hair. I cut it short myself. Then had to wear lots of hats!

Bryzoan · 05/09/2013 09:32

I just found G unloading the dishwasher .

Pikz · 05/09/2013 10:19

Date night went very well and we returned this morning and he woke at 11pm for an hour but then slept til 7. So not too bad considering what we've had recently.

Brockle · 05/09/2013 10:51

I found Y halfway up the stairs this morning Shock. lessons learned: ds1 is not a good babysitter when cartoon network is on; DH has to stop being a lazy arse and put the stair gates up Smile I only went to the top of the stairs because I wondered what Y was so delighted about Grin

TheDetective · 05/09/2013 12:02

Grin Brockle. DS1 isn't a good babysitter when the TV is on full stop! GRR!

Last night at midnight O woke, and we had hysterics and multiple wake ups over and over (like he would seem settled and asleep for 1-2 minutes then wake again). It went on for about 2 hours. Calpol helped as once it kicked in he didn't need anyone there with him to put him back to sleep. He would wake, cry out, then shuffle to sleep again! But prior to calpol it was awful! I was with him when the calpol kicked in and the change was unbelievable!

I knew he was either ill, or it was a tooth.

And this morning, we have.... THE BASTARDING TOOTH! He didn't fret over his first two which came together. But this one, he is NOT happy about! It's a top front one. It looks big though. He's currently chomping on a bickiepeg and has the rage with the world!

TheDetective · 05/09/2013 13:16

Well. We officially have a walker! Shock [shock Shock

I put him down after cleaning his face full of banana and he stood, saw the dog, and toddled off after her! A good 8 or so steps! Shock

And he keeps fecking repeating it!

Well. There we go. Nothing stopping him now. Glad I got to see his first proper steps (without encouragement!) before going back to work. :)

Brockle · 05/09/2013 13:36

why exactly are you shocked?Grin

ditsygem · 05/09/2013 13:42

Wooo det! that's our first walker isn't it? how exciting!

TheDetective · 05/09/2013 13:47

Pennies M was the first walker I think Ditsy!

I'm not sure Brockle but I am still Shock I think more at the fact he took me by surprise! With DS1 his first steps were to lots of encouragement. It was like O was flicking a V in my face and going 'don't need your encouragement, I can do it myself'!

Shame he is so grumpy with the fecking tooth though :(

ditsygem · 05/09/2013 13:54

wow, they are all growing up so quick Smile

Bryzoan · 05/09/2013 14:03

Wow det.

Had something similar on encouragement today at dd's speech therapy. We have been trying to encourage her to blow whistles for well over a year to no avail. At the end of today's session g pulled himself up to the table and just grabbed a whistle and started playing it. Not sure who's jaw hit the floor first - mine, dd's or the speech therapists. It was lovely to see in many ways but a little sad in others.

MadameGazelleIsMyMum · 05/09/2013 14:24

Wow det. And brockle, sounds like stair gates are needed!

We have a big first step - no higher but a whole raised platform if that makes sense. S is good at getting himself up and now down from it. He crawls to the edge, psychs himself up, leans forward, lets gravity do its thing, and then puts his hands out and wriggles the rest of his body down!

We are all still ill. Sad I am not at work today. I never ever have sick days. I reckon my immune system is shite due to general exhaustion. Off to drs later. Am hoping for drugs - I hate when things are viral and they can't do anything. I enjoy the comfort of modern medicine. We are supposed to fly on Saturday, just me and DH. DC staying with my parents. If they are not ill then ( and mercifully neither of them seems anything like as under the weather) I am inclined to still go, even if DH and I feel like crap. If either of them is ill we won't go. Perfect bloody timing eh?

FatimaLovesBread · 05/09/2013 15:22

Saw on FB about the walking det! Well done O!

M slept through last night!!! Shock today hamowever she hasn't napped at all. She's v cuddly and has BF loads. Not sure if it's because I'm not at work today or if she's coming down with something.
She's fed loads more than she would on a normal day at home though. As a result I've got feck all done today, in fact I'm still in my pjs.

DH has also rung to say he's working away all weekend, leaves Sat am and back Monday. All money in the pot but it means I don't get any breaks

After mourning the official death of my laptop this morning ignores fact I killed it a year ago when an expert told me it is fucked - technical term - I have accidentally bought a Mac on eBay. An oldish refurbed one at a very cheap price. But I totally didn't mean to buy it, will I ever learn not to put in silly offers? I am now ridiculously excited though at the thought of a new toy arriving tomorrow. Anyway, the demise of my laptop reminded me of you GT when you told us about your pregnancy strop, because mine died about this stage of my pregnancy last year when I lobbed it across the room at P for no reason. there probably was a reason Blush

I can't believe O is walking! Well, actually I can Wink

I am leaving P to do teatime, and possibly bedtime, tonight while I go out for my first cycle in nearly 4 years!!! I have 2.5 (pref 3) stone to lose and I am determined to do it by my birthday (April next year, I am trying to be realistic...) Anyway, my goal is to cycle over to the Edinburgh side of the river tonight. Wish me luck!!

MissMummy1 · 05/09/2013 17:24

Ohhh and I have a confirmed final interview date for my job! It isn't until October so I am glad I have plenty of time to prepare. It sounds like a perfect (if completely un-degree related) opportunity!

Bryzoan · 05/09/2013 18:15

Brilliant! Way to go mm x
