Yes, crying straight away is good. Just keep an eye. You don't need to keep her awake if it is nap time :)

He's in so much fecking trouble for it. Twat.

fruitpastilles · 31/08/2013 10:04

Phew! She has been a nap dodger the past 2 days. Trust her to go back to normal after that!

ChasingDaisy · 31/08/2013 10:17

Yep fruit I'm an expert now Hmm Crying straight away is fine. Sleepiness at usual nap time is fine Smile Just keep an eye on her.

Grrr XP has missed his train to pick O up, fucking up my morning plans. Bastards.

Chocolatestain · 31/08/2013 10:17

As a newbie I know I don't know you ladies well, but huge hugs to all of you who need them this morning. It sounds like there's a lot of really tough stuff going on out there.

On the sleep front, we were having a horrendous time and resorted to spending a small fortune on a sleep consultant. I know sleep training is a really controversial subject, but it saved our sanity and wasn't nearly as bad as I expected. After one hellish night D 'got it' and has been really good ever since. I was terrified of getting it wrong and traumatising D for life/making things worse, which is why we forked out for the consultant. If anyone wants to know what we did, feel free to PM me. I'm also happy to pass on consultants details, but realise we are in a very lucky position to be able to find the cash and that's not the case for everyone.

Bry, I noticed you have a toilet seat licker. I have one of those too. I keep coming across those 'interesting factoids' about how there are more germs in your mouth than on your toilet, so maybe we should be whipping out the disinfectant after the LOs have had a munch rather than before!

Thanks for the advice re getting smileys, I'll have a play when I have a mo.

Pikz · 31/08/2013 10:56

I'm probably being completely unreasonable.

Dp as a rule always does bath and bed. It's my 30 mins to clear up, sort stuff etc

So to put it into context he was away all last weekend jumping. Came back late Monday night. Tuesday night he went to gym, Wednesday night gym and Thursday night hockey practice so by yesterday I'm on about night 14 on my own and with 9 month regression am shattered.

Go for a half hour sports massage yesterday with 10 mins driving each way I was out of the house for 50 mins. Apparently this means I have to give dp back this time as he did it as a favour to me. It was to sort my back from rocking/ carrying etc

Am so upset. Think I'm over reacting.

Pikz · 31/08/2013 10:58

Meant to add so I apparently have to do all the bedtimes to make this up to him

MadameGazelleIsMyMum · 31/08/2013 11:06

pikz I don't think you are overreacting at all. You must desperately need a break! Where is the time you need back from his jumping weekend?

MadameGazelleIsMyMum · 31/08/2013 11:14

fruit yep, when S fell off the bed it was a pissed off, indignant, shocked instant cry but he was reasonably easily soothed.

det that's the kind of wanky behaviour I get from my DH from time to time. Not the bottles as he's pretty good on that front, but the covering up of the error, although my DH would have fibbed not owned up so at least he was honest, if a twat.

Actually DH has been fab while I have been so stressed. He's just got on with loads of stuff and kept the house running and kids looked after, all without needing to be told. Anyone who remembers my rant about DH several months ago will realise how much progress this is. He may even have earned a v. I am grateful for him and the huge effort he has been making.

fruitpastilles · 31/08/2013 11:34

pikz you aren't overreacting at all. You needing to give him that time back is ridiculous. He's not your boss, you didn't leave work early to make an appointment. You owe him nothing.

madam glad your dh is shaping up Smile

Ahh I feel a bit more reassured now thanks! She has been awake a while now and seems fine. She's currently nomming throwing on the floor cheese, cucumber, ham and crackers so normal service has resumed Grin

TheDetective · 31/08/2013 11:56

Shock Pikz he's taking the bloody piss! You must have the patience of a saint!

I'd be having very ranty and sweary harsh words with him for that.

You owe him nothing. He owes you a bucket load of time off by the sounds of it.

Madame He would usually lie. I am surprised he didn't. I think I caught him off guard as I rang his mums phone when he didn't pick up his. He can't look bad in front of mummy. Oh no. He didn't say much just yes when I asked him. Then sort of giggled and said he had to go. Hmm

Add to the charge list the fact he woke up O faffing around this morning. He slept on the sofa as he gets up at 6.30. Only at 6.45 I had to go downstairs and wake him. I said why is your phone turned off (I had tried to ring him so that I didn't have to make noise going downstairs) and he said his alarm was going off really noisily so he turned the phone off. Hmm Confused

So fed up of him sleeping in. He does it all the time. And I know why - because he stays up ridiculously late.

GTbaby · 31/08/2013 11:59

Lots of hugs needed everywhere. I've been told I'm cuddable lol. So I'm open access for cuddles x

YW that would be great! They are quite expensive. Which one is it. The organic or the more structured one? Can you pm details.

TheDetective · 31/08/2013 12:09

I am making O some pasta again for lunch (last 2 times he didn't eat it just looked at it like it was crazy stuff!) and have some sweetcorn to mix with it. But what can I put with that?!

He can't have cheese, or tomatoes. So what the feck can I do with pasta and sweetcorn?!

Brockle · 31/08/2013 12:17

tuna?

Pikz · 31/08/2013 12:19

Or flaked ham? We have just had pasta, ham, sweet corn made with some white sauce which you can use formula to make?

TheDetective · 31/08/2013 12:29

It's okay, he's currently nomming the pasta and sweetcorn like it's the best thing ever! Grin

I shall have to have a think of something to make it a little moister next time!

Glad he's managing the pasta this time!

No tuna or ham in.. we haven't got that much in tbh! Plenty of tins of tomatoes though Hmm Grin D'oh!

TheDetective · 31/08/2013 13:16

Oi Pass ya grumpy caaaaaaaaaaaah. Where the fucking fuck are you!

Get back here Grin.

fruitpastilles · 31/08/2013 13:59

Does anyone have a baby jogger city mini gt? I've been looking at them an was wondering if they are worth £300

FatimaLovesBread · 31/08/2013 15:35

Hello Fred!

I'm v behind, had a busy week at work and now feeling like I'm coming down with something so haven't had chance to catch up.

fruit I've got a bog standard BJCM and I'd quite like to upgrade to the GT. I got my BJCM for £175 though so don't know if I can justify the leap to £300. Have you shopped around? I quite fancy the Versa GT too

MissMummy1 · 31/08/2013 15:35

I have been sat in the car for 2 hours now. M and pup both asleep. I just want to cry, and I know the second I go into the house I am going to lose it. He is AWOL and I dread to think what my neighbours must be thinking Sad

Lily311 · 31/08/2013 15:50

Oh no mm. Can you take M somewhere safe first?

I have a bjcm 4wheeler. Not the gt. the bjcm is worth every penny though.

Lily311 · 31/08/2013 15:51

O has been whining all day. Fucking tooth. She is now in front of telly watching baby Einstein. For the first time ever she actually watches the sod thing.

TheDetective · 31/08/2013 15:57

Why are you sat in the car MM? :(

Lily Our day started out well. But meltdown has ensued this afternoon. No reason for it, other than the bastarding fucking dog woke him up from his nap. But he slept for over an hour. So he shouldn't be grumpy. Hmm

fruitpastilles · 31/08/2013 16:00

Thanks fatima and lily I have 2 to sell but the money from those also has to buy the next stage car seat, so I'm just trying to talk dp into letting me get one, but he's not going for it. He says, quite rightly, that there is nothing wrong with the one we have.

mm take no notice of the neighbours, they are the least of your worries. X

TheDetective · 31/08/2013 16:14

What one do you have fruit?

fruitpastilles · 31/08/2013 16:38

To sell? I have a silver cross 3d with the car seat and isofix base, that's the one we bought new but I hate it with a passion. Then I got a mamas and papas sola off eBay for £50 which I'm using now, so will sell that too.
