Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

It is very uncomfy at this late stage. I remember it well. Hope you get to sleep soon x

J is finally asleep on his changing mat on the floor in the lounge. We did co-sleep for the first 12 weeks only. It would not work now and the risk of vomit is too high too. I will try to nap on the sofa. Thankfully DH is off tomorrow so I will be able to sleep then. I must admit I have been quite worried about him tonight so will go to GP tomorrow. Poor wee lamb.

GTbaby · 28/08/2013 03:30

Nn vq. I'm putting down MN in the hope I fall asleep with boredom.

ValiumQueen · 28/08/2013 04:16

He slept all of 10 minutes. Just taken 3oz and asleep on me. I will wake DH at 5.30 if I can last that long.

ValiumQueen · 28/08/2013 05:22

Just woke DH to take over. J still very hot and sad. DH asked for a minute. I said no as he would fall asleep again. He said he would not. I have shared a bed with him for 10 years so I know! He is up. He is not happy. I am going to try to catch a few winks. Not easy when I can hear J crying Hmm

Lily311 · 28/08/2013 06:16

Hugs vq. O has just woken up, it's an an hour ahead of UK time. She has gained speed overnight! Fuck!

ValiumQueen · 28/08/2013 07:34

Thank you Lily. I got a couple of hours. J is still measuring 39.5 Hmm

Sorry you had such a rough night VQ. The double misery of sleep deprivation and worrying over a poorly baby is a killer. Hope J perks up today.

Christmas shopping already - you ladies are so organised. I'm a bit if a last-minute panic Amazon trawler.

D developed a new skill this morning. He turned the telly on and found the CBeebies channel (not what DH and I had it tuned into last night I can assure you). I have a highly advanced, 9 month old telly addict, I'm such a proud mummy! (His other very advanced skill, according to the milestones charts, was playing with his genitalia at a very young age.)

TheDetective · 28/08/2013 10:37

Grin Chocolatestain that's frickin' awesome!

VQ :( Fuck me. When will it end for you? :( Biscuit Biscuit Biscuit Biscuit Biscuit Biscuit Biscuit Biscuit Biscuit Biscuit in fact, a whole packet of them for your Brew. :)

TheDetective · 28/08/2013 10:39

You know I said I'd probably cursed myself talking about sleep the other day? Yeah? Well. I did.

What a dickhead.

5am start, and shitty fucking napping going on here.

We have had baba, mama, gaga, and hiya plus standing up and then clapping himself for doing it. Plus his wicked mischievous face as he stood there so very pleased.

And it's 9 month sleep regression territory. Hmm

So I'm blaming everything else Grin.

MissMummy1 · 28/08/2013 11:14

Hi chocstain

Just more hugs VQ

GT I still cannot get my head around the fact you are 36 weeks!!!!!

We had a rubbish night but I don't feel like I can complain as DP was fab and made bottles while I fed her etc. He also let me lie in till 10am Shock. So now I am mooching around my kitchen making bacon and pancakes. Grin

He finally had his MRI yesterday - I don't think I said before but the reason he couldn't have it at his first appointment is he had failed to mention beforehand he has shotgun shrapnel in one eye so had to wait for xrays etc first. He also has a shiny new job being the boss of everyone on the river that his bosses have negotiated for him as he is not allowed back to sea for the foreseeable. Thank fuck, savings run out next week.

RE xmas/birthdays I have bought a few bits and pieces and the main 'big things' when I had more cash.

MissMummy1 · 28/08/2013 11:34

Oh and I meant to post my bargain last night! In tesco with the sleep dodger. Using our store's new 'scan and shop' thingy - basically you scan and pack your shoppig as you go round then just dock the machine and pay at the end I am easily amused okay Grin . Anyway, stage 3 EK tomato and veg pasta pouches, reduced to £1.60. Just those ones. Scanned them and they came through at 42p!! So I bet the last 7. Blush She better bloody like them or we will be eating them Hmm

MissMummy1 · 28/08/2013 11:34

bet? bought

GTbaby · 28/08/2013 11:52

QQ does ikea have baby food heat facility?

ValiumQueen · 28/08/2013 12:07

Yes

ValiumQueen · 28/08/2013 12:08

A quick answer for you GTSmile

GTbaby · 28/08/2013 15:00

Thanks VQ. I looked online and could see any info. And knew the quiche would know the answer!

Lo is all fed and is napping in his pram! First time in ages we have managed that. And we are sat in pizza express yum yum Grin

Bryzoan · 28/08/2013 16:53

Grin chocs, my g is also very good at grabbing his todge. Gets down there like lightening as soon as the nappy is off. Amazing reflexes...

I am thinking of inventing a baby straight jacket. Keeping him on his mat while I change a dirty nappy is becoming nigh on impossible. He is strong now and determined to parade his soiled nether regions around the bedroom. Not good.

Sorry for your awful night vq. Hope j is better today and / or you made it to the docs.

Woah gt - 36 weeks already?!? Loads of luck. You will know when you are in labour - and you will be brilliant. Looking forward to reading a beautiful birth story - I am feeling strangely jealous!

Mm your tesco shop sounds a bit like making a John Lewis wedding list!

Chocolatestain · 28/08/2013 17:48

Ah, but the joy of a John Lewis wedding list is that other people pay (and you get a free cuppa - I love John Lewis).

I'll be first in line for the baby strait jacket when you've invented it, Bryzoan. I'm actually quite relieved when D goes for a todge fondle during a nappy change as at least it holds his attention or a while - as long as I'm nifty enough with the wet wipes to wipe the poo off before he gets his hands on it.

Hope J is feeling better today, VQ, and you all get a better night.

ChasingDaisy · 28/08/2013 19:41

FFS. Oscar won't go to fucking sleep. Been trying for over an hour. He never does this. My back can't cope and I'm about to lose it so I've left him pissing about in his cot.

Bryzoan · 28/08/2013 19:55

Same here chasing. Dd is in her room behind a stair gate noisily chanting "down down down" and I am smiling because she has at least found her voice a bit even if it is noisy and monotonous. G is wriggling and whinging, refusing feeds but trying to bite my t shirt and being a general pickle. He is doing loads at the moment but sleep is sooo uncool as far as he is concerned. Ach - I am starting to believe in that 9 month sleep regression.

Bryzoan · 28/08/2013 19:56

And I want a lift for his cot. Getting him in and out is a killer. Has anyone ever designed a cot that is not back breaking?

Brockle · 28/08/2013 19:57

I absolutely believe in 9 month sleep regression, as does Yousef who is wide awake and blowing me kisses!

ChasingDaisy · 28/08/2013 20:01

I am a new convert to the 9 month sleep regression. O is 9 months today Hmm Finally in bed, thank fuck.

I miss PR

Sophiathesnowfairy · 28/08/2013 20:17

Same here chasing O has a little cold which has resulted in a tickley cough and every time he drops off the cough wakes him. Usually I get him up and let him play when this happens, but we are knacked, so I am playing hardball. And just as I write this it seems to be working. He has just had a coughing incident and not gone ballistic.

I JUST WANT TO FIND THE BOX WITH MY SLIPPERS IN

(Our floor downstairs in concrete and we can't have it tiled till .october when it dries out so my feet are freezio. (We have had it sealed to keep out the dust)
