Pass lol. Funny how babies grab food?!?

I am 36 weeks. It's only just hit me that its only 2weeks till the point at which I had DS1.

Shall I do a live birth thread? I remember lo was one of the first babies, and I didn't want to write to much as I didn't want to freak other 1st time mums out. Lol.

I'm getting really nervous. I was induced last time so don't really know what it's like. And my blood tests for OC are coming back clear... So now I'm scared I won't be induced, so worried about how I know I'm in labour, what does a mucus plug look like, what does a contraction feel like?
I've kinda packed my hospital bag. Well I have a big carrier bag which I'm chucking things in as I remember them. But have just written a list of things I need to add. Which ill do tomorrow as I think the panic has set in Confused now. However will not pack as much as i did last time. Lol

Oh crap. In having another baby.

BigPigLittlePig · 27/08/2013 22:00

GT Grin And I shall put some fizzy Wine to chill for when it's all over.

Kyz · 27/08/2013 22:03

bplp he was only having a couple of oz after lunch so I was going to drop it, but the past two days he's not eaten lunch well but drank the bottle which threw me a bit! Which is why I'm not sure what to do for the best

gt gosh really not long now! You'll know, it fucking hurts!

Pikz · 27/08/2013 22:06

Arrrghhhh just got into bed and can hear him stirring. Please self settle. Please.

GT can't believe the time is nearly here!!!

TheDetective · 27/08/2013 22:11

GT It is likely it will be easier this time. Well, quicker at least Grin.

I still can't believe people are having babies! Grin

I'm definitely waiting forever.

Do a live birth thread. But can you make it in the next 3 weeks please?! So I don't have to go to the loo at work to get an update!

No bomb dropping noises here Grin. Actually, that's not true. When he has a nappy on, he makes a right old straining noise. Given the Gaviscon. Minus the nappy - deadly silent. Fucker!

Kyz Glad E likes ham! O refused the egg I made him for lunch today. So he got a breadstick (of which I don't know who got more, him or the dog) and a small fruit pot. He's a big boy. I'm not worried if he takes small amounts. I worry if he takes too much Grin.

I must take him to be weighed this week. He suddenly feels very very heavy, and his tummy has gone podgy!

Oh! We tried the plan today - of giving half a bottle in his sippy in the morning, with the other half on his breakfast. It did not go well. He cried like crazy in between every mouthful of breakfast, because he had heard the fridge open, and the bottle be prepared Hmm. The bottle was demanded....

ChasingDaisy · 27/08/2013 22:23

Yay to moving babies! As F and O are both a week older than my O I shall be baby-proofing my new place as soon as I move in!

GT you're 36 weeks?! Shock Yes to live birth thread! I think 9 months is enough time to have lapsed for us to be able to re-live our labours without being traumatised Grin You seem to be coping remarkably well, I really love your attitude to life Smile Speaking of which, 9 months ago today O was 2 hours away from being born and I had a fucking ace epidural so was happy as larrySmile

Tonight I have been the subject of one of 'those' FB statuses. You know, the passive aggressive 'X has really pissed me off but I won't mention their name or dare say it to their face' type status. So I commented on it acting all oblivious and pretending to be very concerned about her. Stoopid cowbag.

Chiropractor was ace. He realigned my pelvis Hmm Apparently common in ex horse riders, of which I am one. He also did some work on my jaw/neck/shoulder tension and I had some acupuncture. Was so relaxing that I nearly fell asleep. The chiropractor has two half Chinese kids too so O was a big hit.

ChasingDaisy · 27/08/2013 22:24

Det O drops food to the dog too. Best thing ever here!

Kirrin · 27/08/2013 22:30

Hi chocolate :)

Yuck detective You need the jet wash on standby!

cuddles to L and J - hope they and you are doing ok Pikz and VQ*

Kyz N had a couple of days like that last week - she'd eat easy sweet stuff like yogurt but if it had even a hint of a lump she didn't want to know. She was a bit snotty, but nothing major, but it must have been that as she is now back to wolfing down anything she's given. Try not to stress about it too much - easier said than done I know.

please do a live birth thread GT :) I can't believe you're so close.

I hate those FB statuses chasing - has she responded?!

N had her first proper tantrum today. She took one of DD1's toys and was in serious danger of hitting herself in the face with it so I took it off her - absolute meltdown. It was like her little world had caved in. She was really cross Grin

ChasingDaisy · 27/08/2013 22:37

kirrin we had a similar meltdown over blueberries today Grin

Chocolatestain · 27/08/2013 22:38

Thank you for your welcomes and hope everyone has a good night.
Detyour poo story had me in creases. An open tube of foundation is the worst D has had in his mouth so far, but you've filled me with dread for what may yet happen!

PurplePidjin · 27/08/2013 22:42

R has fallen in love with Grampy's apples from the tree in the garden, but shop ones have to be pureed Hmm i cut into quarters, core, halve the quarter, peel, halve again. They're tiny so one slice is about 2 mouthfuls.

It's his christening in 2 1/2 weeks. I think I'm doing it wrong. MIL has made the cake. My aunt is going to decorate it. My gran is making a lemon drizzle for the ones who don't like fruit cake. My mum's doing sandwiches and quiche. All i have to do is show up with baby, fetch MIL the day before and possibly pick a friend up before the service Confused aren't these things meant to be mega stressful? There's 30 ish people coming!

Kirrin · 27/08/2013 22:47

chasing Did he go all red and cute looking Grin

izzybizzybuzzybees · 27/08/2013 23:23

Hiya.

Welcome choc. We've went for pouches, hope I'm taking enough. J has only started solids in the last week or two! Many issues going on.

I have a hair appt tomorrow for cut and colour! Di looking forward to it, it's in a fancy aveda salon!

TheDetective · 27/08/2013 23:49

My head is overloaded with shit.

Not actual shit. I'll leave that in the domain of my son... Hmm

I can't switch off. Hmm

I'm currently looking for christmas presents for the entire family...

I just found this, might be of use for someone?! www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/3653296.htm

Also reserved some soft skittles from Argos for £2.99.

ValiumQueen · 27/08/2013 23:54

I have been meaning to suggest that very thing for you Det. I too am Christmas shopping and now have all 98 of DD1s ruddy books. Shame she earlier said she was going off them, after reading 30 odd! Rainbow fucking Magic!

J asleep on my chest. Multiple failed transfers already Sad

TheDetective · 27/08/2013 23:56

Crazy christmas shopping ladies...! Grin

Great minds eh Wink

Go in your cot J, or FC won't come!

Did it work?!

ValiumQueen · 28/08/2013 00:07

It did work thank you Grin not sure how long for though so I am going to attempt sleep. In my bed.

My mum has given J a vintage push along/ride on horsey and it is divine Smile Js preferred position is standing as of a couple of days ago so it will come in handy and with DD2 sitting on it, it should not run away from him.

Sweet dreams all x

TheDetective · 28/08/2013 00:15

Run like the wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiind VQ!

ValiumQueen · 28/08/2013 00:17

And you go the fuck to sleep too Detective Grin Dream of sale shopping with a wad of someone else's cash.

TheDetective · 28/08/2013 00:21

My Dad's cash. Grin

All of it.

Grin
StuntNun · 28/08/2013 01:48

Welcome Choc.

I took the three boys to the zoo today so we had a good day out apart from the rain.

I told DS1 and DS2 that Tuesday was the last day of the school holidays and tomorrow is back to school. It isn't at all, school doesn't start until Thursday. So I'm going to wake then up tomorrow and tell them they actually have one more day of holiday! What would you do with an extra day of holiday?

GT all three of my deliveries were wildly different in terms of knowing they were starting, the amount of pain, the type of pain relief I used, etc. so try not to get too hung up on what happened with H as this one may be completely different. You may want to decide what you want regarding sweeps and internals seeing as that was an issue for you last time. I'm sure you will find things a lot easier with having your babies so close together. I found Juju Sunjin's Birth Skills very useful for labour but I know it's a bit woo for some people.

ValiumQueen · 28/08/2013 02:16

1.5 hours and now vomit and a temp of over 39. Bugger

GTbaby · 28/08/2013 02:23

Thanks stunt. Will add that to my list at the library.

VQ oh no! Has he been unwell all day? Sry haven't read back far.

ValiumQueen · 28/08/2013 02:46

Yes. He was meant to be having another intro at nursery but was up last night from 2.15 after only sleeping 3 hours. He was shattered and very grumpy this morning, and woke from his nap with a fever at 2pm. He is asleep now on me and has so far kept PCM down, and that is bringing his temp down slowly. In the last two nights I have had about 4.5 hours sleep in total.

Is it the inside baby or the outside baby keeping you awake GT?

GTbaby · 28/08/2013 03:08

VQ hope your sleeping now. I don't recall are you co sleeping? Or could you? So you can snooze between checking on him?

It's inside baby keeping me awake. Or it could be the ice cream I are. Or my snoring fh....
