Thank you everyone, I feel like I have a bunch of big sisters looking out for me Smile Slowly is the name of the game and luckily he seems to have the same approach. I am determined that me and O will have a life that functions independently of any man.

Off to my dad's chiropractor today to see if he can do anything for my back pain and cricked neck.

fruitpastilles · 27/08/2013 08:51

Morning all! Haven't posted for a few days, we are in regression hell. I think it's that coupled with teething (we still have none) and to be honest it's just been a shitty few days and I'm expecting it to last a while.

Just wanted to say

bryz sorry I'm a bit late on this one, but IMO you have done the right thing for R by making that decision. You will never get this time back, and for you to be there to help her in any way you can will be such a massive help with her development in itself.

chasing glad the date went well. He sounds like a lovely guy, I hope things continue to go well, oooh and how exciting to be getting the keys!

sophia you sound like Wonder Woman. I don't know how you are fitting it all in, exciting times for you aswell. Bet you can't wait to just be in the new house now though can you?

stunt I hope today is a bit better for you.

vq glad J's skin has cleared up, fingers crossed you have found the trigger now. Sorry you had a bad night last night though.

BrewBrewBrew To all those needing them. I'll be having a few strong ones myself today! I'll try and keep up with this thread a bit better.

Oooh and my cousin is 5 weeks pregnant, I told her about MN and then felt sorry that she will be on the April 14 thread, not the quiche.

Pikz · 27/08/2013 09:16

Pooooooo everywhere. Poor sausage. Upset tummy from everything. I feel can just smell poo everywhere.

Just got him down to sleep so shall start the mass of washing!

Brew To all.

Chocolatestain · 27/08/2013 09:45

Hi, I'm fairly new to MN and have just found this thread. Do you mind if I join you? DS (Daniel) is 9 months today.
Izzy, we took pouches for our holiday in France recently and they worked really well. Plum and Ella's Kitchen do them (personally I prefer Plum because their flavours are more like things I cook and they seem to have more veg in, but that's just me). The ingredients lists are quite simole so easy to check for allergens. D will happily eat them at room temp which is really handy when out and about. Usually either Boots or one or more of the supermarkets will have some kind of multi-buy offer on them.

Chocolatestain · 27/08/2013 09:46
  • sorry, that's a simple ingredients list!
Kyz · 27/08/2013 09:58

Morning all, hope everyone had a good night?

Before I start, yesterday at lunchtime E wouldn't eat anything at all hardly. He hasn't done this for ages and it made me really nervous. What would I have done if he did it at tea time when he doesn't take milk now? I was about to drop that lunchtime bottle given that he takes 1-3 oz most days now after lunch, but now I daren't. Teatime, he doesn't have a bottle. What on earth are you supposed to do when they're not on as much milk but then don't want the solids? It has made me really nervous again now. We were doing so well too. I do think it was teeth related, or something, I gave calpol about an hour before he had tea and he ate that fine and most of it was finger food. Lunch was a sandwhich and he has eaten all/almost all the two previous times i've given sarnies.

Anyway, enough about me.....

Daisy well done to H that's loads to do at once bless him!

Gah I have only just settled myself on oz, why do they not tell you how much calcium they need instead? At least you can bloody add up calcium cos of it being in yoghurts etc. Or is it because it's different for every baby? Any idea how to work out how much they need?

moaning is ok sophia i am surprised you're still sane, i'd be sat rocking in a corner trying to organise/do what you're doing atm! Madness!

Glad your hols are good YW :)

Det you've lost loads, you're doing brill!

izzy sorry for the shitty nights still :( Wish I had some advice :(

lily that sucks :(

chasing date went brilliantly then Grin! And woohooo nearly new flat time!!! Glad O is back to eating solids too :)

stunt a shitty day indeed :( hugs

go to the doctors eliza bless you, you sound quite poorly

sounds like a lovely wedding apple :)

eek Brew for the bad nights :( seems there were a few of them

congrats to your cousin fruit :) sorry about the regression :(

eek pikz that does not sound pretty!

hey choc welcome to the quiche :)

Right, best get my arse in gear, got loads of shizzle to do, ugh

fruitpastilles · 27/08/2013 10:17

kyz I'd try not to worry too much, E will take what he needs.

Hey choc welcome to the quiche Smile

applepieinthesky · 27/08/2013 10:35

Welcome choc Smile

It's my last day at home today so im feeling a bit down. Back to work 4 days per week from tomorrow. There have been tears already this morning. I'm still contemplating being a sahm but will give it a couple of months and see how it goes. One thing which will make it easier is it's payday tomorrow. My first proper pay packet this year and it can't come soon enough.

Sorry to hear some have been having bad nights. Us included. C had no teeth for 9 months then 2 appeared in the last two weeks and another 2 on their way. All at the top in the middle, he looks so funny Grin It's meant plenty of sleepless nights and that combined with me returning to work is not going to be fun!

ValiumQueen · 27/08/2013 11:04

Hi Choc Smile Loving the name! (Wonders if ShitStain has been taken, although Pikz may be more deserving of that today)

J has just settled. He was inconsolable and refused any solids. I think it is teeth making everything else worse. His skin has flared up again! And he has had no soya except what is in the formula. Maybe I should ask for AA.

Lily311 · 27/08/2013 11:20

Welcome choc

kyz I always think and say that there are days I don't want to eat anything, even without reason so babies might be the same. O had very little lunch today but I'm sure she will eat more at dinner time. I don't worry but than I have a chubby baby.

O is 9 months and 1 week old and started commando crawling yesterday. I'm so proud :). Finally I have a mover!

GTbaby · 27/08/2013 11:32

Argh such a bad night. Me not the lo. Sick of not being able to sleep. Sick of not being comfortable.
Getting that constant ache feeling in my tummy now. And feeling generally shit.
Snapping at FH this morning. Luckily he is being nice.
Lo has gone down for a nap now n all I want to do is sit. But got his food to prep.

Sry me me me post but in feeling shit and self indulging.

Moan over.

Elizadoesdolittle · 27/08/2013 12:14

Been to docs. As well as conjunctivitis I also have a throat infection. I have antibiotics and eye ointment now so hopefully it will clear up nice and quickly. Thanks for all your well wishes. DD1 is currently on her 2nd Disney film of the day. Think there will be more to come once Cinderella is finished!

ValiumQueen · 27/08/2013 13:57

Hugs to Elisa and GT x

J woke with a fever. Bollocks.

Pikz · 27/08/2013 14:09

Posted on fb too as here was so quiet. How long do you leave diahorrea/upset stomach before ringing GP. It's been 24 hours.

Another day, another escapade. Hmm

And I can't believe this happened again!!!!!!!

O had a shower after his nap as he woke very sweaty and stinky.

Brought him downstairs to dry him after the shower. Just as I get down here, the phone rings. It's my GP ringing for my telephone consultation appointment early Hmm. So I'm distracted for a couple of minutes.

I look up and can't see O well through the dining room table, but I see his fingers, poking some sort of brown object on the floor.

Yes. Poo. AGAIN. This time, it's worse. IT'S IN HIS MOUTH.

I just died a little inside. He has truly revolted me. Envy

ValiumQueen · 27/08/2013 17:58

Hi Pikz how are things? Hopefully you got answers on FB. So long as little one is weeing ok then I tend not to worry too much. It depends if there is vomiting and a fever to go with it. Keep feeding but just milk and water. If worried or more than 48 hours I would get them checked unless it could be teeth. Teething always gives my babies the squits.

ValiumQueen · 27/08/2013 17:59

Pennie I am glad she is doing ok. I am watching J carefully in case he has it as there is a fever of no known origin.

ValiumQueen · 27/08/2013 18:00

Detective. Mmm lovely Grin

Lily311 · 27/08/2013 18:00

I'm speechless det. Not sure if its funny in a way or disgusting.

My monkey found the napkins cause she is on the move and ripped all of them apart. Clever girl. Not so clever mummy for leaving them on bottom shelf.

Tomorrow my mum has O. I have hairdresser and beautician appointment. Very much needed.

TheDetective · 27/08/2013 18:05

One thing is for sure, I am not kissing him every again!

Your turn to baby proof lily! I am looking forward to hearing what other quiche babies get up to on their travels Wink.

VQ Poor J. Hope it's nothing nasty. Or another tooth for that matter?!

BigPigLittlePig · 27/08/2013 18:17

Det I just literally LOLd, F gave me a look as if to say, what's up with you? I didn't tell her, don't want her getting ideas!

Oh vq your poor poor boy. It seems to be every week he's poorly, it's so unfair Sad.

Welcome choc

Pennie I'm glad to hear LO is doing better now, must be such a relief.

GT have you packed your hospital bag yet? I'm v excited for you, as I wasn't on MN when all our babies were being born - so your ds2 will be the first quiche baby for me, if that makes sense...

Manic day today, not over yet. Lily I think I need to babyproof imminently too, am not ready for a mover! Help!

Lily311 · 27/08/2013 19:04

I don't want to baby proof, wah wah wah. I want a non moving baby. I said no hundred times today. It's pretty awesome how fast they learn, I mean she was sitting down yesterday and crawled across the room today.
