Bit of a faff, Pass? Remove power cable. Produce list of chores each with a value in minutes - eg pair all family socks 30 minutes, clean teeth 5 minutes (monopoly money is good if you cba to make tokens). Tokens may be exchanged 4-5:30 week days and 10-5:30 weekends. Failure to hand cable back at end of time means tokens will not be accepted for 24 hours. 48 for 2nd offence, 72 for 3rd etc.

Not sure how easy this is as a parent but works bloody well in residential school :o

Sophiathesnowfairy · 26/08/2013 21:33

A pair. Obviously. I do not know what a park of Tesco grey skinnies could be. More than 5 pairs?

Sophiathesnowfairy · 26/08/2013 21:35

Waffle.

PurplePidjin · 26/08/2013 21:35

In a freezer bag, Sophia, one of the ziploc type. Or maintain a "You shouldn't have driven me to such desperate measures" attitude if it doesn't survive?

ChasingDaisy · 26/08/2013 21:35

sophia funnily enough I would describe my current mood as nervously excited Grin
Smile Confused

pig I remember that thread Smile stunt is there anywhere outdoors you can take them to let off steam? Also, Sad about DP.

PurplePidjin · 26/08/2013 21:36

Did i mention I've only done this with a lot of back up, on kids that i don't have to live with, Sophia :o

StuntNun · 26/08/2013 21:37

A Crunchie Blast makes everything all better. Apart from the diet obviously. It's not my fault, it was the only egg-free treat in the house.

Passmethecrisps · 26/08/2013 21:43

What is a crunchie blast? It sounds delicious. I think I have to have one.did I mention that DH was worried I might be pregnant? Is this the time to work that?

StuntNun · 26/08/2013 21:44

Did I mention that I got stung my a wasp today? The horrid little fucker was inside my shirt sleeve. Cue much howling and crying from me way to set a good example for the kids.

And DH's car cost £1,060 to fix. ConfusedConfusedConfused

Seriously not a good day today.

Thanks daisy we have been there twice before. Bil parents own a cottage there and kindly let us use it. Lovely part of the country. Very rainy though!

I've spent the day on the sofa feeling like crap. DH took DD1 out and the pil had Ella so I was able to veg out. Still free awful though. Off to drs for me tomorrow!

I won't type more as the screen is hurting my eyes so ill bid you all goodnight and hope there are lots of sleeping babies x

StuntNun · 26/08/2013 21:45

It's an ice cream Pass, honeycomb ice cream covered with chocolate and popping candy pieces.

OP posts:
BigPigLittlePig · 26/08/2013 21:46

Ouch stunt

Pass what what!? Why did dh think this? Is it true?!?!

Passmethecrisps · 26/08/2013 21:47

Sad *eliza. Get yerself to the docs!

That sounds awful awful awful stunt. I have been very lucky and never been stung by wasp or bee. I still panicked when a lazy looking wasp buzzed round p who was literally covered in fruit the other day. Cue me trying to be all relaxed while she is teaching out trying to touch it.

Does it still hurt? I'll bet the car repair bill still does though

Passmethecrisps · 26/08/2013 21:49

Drunken shagging BP. No need for excitement though as I am currently enjoying a period. I did laugh this morning though when I complained of stomach pains and he said "it's not your uterus is it?"

daisychain76 · 26/08/2013 21:58

Ooh, l love Crunchie Blasts and hide the packet in the back of the freezer so dcs can?t get them

Kirrin · 26/08/2013 22:04

Half a stone a month may feel slow detective but added together its great! you've done brilliantly :)

Sorry you had such a bad night MM and izzy And good that you're on the waiting list izzy Is leaving your job something you could/would do?

date sounds good chasing and yay yay yay for the keys to the flat - what an exciting week you have ahead :)

stunt sounds like a crap evening :( Sounds very stressful. I agree with pass re the computer games.

Hope you're feeling better soon eliza Thanks

I lifted N out of the car seat today and there was a dead wasp stuck in her hair Shock I can only assume she squashed it and its lucky she didn't get stung.

ValiumQueen · 26/08/2013 22:51

The boy has just fallen asleep.

Night night ladies and DaddyQuiche x

izzybizzybuzzybees · 26/08/2013 23:06

Thanks everyone. The waiting list is 4-6 weeks!

As for my job there isn't really an alternative. We can't afford for me not to work and there isn't really anything else I can do in my field. Patients are heavy, trolleys and wheelchairs containing patients are heavy, the equipment is heavy... Can you see a theme??

I'm screwed!

applepieinthesky · 26/08/2013 23:23

Hi quiche. Haven't logged on for a few days as its been a busy weekend here. It was my auntie's wedding Saturday. She cried the whole way through the service as did most of the women. Seeing my 84 year old grandad walk her down the aisle on his walking stick bless him was too much. Then today we had a BBQ for her new inlaws who are returning home to Barbados tomorrow. I've never known a BBQ like it though, was supposed to start at 2 but most of them didn't show until 5 Shock Grin

chasing Glad to hear everything is going well. It sounds very promising but I too would urge a bit of caution. One step at a time. If he's as great as he sounds then he won't mind going at your pace and taking it slow.

stunt That sounds delish!

Sorry to hear of your problem izzy. Not sure what to suggest sorry. Can your employer not make adjustments for you or are those things non-negotiable in your role?

ValiumQueen · 27/08/2013 04:12

Aww Apple that wedding sounds delightful Smile

Been awake with a snotty angry baby since 2.15, so nearly 2 hours. Grr!

ChasingDaisy · 27/08/2013 05:29

Oscar is 9 months old tomorrow and appears to be celebrating by starting the 9 month sleep regression Hmm Hmm

ValiumQueen · 27/08/2013 05:34

Oops Chasing.

J is 10 months and is still in it seemingly. He has been awake since 2.15 and will settle on me but nowhere else. Has had bottle but made no difference. DH wakes at 5.30 anyway and I heard him pottering so said it was time to swap. He is not happy. Concerned he will fall asleep with him. FFS. Fucking men. Grr. Anyway, back in bed but girls will be up imminently. Seems futile but need to make a point if nothing else.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 27/08/2013 06:20

Hope you catch a few zzzzzz vq will bring you Brew and poached eggs around 7.

O has is top teeth sneaking out, and a cold it seems. He would not settle till about 9 ish last night and then was grumbling from 5:30. Not too bad I know, just unusual for him.

Bryzoan · 27/08/2013 07:10

Oh dear. Sorry to hear about your day stunt - hope the sting is feeling better. And your work problem izzy - guess you will just have to talk to them and see what they say? You have to put your health first I think.

Chasing - boo to regression, yay that things are going well for you otherwise - hope the move goes well - but I'm going to echo the appeal to take things s l o w l y - I think it is really important you build confidence that you and o are fundamentally ok on your own - even though it is not what you want for yourselves long term.

Vq - sending your dh a fish pie - which is a cross between the quiche fish and a custard pie. Buck up your ideas please mr. Hope you did get some sleep in the end vq.

Love the sound of the wedding apple.

Sorry to heat pr is taking some time out. Will miss her..

ValiumQueen · 27/08/2013 07:31

Thank you for the Brew and eggs Sophia, and the fish pie Bry Grin I got a bit of sleep and feel like I have been run over.
