Sometimes people do. But that's not why anyone medical does it!

Anyhoo.

Music, ummmm. I have eclectic tastes. Love a song by Avicii at the mo, not sure what it's called.

Currently have two non-sleeping 5 year olds upstairs. Thanks dh for suggesting a sleepover Hmm - apparently they have both, simultaneously, had a dreadful nightmare which could only be corrected by reading a science encyclopedia in bed together Grin

BP what a day for you. Yours must be one if not the most demanding job going.

Yeay for E kyz. Possible future mountaineering hobby?!

Bry only just. read but FWIW it sounds lie the right decision. l gave up on a demanding but rewarding career after having ds1. I miss it sometimes but l know l made the right decision. If you think its the best thing. for your dcs l don?t think it can be wrong. Plus over time l have found work that l can do at home in evenings which is rewarding in its own right, but not something l?d have considered previously.

pr you may find your LO is calmer at nursery. Dd waas and still is a bit of a handful at home but by all accounts has alwaays been a moddel student at nursery and school!

gt l love a proper ?couurtship?.

pass not these dicks.

Anyway pig am not squeamish but the whole emotion side of medecine would be impossible for me. My gastro consultant when I saw him the other day said 'I remember you, all the icu nurses were crying. I told them you'd pull through, but you were so determined to leave I never thought you'd come back for a check up' then laughed, a real belly laugh, and said 'but here you are. They always come back.' which was a little Hmm but sweet that he remembered, and was a nice reminder that even the ancient hardened consultants do care, in their own way.

Another 30 odd miles on the clock and she is asleep. Thank fuck.

BP I couldn't do your job. I just couldn't.

I have just turned the news on to see yet another super puma has ditched in the north sea. 3 missing, I cannot begin to imagine the turmoil of their loved ones tonight. I moved to Aberdeen in 2009, the year of the super puma disaster, and did my first teaching placement in a class in which 4 kids lost a parent in the crash. It was horrific. But also, heart warming to see such a big city come together in a time of need as a community. I digress, I am not religious in any shape or form but my prayers are with those missing tonight Sad.

There seem to be so many nasty accidents this year. Helicopters, planes and trains. It must be every year but maybe we're more attuned to it now.

Night quiche. Hope you all get some sleep.

PR my DD1 is 2.8 and we have had a lot of the same sort of behaviour, though it seems to be settling a bit now. When she's playing nice she is awesome, but when she is bad she is truly awful - kicking the dogs and pulling their ears, pulling N's hair, completely ignoring any thing I say etc etc etc. she can drive me to tears and then I feel guilty for wishing it was a nursery day. But slowly slowly the good days are starting to outnumber the bad.

I'm ok thanks Kyz apart from an attack of the black dog. Fog seems to be lifting a bit now though.

Speaking of dogs, how cute is Aulay?! Glad he's settling in well MM

QQ. Has anyone ever beaten Luis at WWF? Or if not, had less than 100 points score difference at the end?

There was a little girl, who had a little curl, right in the middle of her forehead. When she was good she was very good indeed, but when she was bad she was horrid...

I've beaten Luis once at WWF PR after several defeats. It can be done if he gets really bad letters.

I always find it funny how often I am thinking of something to do with L and then I see the quiche has been discussing exactly that topic.

In this case it was whether to buy L a doll in case he is interested. If he had an older sister I'd have no qualms about him playing with their toys & in general I actively encourage gender neutrality but because 'girls stuff' is all pink/glitter/princesses it is harder to buy that stuff for a boy - whereas I'd be happy for a DD to wear boys clothes or play with dinosaurs, cars etc. Additionally he hasn't shown any interest in soft toy characters, he is more interested in things he can do something with: stacking rings, turning pages, pressing buttons, making noise. So I don't want to buy a doll just for the sake of it if he's not interested. Hmm.
