Det i still natter to R, just have to crane my neck or buy an old granny compact mirror! I can carry him for hours on my back, just like hiking with a rucksack Hmm

Get off of farcebook, Chasing!

TheDetective · 22/08/2013 20:46

What about something like this Kyz? It attaches to chair, but has a 5 point harness. :)

BigPigLittlePig · 22/08/2013 20:51

Oh dear oh dear.

What a day for the poor quiche, quichelets and quichelet-mindees.

BUT HELLOOOOO KISA! Am vair excited for updates on this situation chasing.

Det poor O, I hope he's ok now. Vom sounds, er, fucking awful unpleasant. A very quick reaction to whatever it was he ate though. Could he have picked up a bug, and the food thing be a red herring/coincidence?

Pidj and izzy I hope the little men behave tonight.

Pass how scary. I bet the witch cm would have thrown F on the floor as a cushion Hmm

As it is thankful Thursday, and we appear to have forgotten, amidst the horrors of the day, I am thankful for the good health of my precious baby, and the way that she lights up my world.

Sorry for sopiness blame the period, first in 18 months or more

PetiteRaleuse · 22/08/2013 20:56

DH says it's full moon. I haven't checked but I do remember a month or so ago noticing we all had bad days at full moon.

TheDetective · 22/08/2013 20:57

They are both offline now Grin.

DP's sister keeps texting me. I am getting the rage when I see it is her, and not chasing!!

Will try a back one tomorrow as I am going bowling. I will have people to help me get him on as we are going in the car, so can't put him up at home. Can you recommend a youtube vid?

I feel very bad - everyone was so distracted by the sling at baby group today that we ALL forgot to pay at the end Shock. There are about 10 messages on FB from people apologising for forgetting to pay! Plus O pushed his little friend right in to the floor earlier. So I am feeling triple bad but I know he will get O back next time!!

There was much fighting and squabbling over one toy from O and the older babies today! Grin It was like a tambourine with beads inside that you smacked. I must find one. It kept them VERY busy!

I might have to go back to candy crush to fill some time now. I have nothing to fill my evening with Grin.

TheDetective · 22/08/2013 20:59

Shall we go back and check PR? I have nothing better to do Grin.

BP Unlikely. He hasn't been around anyone with a bug. And it seems to have all subsided. If he is very clingy tomorrow, it wouldn't surprise me one bit, as his reaction is normally 12-24 hours later.

BigPigLittlePig · 22/08/2013 20:59

I miss going to baby groups. I literally cannot wait for bank holiday though as I get to spend the day with F, just me and her, for the first time in over a month. Soooo excited. I miss her.

PetiteRaleuse · 22/08/2013 21:03

kyz do you have a baby jail or a travel cot you could set up in ur living room to act as one? LO's baby jail is her safe place, free from dd1 and the dog.

Very miserable LO tonight. I think dd1 was being a pita as was stressed by all her crying. They're both tucked up now. Am about to pop a pill and head that way myself.

Thankful that the day is over and thankful that nursery starts next week. Also thankful for sleeping pills and xanax. Things can only get better :) Oh, am also thankful for DH who, despite being super stressed at work has been fab this evening. Also thankful for dd1's capacity to make me laugh by her pure cheekiness, and for LO who gives amazing cuddles when she's miserable.

YellowWellies · 22/08/2013 21:06

Wow sounds like there's been lots of excitement and shocks today.

Wahoo on the interview MM!

Chasing glad O's OK and well done on the KISA!

Shock Shock Shock Shock Pass what an awesome save by the CM.

Lily I'd get her all ready for bed, pop her in the sling and go. We've had a late one out and about with my Dad and step family today and so far he's been OK. We've had to travel for tea so their teenagers don't have to spoilt much? so am just putting a very overtired bear down now. I wonder how shit the night will be he didn't have a good tea either Confused Confused .

I had a spin of the out and about double after a friend recommended it - its like a really light mountain buggy and can turn on a dime. Def my choice of double when we need one.

Oh and he did a proper forward crawl today for the first time. On the train floor after waving coquettishly at a beautiful young woman (long dark hair is his type!) he set off towards her. We were pissing ourselves. Wee flirt! Grin

BigPigLittlePig · 22/08/2013 21:12

Just accidentally found a video of pass's bump wriggling from October last year Grin Made me a little nostalgic. Although don't want another for a while. Still.

ValiumQueen · 22/08/2013 21:16

Thank you all for your reassurance over J Smile You made me cry Chasing with your sweet comment Smile I know it in theory, and would say it to others, but it is hard when it is your own baby. They were very impressed at how chilled out he was, especially as he was asleep when we got there, overdue a bottle, and was streaming with snot.

He has had a completely soy free day and the snot has dissipated. I am wondering if this is linked or a coincidence. He has also been asleep in his cot since 8.30pm, and settled like a dream.

Lily I would go. I think you would benefit from a treat trip out, and if you cancel chances are O will not sleep anyway and you will be kicking yourself.

Pass I am glad P was ok. Well done CM!

PurplePidjin · 22/08/2013 21:18

Passmethecrisps · 22/08/2013 21:18

And didn't that wriggly bump tell me something?! Grin

Off to find that vid

Passmethecrisps · 22/08/2013 21:23

J is such ladies man yw! That sounds hilarious.

I remember pre-baby being in a pub and the table next to us had a toddler in a push chair. He took a mega shine to me and when turned away shouted "lady, lady LADY!!" He was let out on reins and beelined for me and tried to get on my knee. DH said he must have had fabulous taste!

Glad the wee man settled well vq.

YellowWellies · 22/08/2013 21:24

Gosh I remember that vid with your pusskin looking on all WTAF is that belly wriggling?! Wow nostalgic. Jonas will be one in 9 weeks!!! That's nuts Shock Shock Shock Shock

TheDetective · 22/08/2013 21:33

I forgot to say, given his wriggliness... O has adapted to being in a sling VERY well. He recognises it now, and knows he likes it! So there is no fighting to put him in it, he waits patiently for me to put him up! And is very well behaved generally once in!

Didn't take long at all!

I was trying to put him in his pushchair today to go home in as he was due a nap, and with the vomiting, I didn't fancy having him on me...! But he did the plank of wood thing, and I thought I can't be arsed fighting him in! So I got the sling out, and he went up without a murmur. Then back out again, and waited patiently while another mum had a go with it Grin. And back up! Grin.

TheDetective · 22/08/2013 21:34

YW loving J the ladies dude Wink. He's a funnyun!

I remember your vid very well pass Grin.

daisychain76 · 22/08/2013 21:35

Hello, sorry some rubbish days have been had. det that sounds scary. l think l have actually seem mirrors for sling wearers on a FB page. l have never been brave enough for a back carry, so will be interested to see how it goes.

Well done mm.

VQ H is 11 months on Saturday and not crawling or cruising really. l sort of see it as a positive. l get him to be my (last) baby for that bit longer before full on toddlerdom erupts!

I am thankful for Celebrity Big Brother Blush and banoffee cheesecake tonight Smile

TheDetective · 22/08/2013 21:38

Update from Chasing is that he is ace! And they haven't stopped talking!

There has been no smoochy action. Yet! Grin

BigPigLittlePig · 22/08/2013 21:43
Grin

Pussypig used to wake F up when she was still tucked up inside with his kneading, then look all indignant as she booted him in the head.

MsJupiterJones · 22/08/2013 21:51

It sounds like a bit of a day for the quiche.

Chasing you don't need a KISA, you are O's KISA! I hope you have fun and that whether now or soon you find someone brilliant and worthy of you.

VQ I am glad J got on well at the nursery. L was one of the only ones still sitting when his baby group peers were clambering about but, like others have reported, he has gone from sitting to crawling to standing very quickly. I think he put on a lot of weight very quickly and it took a while for him to work out how to use his body to support his weight. Lots of mental and physical calculations then off he went! I know it is easy to say but more difficult when you are the one thinking, but what if..? The important thing is J has a wonderful mummy and family who love him, cuddle him and give him confidence and support. Also he has clearly been focussing on tooth growing unlike my gummy chump!

PurplePidjin · 22/08/2013 21:51

R has been slung since he was a day old - should have put it in my hospital bag! - and has calmed when he's seen it since a few weeks old. He went on my back at 4 months and rarely goes on my front now. He likes Robin's hip carry for short ups though, think I'll be using that one more in future as town and the park and everything are so close that once he's walking it'll quickly become achievable iyswim

11 months, daisychain?! R just turned 9. There's a really wide spread in this quiche!

Glad Chasing's evening is going well, although they'll probably be another update by the time I'm done typing this...

Elizadoesdolittle · 22/08/2013 21:52

Ah so pleased it's going well for chasing.

pass Wow, what a cm. She sounds great. Glad wee P is fine.

Kyz · 22/08/2013 22:08

det that could work but then on my shitty chairs I reckon he would still tip it :/ they are thin and the legs are straight down and they are just rubbish :( am on the lookout for a good sturdy high chair, pref a folding down one, but if not, not essential now really. Hope you enjoy bowling tomorrow btw! Sporcle is filling my evenings ATM!

pr the Travel cot stays at mils, I was thinking of a baby jail as I am struggling I must say. He is pulling himself up and trying to walk round furniture is that cruising? and i can't take my eyes off him for a second or that's what it feels like!

Aww bless him yw e likes a good blonde it seems!

Sounds like its going well for our chasing!

daisychain76 · 22/08/2013 22:11

Pp he was 7 weeks early! l think Sept babies are still only on their second post natal thread! Very glad l didn?t get kicked out of this quiche Smile
