:o

Our hedgehog has come back. He is nesting in our logs, so I hope we don't disturb him once he hibernates. We're obviously not using the log stock at the moment. Which reminds me, I must get the chimney swept before it gets cold. Otherwise our home insurance is no longer valid!!! Do you have that rule over there?

TheDetective · 19/08/2013 23:51

You know what.

I FUCKING GIVE UP!!!!!!

If it isn't one child, it's the other...

11pm I suggest we go to bed. DP said he isn't tired. I suggested again that we 'go to bed'. He catches my drift. He starts tidying his stuff away when DS1 walks in the room Confused. He moans he can't sleep and wants a drink.

So he is still awake now.

O is sleeping soundly.

Me and DP are lay in bed like strangers not touching.

RAAAAAH!!! 3 months. 3 fucking months!

Will my children kindly go the fuck to sleep AT THE SAME TIME!!

YellowWellies · 19/08/2013 23:53

Long day's freelance just at an end, crawled up to bed with DH, we pop in to check on the bear who was asleep on his tum. SIDS paranoid DH flipped him onto his back and woke him before I could mime at him to stop. Sigh if I feed him now he might not wake me in the 7 hours and 7 minutes before the alarm goes off.

Last mad day of freelance tomorrow for a few weeks. Thank fuck. Brain is now soup and I'm missing just chilling with ma boy Smile

PurplePidjin · 20/08/2013 00:33

Third wake since 10:30. Feel sick with tiredness. Feeding and praying.

PurplePidjin · 20/08/2013 01:17

Still awake. Done nappy, lighter sleeping bag and calgel. Still praying.

MsJupiterJones · 20/08/2013 01:32

Sorry to hear it Purps. We are having another night like last night, he never seems to reach that 100% sleeping, slow breathing, relaxed state. His muscles are still clenching, almost like a twitch. And every 20 mins or so the quiet murmuring turns into distress. It's very strange. I don't think anything's wrong, I don't know what to do apart from keep sitting with him and holding him.

Hello to other tired mummies & daddies out there...

applepieinthesky · 20/08/2013 01:37

Good news about the union det. Will have a gander on fb when I get a chance to read more.

Well done chasing another day out the way. One step at a time.

We had a lovely day today shopping in a nearby market town. I managed to find an outfit for C for a wedding we're going to on Saturday, including some shoes in a size four. They're a bit big but once he has socks on and the laces done up tight they'll be fine. I'm finding shoes a nightmare at the moment because his feet are abnormally wide and I begrudge paying Clarks prices when he is still growing so damn quick.

How soon after unprotected sex can I POAS? I have no clue when my last period was. Sometime in June I think Confused Fairly sure I'm late but have always been a bit irregular, more so since C so it's probably nothing.

applepieinthesky · 20/08/2013 01:42

Haven't had a period since I stopped taking the pill. Yes must have been June. That's normal right?

ValiumQueen · 20/08/2013 02:01

Apple you can POAS whenever you want Grin I miss POAS. I nearly bought one some today even though I have been sterilised. I used to get them from Poundland so 50p each. They are just as reliable as the ones the dr uses. Have you any symptoms? It could be your cycle just getting settled again.

J woke at 1.30. It was fascinating to watch actually - not proper awake, but both arms and legs going, all twitchy first working up to proper crawling motions, then flip, then onto knees and yowling. Did this a few times despite me having a gentle hold on his tum to try to settle him. I always find him on his tum now when he wakes. I remember the same with the girls, including sitting up, standing up etc. Smile

ValiumQueen · 20/08/2013 02:03

I hope you are asleep by now PP. is R doing similar things to J and others? It can be a multitude of things and is so very frustrating x

PetiteRaleuse · 20/08/2013 06:00

Morning quiche. I slept from 1-4. i hope VQ and pidj got some sleep in the end.

ValiumQueen · 20/08/2013 06:55

Yes thank you PR. He woke at 6.30 so I am very pleased with that Smile I am sorry you had a bad night ThanksBrew

FatimaLovesBread · 20/08/2013 06:57

Morning quiche!
Quick post to say first day at work was fine. M was happy to see us at tea time. She was that tired she self-settled to sleep in her cot!! Shock woke for two night feeds but I suppose she'll be getting used to the last of feeds during the day. The second wake up I was just going to rock her back but tbh I was tired and feeding was quicker Smile

First day at the CM today! I'll try catch up tonight

PurplePidjin · 20/08/2013 07:24
Brew
Sophiathesnowfairy · 20/08/2013 07:34

Pikz · 20/08/2013 07:53

Passmethecrisps · 20/08/2013 08:40

Morning.

Fucking tyre blown. Can't find breakdown cover. Sitting in the car while DH races around at home trying to find it.

Arse

ValiumQueen · 20/08/2013 08:55

At least you are safe Pass x

DD1 back at school today GrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrin and DD2 at nursery GrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrin so just me and my boy GrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrin and Dexter!

ChasingDaisy · 20/08/2013 08:56

Morning quiche,

Fatima I'm glad your first day went well Smile

Have woken up in a better mood today. Oscar loves people watching so have decided to catch the bus to the shopping centre today so we can sit in Costa and watch the world go by. Whilst eating cake. Want to buy a nice thank you card for my dad as well.

MsJupiterJones · 20/08/2013 09:02

Sounds good VQ! Grin

YellowWellies · 20/08/2013 10:29

That sounds a nice plan Chasing grab a gingerbread latte for me. And their lemon cheesecake pud. Nom.

Pass yikes! Glad you're safe. Fingers crossed you're on the road soon as a very quick thing.

DH's waking of J wasn't a disaster (I had to begrudgingly admit to him this morning) - he slept through til my alarm. Isn't now a bit late to consider instigating a dream feed?

Pikz good luck for settling in hon.

PP and VQ time for Brew and Cake methinks.

Right my sister has just departed with one scooting four year old, a two year old in the buggy, and Jonas in the ergo. She looks like the most fertile woman in the bay Grin. She's off to visit a pal with a CMPI 11 month old who is crawling sooooo fast and who Jonas was definitely watching with interest / copying last time they met. Confused.

So time to roll up my sleeves and get the last of this fecking freelance finished so that I can enjoy the rest of the week with my Dad and family who are up to visit. Have a lovely day all.

Passmethecrisps · 20/08/2013 11:52

Just been picked up! By the truck that is.

When is it Wine o'clock?

YellowWellies · 20/08/2013 12:07

Pass put that trucker down! Wink. Celebratory thank fuck that crazy deadline is over Wine o'clock will be at woo 10 pm tonight I reckon. I think you're allowed it with lunch Grin.

TheDetective · 20/08/2013 12:19

Morningssss. Well. Afternoon. It was morning last time I checked!

Just been tickling O with my blusher brush. Much chuckles!

We are going to go out in a minute with the sling! On a bus! Am taking pram too!

I have my first ever niece! Ella, born in the early hours. Caught by daddy! Oooops! 3rd babies just shoot out. Allegedly! I do hope they weren't delayed due to my mum not answering the phone to pick the other kids up!!

Think I decided on a Ewan as a gift! Will also get a small pink outfit as I know she wants pink I hate it!.

Hope O behaves in the sling!

fruitpastilles · 20/08/2013 12:22

Aww congratulations det I bet you can't wait to see her can you.

I forgot how small newborns are. I was with my cousin and her 2 week old on Sunday and he is just tiny. That newborn cry got me aswell, he sounded like a little kitten Smile
