Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
kittykatsforever · 07/10/2013 06:21

Ewwww pear that's horrible Shock
I must admit I'm sure a lot of mine are out of date but I'd not use a Crawley one!
Yes I add apple or pear to baby rice for breckie, if they are bitter the porrige might be better, and all the things I suggest are from my anabel karmel recipie book so yes you'd definatly find it in there lol

FrussoNeedsGin · 07/10/2013 07:39

Eew pear that's is gross!

AGnu · 07/10/2013 11:59

Want to hear something even more gross? I've had a stomach bug for the last 24 hours. The last thing I ate before getting ill was a cheese fondue. I've been puking up what looked like large tampons of congealed cheese. Hmm That was super fun! At one point it was so bad that I couldn't sit up or even drink water without vomiting! I had to stop bf-ing for most of yesterday. Luckily we were at my parents for the w/e so DH just left us here & we had plenty of formula for Runt. He's had 1 feed from me so far today but the other side doesn't feel particularly full. I did get ridiculously dehydrated! I'm getting better now though. I can sit propped up with pillows & can drink water & eat crackers! Woohoo! Wink

FrussoNeedsGin · 07/10/2013 13:22

Oh I do hope you're feeling better soon agnu cheesy tampon sick doesn't sound pleasant

bringonthetrumpets · 07/10/2013 14:35

Oh my life agnu I hope you feel better soon woman! So glad you're finally able to keep liquids down, if not I was going to suggest getting your butt into A&E ASAP for IV fluids.

Pear did you leave the apple peel on or did you peel them? Skins on make it taste terrible (learned that one the hard way...). Also, you can put spices in the freezer and they last much, much longer that way.

Ew frus I'm waiting for a poosplosion soon from M it's been 3 days and of course I'm waiting for it to happen either right before or during the mini family pic session we have lined up for today....

kittykatsforever · 07/10/2013 14:49

Oh Agnu that doesn't sound pleasent! Hope you feel better soon, the "good" thing with sickness bugs or noro virus is the puking is usually isolated to one day and generally you feel ok again by day 3 so fx for you! Hope it doesn't affect your supply to much, I had noro virus with dd1 and had to feed her through it, luckily she was sleeping through so just the day, I've never prayed so much for her to stay asleep as that night, I was on my own and couldn't make it to the bathroom without vomiting so I'd been sick in the bath on the carpet... Bloody horrendous!
( ill bet you won't eat that again! My last meal was carrot and coriander soup and I've not been able to face it again)
Bring, you can guarantee the poonami as soon as you are with others!

FrussoNeedsGin · 07/10/2013 16:26

Dd2 school photos are back. Let's just say I won't be spending a small fortune on them. I can handle her having scruffy hair and uniform, but i can't handle them tucking her fringe behind her ear. it makes her look odd, plus it's not something she would do herself at least the photographer didn't photoshop out her hearing aids like the one when she was at nursery.

peardrop2 · 07/10/2013 17:03

Omg! Are you serious? I can't believe any photographer would photoshop a child. That makes me so Hmm

Agnu ~ hope you're feeling better or well on the mend anyway!

Bring ~ FX poonami held out for you!!

Kitty ~ are you unwell? Sorry if I missed that!

No I did peel the apples. I didn't know that you can freeze spices...Interesting! I forgot to buy cinnamon at Sainsbury's today...damn it!

kittykatsforever · 07/10/2013 19:20

No not me pear, just re living the horror for Agnu with dd1
Agree on photoshopping Hmm what would posess you! I don't mind me being done however Wink

peardrop2 · 07/10/2013 20:56

Some point very soon I need to be brave and stop rocking baby pear to sleep Hmm I just can't face the tummy crying that is to come Sad

Lorelei353 · 07/10/2013 20:59

Get well soon agnu

FrussoNeedsGin · 07/10/2013 21:42

I was very cross. They tried to deny it and blame it on angles. But hey-ho we didn't buy those pics. And DH shreds that these pics are bad.

Ds just shouted at me because he let go of my boob and promptly fell asleep.

kittykatsforever · 08/10/2013 06:29

Pear does he never fall asleep while you give him his last feed?
Frus, I can well imagine they'd deny it after, I think its one of those things that if it didn't go the way you'd expect the full horror realisation of what you'd done would hit!
the hair behind the ears thing I think is probably an automatic thing school photographers do, I can remember them doing things like that to me many moons ago and saying things like hold your sisters hand etc

FrussoNeedsGin · 08/10/2013 07:31

So do I kitty the one when I was 13 was the worst; telling me to grin = mouthful of train track brace, that wasn't a good picture. Grin

Well the boy seems to have settled into a semi-decent night feed pattern. He has a feed when I go to bed 10-11, then one in the night, and one around 6/6.30 just before I get up.

FrussoNeedsGin · 08/10/2013 12:50

I'm an idiot

bringonthetrumpets · 08/10/2013 14:06

LOL! What on earth was up there?

FrussoNeedsGin · 08/10/2013 17:02

A spare sewing machine. Grin it was worth it. I'm having a making phrase.

peardrop2 · 08/10/2013 17:11

Kitty ~ he used to fall asleep at the end of the feed but not so much now Hmm The problem is I don't feel ready to leave him crying as I know it's going to be really torturous Sad

bringonthetrumpets · 08/10/2013 18:12

Oooh whatcha making?

Pear- you know your little guy and whether his cries are ones that are just because he's tired and babies cry when they're tired and he'll settle or whether he'll just keep crying. If you don't feel ready, darling, don't do it. Follow your mama heart.

Yeah, I've got a few bad school photos under my belt. Braces and glasses in one of them, yikes

Speaking of pix, family ones went great yesterday. No poonami, she was a good girl smiled and giggled for the camera and held off the pooing until she was out of her pretty dress. Grin

AGnu · 08/10/2013 19:49

Frus Grin Glad you're down safely now! Definitely get yourself a ladder for next time!

peardrop2 · 08/10/2013 20:25

I was really thinking about leaving him tonight but then his reflux kicked off so he's gone all clingy on me. I guess this is why I'm in this mess in the first place Hmm

FrussoNeedsGin · 08/10/2013 20:44

agnu I have a ladder. I've just lent it to someone that currently not talking to and I really wanted my seeing machine.

pear have you tried lying with him? I have to lie next to the boy with my hand on him, until he falls asleep.

bring I found some adorable blue fleece with elephants on. So I've made a blanket for the car seat, and am currently working on a buggy snuggle for the buggy. And maybe a pillow or two.

peardrop2 · 08/10/2013 22:41

Frus would you lie with him even when he's crying? Is that not frustrating for baby Frus? I can imagine pear going bananas if he saw me just lying there :-/

peardrop2 · 08/10/2013 22:43

I was wondering if I should try in the day time when his reflux isn't bad but if I end up picking him up at night then I'll be giving him mixed messages so I think I better just give it another few weeks. But as soon as his reflux improves I'm doing it!!!!

FrussoNeedsGin · 08/10/2013 23:27

If he's eaten and has a clean bum, he usually just grumbles because he's tired. So I put him on his belly and put a hand on his back/bum. The odd pat or rub, and he usually goes off.
If he does start really whinging i offer him milk again, but only if he's really upset. sometimes he just likes to hear his own voice if he refuses milk then I know he's moaning because he's tired. I think it's about figuring out what each cry means. He has more of a shout than a cry if he doesn't want to sleep.

I think he just likes to know that I'm close.
