Sympathy for the wisdoms bring

bringonthetrumpets · 02/10/2013 19:05

Cheers frus. Veeerrry quiet around here in the past couple of days. Hmm everyone ok?

FrussoNeedsMoreSleep · 02/10/2013 19:24

I'm flitting in and out. Been hanging out on the SN boards. and SN educating (arguing) on a couple of frustrating posts on chat and aibu Grin

I have a seriously teething boy. I swear he's trying to cut a mouthful of teeth all at once. And nothing is helping.
And I made him cry yesterday because he chomped me so hard I yelped. Sad

FrussoNeedsMoreSleep · 03/10/2013 00:19

Eep just woke the boy up. He just rolled over in bed, so I flung out my hand to grab him in a panic to stop him falling and woke him up.
Silly thing is his "fall" was a 1 inch drop from my bed to his cot. And doesn't usually wake him up. he rolls down it most nights, usually when he throws himself away from me in a milk drunk stupor

Oh and why am I awake? DH is breathing! HmmConfused

bringonthetrumpets · 03/10/2013 01:46

Oops frus! Did he fall back to sleep right away?

Urgh, I hate when Dhs breathe at night.

FrussoNeedsMoreSleep · 03/10/2013 07:07

Well ds sort of demanded to be reattached to my boob and then he ate a little and fell back to asleep. He's a comfort sucker. And usually let's go at some point, as he does 360 in his cot through the night. Usually ending up at a 90 degree angle to me.

FrussoNeedsMoreSleep · 03/10/2013 20:26

Where is everyone

it's very quiet in here.

WAKE UP MUMMY! Grin

FrussoNeedsMoreSleep · 03/10/2013 20:33

P.s. ds has just gone 3 hours without my boob in his mouth feeding!
I had to go out (to brownies) left ds with mil and fil, for DH to collect after work. (30 mins later) DH forgot.
DH forgot his children. Hmm

My boobs feel like they will explode. And ds is still asleep.
Oh no wait, he's awake. And crying in hunger.

And dd has wee-d on the bathroom floor. Nice.Hmm

AGnu · 03/10/2013 22:38

Sorry Frus, I've had a busy couple of days! Am away for the w/e too so probably won't be around much then either!

Runt seems to be getting a little confused about when night time is. He's developed a habit of sleeping for 5+ hours in the afternoon & then wanting feeding every 3 hours through the night. I do not approve. It did work out quite well this evening though. He slept through me rushing around madly & all through DH's aunt & uncle arriving & having dinner & then was very cheerful for half an hour for them to meet him before getting grumpy & hungry as soon as they left! I'm not looking forward to the midnight feed... Or the 3am one that'll follow! I'm so sleepy but there's loads of washing up to be done & DH doesn't seem to be doing it. He's "just having a quick break" apparently! I'd leave him to it but I know he'll sit down longer if I'm not around & he was late to work this morning because he overslept & didn't wake up until 20mins after he was supposed to be in work. He won't go to bed unless the kitchen is spotless, no matter how tired he is! Hmm

bringonthetrumpets · 04/10/2013 01:57

Oh dear agnu that does not sound very nice. Runt needs to figure it out! I wish my dh would clean up the kitchen before bed... he just leaves it until the morning (we have this thing that if I cook, he cleans up and vise versa, although he seems to think cleaning up 12 hrs later is acceptable Hmm ).

What the what, Frus, he forgot to pick up his children? B'jesus. Good for you for going out and getting a brownie though! YUM.

I wish I had exciting news to report. I'm currently playing event planner and have a promo event this weekend that I'm scrambling to put together and trying to hold myself back from strangling my co-person. Angry really looking forward to saturday being over.

Also, I'm going to a My Bloody Valentine gig with the ol'hubster. Anyone else a fan?

Lorelei353 · 04/10/2013 05:21

Never been a MBV fan I'm afraid Bring. Always felt they were massively overrated. Maybe my opinion is coloured by the fact that Kevin Shields used to be the scary older boy around the corner who was mean to us (until we moved house when I was 5). That said it didn't stop me loving his brother Jimi's band, Rollerskate Skinny.

FrussoNeedsMoreSleep · 04/10/2013 07:41

Not heard of them bring. completely musically uneducated me. Blush
Unfortunately I couldn't eat these Browines. 20 little 7-11yr old girls just dont go down easily. Wink

And on top of forgetting his children. dH woke me and ds up this morning at 6 by just lying and looking at his alarm! Turn it off you idiot!

FrussoNeedsGin · 04/10/2013 17:27

AIBU to ignore the dog barking to get inside from the garden?

kittykatsforever · 04/10/2013 19:29

Sorry but really really lol at brings eating brownies Grin do they not have brownies in the states? Little girl guides? Frus I coulda age one maybe Wink
I've been a grumpy grinch today, so tired of kittens random wake ups and no pattern fed her at 1 last night and then she woke at 5:30 and woke dd1 who was then awake, so tired I couldn't even go into her as I felt for sure the a dispair I was feeling would poor into her or I might chuck her out the window I had it too easy first time, I'm being punished!

kittykatsforever · 04/10/2013 19:30

I've never heard of them either sorry bring, I'm not into current music, I like the 80's me Grin

bringonthetrumpets · 04/10/2013 21:10

Alright. That's it (NoT D)H actually went there today and asked me "what do you even do all day?" F*cker. Also, I have a clogged-cyst Montgomery's tubercle and it hurts like the dickens. And I just want to cry. It's a really really bad day and it's just constant fighting with (not d)h. Ahhhh.

Ahhh, yes, those kind of brownies. Lol. That makes a lot more sense now.

I really don't like MBV either but my husband claims they are the best thing on the planet so he bought tickets to go, maybe I'll just use the fact that I'm getting the wisdoms out 3 days before the concert as my excuse to get out of it. Apparently they are so loud and know that they are so loud that they give out ear plugs to concert-goers. Hmm That doesn't really sound all that fun to me. Lor Shock Crazy that you know the creepy guy. Small world!

kittykatsforever · 04/10/2013 21:26

Can't believe he went there!!!!
I never stop with 2, you are super woman fu&£er

peardrop2 · 04/10/2013 22:18

Yesterday my DH said 'everyday is a holiday for you!' Hmm Grrrrrr

bringonthetrumpets · 04/10/2013 22:20

Shock Pear!!! O.M.G. what is wrong with these penis-toting people? They just really have no f'ing clue do they?

kittykatsforever · 05/10/2013 06:53

I hope you said ok well one day this weekend I'll go out for a day and you have one of my "holidays" including the night!
That's one thing I can count on dh for, he knows it's not easy particulaly the nights and often thanks me for looking after his children so well, I think it's because he's done a few hours before and found it really hard! I think first time with dd1 he thought my days were pretty cushty at times

kittykatsforever · 05/10/2013 06:57

Until a bloke can bf he will never understand how hard it is to have a little thing so reliant on you that only you can help at any time day or night, I tell you I'd like even a 30 min lunch break that your "guaranteed" every day but of adult company, enjoying a cup of tea........

Lorelei353 · 05/10/2013 09:43

I'd definitely try and get out of it bring It's less a gig than an aural assault. People have been known to poo themselves or have bleeding ears at their gigs in the past. Sad
Dublin is a small place though.

FrussoNeedsGin · 05/10/2013 12:13

kitty how are you feeling today?

peardrop2 · 05/10/2013 16:50

Kitty ~ yes I think you're right. Nobody knows what it's like to solely breastfeed until they actually do it themselves. I'll be the first to put up my hand and admit that I had absolutely no clue how much energy it required and how much you have to eat and drink to keep going well maybe not everyone has to eat like a pig but I have to fight for every drop Bfeeding is absolutely impossible to explain unless you've been through it...a bit like giving birth Grin

Bfeeding put aside. I do wonder how it feels to look after a bottle fed baby. The same? Do you really have more energy? I remember at the very beginning when we had to use bottles that sterilising was tiring too.

kittykatsforever · 05/10/2013 19:49

I do think bottle feeding has its difficulties too, sterilising and washing is a pain in the arse but I don't think they do need as much, in the sence that if they are hungrier you simply give them more they don't have to cluster feed to get it and anyone can help give a baby a bottle it's not just down to you!
Thanks for asking frus, feel abit more human today,we gave kitten a bottle at 7 last night instead of 4 ( she had previously rejected them at this time before) and she wolfed down 7oz, I think when I feed her she has a lot less as she will only have one side and I'm not that full at that time of night but because she's tired and snugly she falls asleep so I think the bottle kept her awake and she had more and so she woke at 3 but I could tell she wasn't starving, she cried abit but didn't get worse or scream like she does when she's clearly hungry then she fell asleep again til 6:30, dd1 woke at 6:10 but all in all a much better night, I think a bottle a bed time may be the way forward for us although ill miss that last snuggle Hmm
