I forgot to say how O went with the Piriton - it helped loads. I've just given it twice so far, the first day he had it, and tonight as we have been on the grass today, and this evening the nose was streaming and the eyes red.

So I think I can conclude O has some hayfever going on.

Evening all.

Stacks sorry to hear you're having such a rough time. Fingers crossed the appointment can shed some light on things for you.

Izzy I'm glad your family are able to help out, I know 1 night is only a drop in the ocean, but it is something.

Stunt donut sounds lovely, I'm so tempted sometimes to fall off the wagon, as it were, but am too scared mindful of the effects lol.

MM MIL has a vtech walker, F is mesmerised by it! Hope M continues to enjoy it - and what a bargain.

Evil paddling pool sounds lovely. DSD broke ours and we haven't replaced it, as the weather was pants. And of course now, the shops have all sold out. We have made do with buckets today Grin

DSD has been, erm, challenging in the extreme today. She has run poor dh ragged - she is 5 going on 15, with the mood swings to suit. I really hope she has a better few days next weekend, for Fs christening, as the sulking/tantrums have the potential to put a real downer on the day.

And we have discovered 2 things that F is terrified of today. The bath taps running, whilst she is in the bath. And the hoover. Both caused her to shake in horror and scream, a proper terrified scream that I reserve for spiders

Wow detective 24lbs, that's brilliant! I'm starting back at weight watchers on Wednesday, time to really get my big fat ass in gear and get rid of the flab!

Poor O, I suffer very badly with hayfever, I can't imagine what it'd be like for a baby to deal with Hmm

S finally has her paed's appt on Tuesday, so typically, she has hardly been sick this week!

That's interesting det re hayfever. DH asked me whether F has hayfever, as she has been snot central, and frantically rubbing her eyes, which were swollen. I might give the piriton a go, as she is suffering bless her.

Also meant to say - have dropped another bf today Sad F has been waking hungry at 3 or 4am the past few nights, which coincides with me feeling as though my supply for the bedtime feed has been a bit shit. Plus, next week, I am working 2 on-call shifts back to back, so will be at work for 2 consecutive bedtimes, and that alone would nobble my supply. I'm ok with this, as it feels like a natural process, rather than forced, but still a little Sad. Poor F wasn't sure what to do tonight, the bottle was right there but she was frantically nuzzling my boob and wondering why she couldn't get to it.

Harrow again all, just a quickie from me although I expect it'll be long as i'm on the laptop a minute and I am a bazillion times quicker on here!

Clarella hope the cold and teething both piss off soon!

det i haven't lowered my cot, but E is pretty rubbish in the moving department, has never shown any inclination of getting up from lying down in his cot or otherwise. Should I move it anyway, you reckon?

pr I would also love a hubby who said ooh la la, I would crack up each and every time I think! Blush. Francophile, I like it! I had a french boyfriend once. Well, kind of, it was a fleeting romance during the french exchange trip at school, we were 12!

pass jealous of you living near the safari park, i'd love that!

late Brew izzy :( I hope the playing with food thing helps J get used to the idea, bless him

stacks sounds like he really enjoyed that apple! How long did you microwave it for? I keep trying to do it but end up with hard apple or mush :( am rubbish! I do not ignore your reflux issues etc btw I just have no advice for you i'm sorry :( YW is more than excellent though

you're not a bad mummy stunt perhaps J wont have a reaction

Hey evil bet N enjoyed the paddling pool! E had a couple of cool baths today because it got so very hot

brill win mm i need to get e one of those, he loved the one he had a go on too

det uk heat is just really stuffy isn't it, it's so different abroad! You are doing so well losing weight btw, wish I could stick to a diet so well, I just am not in the right frame of mind atm it seems!

E has had a bizarre day today, he's done really well and at bed time I had one of those proud moments pp mentioned. He woke at 6, back asleep at 7 till 7:30, napped at 9:30 till 10:25 and then slept 15 mins at 3:10 as we were out and that was it. Not a tear in sight however, happy as larry, ate absolutely tonnes and drank a nice 24.5oz too, so not too shabby. He was such a good boy, and before I put him to bed he gave his daddy a cuddle and said dadadadadadad at him, then it was my turn and I got mummumumumumum in my ear. It was so lovely, he stroked my hair one side and rubbed my shoulder the other side and I could've sat with him forever at that point. Goshes I luffs him, he really is such a good laddo, I am lucky to have him

Tomorrow is supposed to be mega hot too isn't it? gah!

Here it is with the worked calculation I did before.

Disclaimer: I are not a doctor, Kay?

Usually the maximum dose is 10 mg/kg per day, divided up into 3 doses.

P weighs 6.2 kg
10 mg x 6.2 kg = 62mg per day (maximum)
Dividing this into 3 daily doses makes 20.6 mg per dose
Since Zantac syrup is 15 mg/ 1 mL, 20.6 mg would be 1.3ml per dose

I looked behind me then Pikz Grin

I've got shed loads to lose, so doesn't feel that great. It's a lot more noticeable now though, but I'm not much below my usual weight, so people I haven't seen in a while won't see any difference. This next stone will make a big difference :)

You are right though, you do have to be in the right frame of mind to lose weight. Took me 28 years Grin. Well, actually not really as I haven't been overweight all my life! I've yo-yo'd for the last 11 years though. But this is my first proper structured diet.

Re: Piriton. If it helps, it helps! I don't want to see him suffering unnecessarily. He seems okay, til we near the grass... so looks more like a grass pollen hayfever for him.

BP Awwwww :( Did she go down okay in the end then?

TheDetective · 13/07/2013 21:36

Fab Pass O can go up to 3mls Shock. I've been thinking I'm giving him a lot at 2mls! That is twice a day by the way, as that is how we do it now. Works great not having to squeeze the day time dose in! Morning and night, purrrrrrrrrrrrrfect!

Kyz E sounds so cute! Loving his chattering!

Report
BigPigLittlePig · 13/07/2013 21:37

She did det - the heat exhausts her so she's been sparko since 6 Grin. I'm going to pay for that in the morning aren't I?!

Kyz how lush! F can only moo/growl, nothing resembling human chat at all.

Det that's awesome weight loss. My best friend has lost just shy of 4 stone on SW so far, it seems like quite a good diet plan, if you can get your head round the syns thingy.

Found it pretty easy to stick to. Hard when out. But getting there! Being organised helps though. Dreading going back to work and doing it!
