Piss in her slippers, GT

GTbaby · 14/07/2013 12:28

We ain't aloud to wear slippers. She thinks its dirty. There is no emoticon I can use for this statement.

PurplePidjin · 14/07/2013 12:51

Piss in her tea then, GT. "Why don't you try this lovely new herbal blend, MIL?"

I have beer. And pink wine. And bbq. And lamb/mint sausages. And steak burgers. And buns/salad/cous cous. And friends on the way. It's the Pedal Car Grand Prix today, the town's gorn maaaaad :o

GTbaby · 14/07/2013 12:55

Well that has made me jealous PP. Grin might go out for a fry up. Craving sausage. Oh lala. Lol

Stacks · 14/07/2013 13:21

Which ikea do the haggis peeps meet at? I'm guessing not Edinburgh?

T had an ok night last night. Slept from 9-11:30, then woke at 1:30, 3:30, 4:30 (but I ignored him and he went back to sleep), 5:30 and 6:30. DH came and got him up at 7:30 so I could have a lie in. We're at PIL today, so I should go be social.

izzybizzybuzzybees · 14/07/2013 13:55

stacks it's the Glasgow on we've met at a few times. Would be great if you could make it?

I had bad night with J too and am only just out of bed. I musta needed the extra sleep! Oops!

MadameGazelleIsMyMum · 14/07/2013 18:40

Hellllloooooooooooooo? Is that an echo? Is everyone off having a fab time in the sun?!

ChasingDaisy · 14/07/2013 18:46

Here madame

MadameGazelleIsMyMum · 14/07/2013 18:54

How are you doing chasing?

izzy glad you got to catch with some sleep.

We went to the beach today. DH and DD swam, but too cold for DS! He wanted to crawl and eat the sand, not stay in the little tent thing, so we only managed an hour and a half. But it was so hot, it really was like being abroad including extortionate ice cream and drinks prices. DS also enjoyed "swimming" in the paddling pool, he was on his tum turning around and around, putting his face in the water and screeching at his big sis! He's pooped now, am hoping for a big long sleep.

Had such a nice weekend and dont want it to finish. Expecting a very shitty week at work for lots of reasons which I could do without. Still, a few hours left in the sunshine first.

ChasingDaisy · 14/07/2013 18:54

I'm going to MK Ikea tomorrow so will have my own solitary quiche meet.

Lily311 · 14/07/2013 19:01

Ikea is good. I'm off to the Budapest one tmrw! A friend is stopping by from London, can't wait to catch up with her.

I took O to an open air swimming pool, she loved it. She was so confident in the water, made my heart melt. Glad to have her back and very grateful that my parents looked after her.

Passmethecrisps · 14/07/2013 19:23

Haaaaaaalllloooooooo!

Safari park was heeeeeeeaaving with people. P was very tired but liked the meerkats, sea lions and a vulture. We bought a season ticket! Woohoo! Weekly trips for me! It is dead close (timed it - took us 6 minutes to get there) that p and I could just go for a walk every single day for the rest of my mat leave.

Dead quiet in here today.

That'll bring them running!

ChasingDaisy · 14/07/2013 19:31

I'm not doing great Madame but I'll keep that to facebook as I'm getting a bit repetitive with it now and I'm even boring myself.

I need to buy some bed covers, tumblers and decide which bed and sofa I'm going to get.

Oscar loved the paddling pool today, should really take him swimming.

MadameGazelleIsMyMum · 14/07/2013 19:35

Don't worry about that, if all repetition was banned, how the hell would we cope?!

YellowWellies · 14/07/2013 19:42

Chasing I love the Ektorp sofa its soo comfy. Our spare bed is an IKEA one too (the white metal one they do) - its comfier than ours if it was a king size I'd want it in our room. Our next bed will definitely be from IKEA.

We've had a lovely day at Falkland palace and a wee organic farm with a great cafe nearby, it had a choice of 3 dairy free cakes I could have! slightly obsessed Last night we had pals over for dinner and drinks. It's been such a fab weekend. The weather, the company and the grub - I'm trying to forget the fact that next week all our baby groups are off for the summer and my sister will be going away so I'll be going stir crazy!!! Shock Shock Shock Shock

I'm meant to be off for a run later but might have eaten too much pasta - boak. Blush

ChasingDaisy · 14/07/2013 19:46

Ha madame...

So, my baby woke up loads last night...oh hang on, already said that...

I'm worried that my baby hasn't eaten enough solids today...oh, nope hang on...

Yay, It's sweary fucking Wednesday!....oh wait, we have already used up all the swear words and there is no repetition allowed....

ChasingDaisy · 14/07/2013 19:47

YW it is the white Ektorp sofa I am looking at and the white metal bed.... I want pretty, girly stuff. Poor O.

TheDetective · 14/07/2013 19:53

Evening!

It's whingebags r us here today. He's grumped his way through the day, finally giving up the grump, round about now. Just as I'm thinking thank fuck it is bed time, he is crawling round going 'nope, I don't think soooooooo' and looking rather happy with himself. I on the other hand have a bloody headache.

Could think of nothing worse than taking O the beach. Would be a nightmare given his ability to a) move b) eat fistfuls of shit and sand and c) be O. Hmm Shame though. Would love to go! Not yet though!

Been at MIL's, had bbq. SIL drove me a bit mad, but can't be arsed whinging.

YW I was made up to find all my baby groups are running through summer. Just the swimming that isn't. Was very grateful for this!

PurplePidjin · 14/07/2013 19:53

Pedal cars fab as always, such a silly thing to do but at the same time so much fun! R was a dream - had his three big buddies to play with - and i managed my first Robin's hip carry in the middle of the high street Shock:o I'm now stuffed full of sausage and burger and cous cous and lemon drizzle cake and homegrown strawberries!

Will post a pic of my immensely successful Heath Robinson shade bodge tent

Pikz · 14/07/2013 19:53

Ooooh I love an ikea me!

Big love chasing...what bedcovers you getting?

YW with all my nct babies born before me I am dreading them all going back to work! I shall be lost!

Bryzoan · 14/07/2013 19:55

If repetition was banned we'd have gone through a load less threads that is for sure.

Hugs chasing. If I was nearer mk I'd come and quiche meet / look at sofas with you.

Went swimming by myself this morning. It was so lovely. Then had a walk and beer by the canal with my parents and the kids and then a BBQ. So a lovely day - thanks all.

Dh has had a crapper day but has been a sweetheart with the BBQ.

Hope vq is feeling a bit better - also not sure I sent congrats to stunt's ds on h's trumpet exam but I meant to and hope all is ok in stunt towers.

Hope you have a better day tomorrow than you are anticipating madam

And pr - loving the mental image of your dog tied to the gate with a Hungarian phrasebook Grin.

Paeds for us tomorrow to try and get allergy testing and dietician referral. G looks really big and healthy so am expecting scepticism. Wish us luck!

ChasingDaisy · 14/07/2013 20:00

pikz I think there is a white set with pink rose buds on. My spare set is a yellow floral set from Next bought with XP's credit card the week before we split

BigPigLittlePig · 14/07/2013 20:16

Hahahaha another POW to the arsebadger there chasing - hope they were seriously girly. When I moved into my own place, I bought the girliest Ikea bed I could find. Poor dh is lumped with it now Grin but I had always wanted a girly bedroom boudoir. I even got a wardrobe which had a little key to turn Blush That's about the only time in my life I have ever been girly. Enjoy it though, have a lovely mooch and share the furniture porn when you're decided.

Bry glad you had a nice day - and I hope the appointment goes well.

Madam no word yet from the CM, so you may get to have some lighthearted entertainement from her direction/vent your rage.

Lush afternoon here, BBQ at a friends, kids in the paddling pool. F was a superstar, even having a late afternoon nap on their sofa, which gave her just enough oomph to polish off her dinner, have another quick dip and end the evening with smiles rather than shrieks. She's now crashed out in bed, bless her.

Back to work tomorrow, properly this time

Passmethecrisps · 14/07/2013 20:20

The ektorp is fabulous. We bought an ikea sofa for our first flat in 2003 - the same sofa is there looking fabulous and being the most comfy sofa ever. Sadly they don't do that one anymore. We wanted the ektorp for our house but the day we hired a van the store had none! So we have a different one which is also fabulous.

Almost everything in our house is Ikea. I also love the flowery stuff and I am not a girly girl. Ikea just make it look so lovely.

P loves eating grass. By and large I let her get on with it. Sand, maybe not.

Ladies, I need some packing for a holiday in France advice. Not urgent. In October. But I would like to plan ahead for the first time in my life

MissMummy1 · 14/07/2013 20:31

Glad you had a lovely day bry

V jealous of your safari adventure pass

Good luck at work tomorrow bplp - F will be fine in her wonderful new nursery Smile

I had a very basic IKEA sofa in my first flat but it was fantastic! Only advice would be to avoid a light coloured one - we have cream sofas and I wince everytime M is near them with food/vomminess/explosive nappy potential.
