Thought I'd take the liberty of starting a new thread since the last one filled. So mark your places, get comfy and prepare for a few sleepless nights!

In particular we think of Empress and little Sam - hoping and praying he's coming home! :)

Hope it hasn't turned out to be a nap MummyP - Evan was really grumpy so I fed him earlier than usual to get him to sleep; he had hardly anything and dropped straight off so we are also wondering what is going to happen this evening as we seemed to be in a nice routine too.

Trishstar · 28/06/2013 21:09

Weird night Nicky and mummy! H has just fallen asleep! Tho will change his nappy in a bit to wake him and see how much of his bottle he will have x

Dysgu · 28/06/2013 21:44

I suppose I could try that, Trish but I wonder if it will mean he will sleep longer or get the idea into his head that he can go back to waking every 3 hours. He is stirring a bit so I might just give it a go - at least it is Saturday tomorrow so DP will get up early and I can go back to sleep...

AmberLav · 29/06/2013 06:26

Typical! DS decided to wake all of us at 6.20am, when yesterday I had to wake him at 7.30am, so his dad could take h

AmberLav · 29/06/2013 06:29

Him to nursery! He has not worked out weekends yet!

E did really well - popped in bed at 9.30, went t

AmberLav · 29/06/2013 06:30

Blinking phone! She went till 2, then was woken by big brothers wailing!

Hope you all had decent nights too!

photochick · 29/06/2013 08:30

How come Sylvia can sleep through till 4 when it's daddys turn (he does Friday and Saturday middle of the night feeds) but not the rest of the week?

dysgu Sylvia seems to have set a similar routine as Evan, but then sometimes she just changes things up completely to to keep us on our toes. We go with her and don't wake her - she will let us know when she is hungry.

Anyone FF which brand are you using? We are on SMA as this was what they used in hospital but thinking of changing simply because it's the most expensive here by almost £2 a tin. I would welcome any recommendations.

Trishstar · 29/06/2013 08:36

Photo we use Aptamil and love it! Cow and Gate didn't agree with H xx

Aptamil is meant to be closest consistency to BM xx

MrsMummyP · 29/06/2013 08:42

Dysgu- woke after a nap and did the bedtime routine and then she slept for 7hours! I feel great!

MrsMummyP · 29/06/2013 10:44

urgh, but it was so not worth the seven hours sleep. My boobs are all engorged and she won't feed properly as the milk is coming out too quickly I think. Now she needs a nap and is tired and hungry. Sad

ratbagcatbag · 29/06/2013 12:12

Odd night here too, boo woke at 1:30, I fed her then normally hold her up for thirty mins, literally after five mins had to shove her in the cot and let it to the bathroom to be sick, by the time I'd got back shed been sick in cot so DH had to change it all, she was then wide awake and wanting to play. Ended up using vtech lullaby it took twenty mins. Mind you DH said does that work and was snoring after five mins lol. Not sure what the sick from me was all about as fine now. Just a strange night.

MrsMummyP · 29/06/2013 12:44

Gosh ratnag, hope that you are okay. Glad you are feeling better. Hope that the rest of your day continues more normally!

Trishstar · 29/06/2013 14:42

Poor you Emma! Hope you feel better now x

ratbagcatbag · 29/06/2013 16:37

Feel fine, it was very odd. :)

usernamegoeshere · 29/06/2013 17:33

Babies night at mil went fine! She took her feed before bed, but threw up in night, refused anything till 9am but slept well & was happy I think. She took Aptimil, we had sma for her as back up but she hated it!

Thing is though, since being back she is doing smelly farts & apparently her morning poo was a grown up smelly one... is this normal for FF babies?

Since I collected her she had 2 BF feeds, so I think we will go with combination feeding for the time being, I read to switch one feed each week which sounds fine, probably the pre bed feed to see if she goes longer!

Teapig · 29/06/2013 20:54

mrsmummy, the first couple of times Thea slept for 6+ hours my boobs were rock hard and massive. Funnily I don't get that now even when she sleeps for a massive 8 hour stretch as opposed to her usual 4-5 hours. I'm my supply has settled itself, hope you find the same.

ratbag I'm glad you're feeling better that sounds horrible.

user, great to hear that your LO had a good night at your mils.

I may be totally jumping the gun but Thea now seems to self settle. We used to get her to sleep on us and transfer her to the basket with baited breath. Now she goes down awake and is sleep within 10 mins, it feels like a big step forward for us. Bet I've gone and jinxed it now!

SneezySnatcher · 29/06/2013 21:39

Completely dropped off the thread - off to catch up now! I've been spending the evening trying on my old dresses to see which one I can wear for Henry's baptism! After ruling out the ones that won't fasten over my 30J breastfeeding boobs I've been left with one option! No idea about shoes though so I may go in bare feet.

Pearpeachplum · 29/06/2013 21:55

I haven't posted much but been lurking. DS 3 month growth spurt seems to have kicked in today. He's been extremely fussy and ravenously on the boob 24/7. Confused I feel like crying....

Has anyone else's LO going through the same?

Will catch up once I get a chance.

LikeCandy · 30/06/2013 09:00

1year today since my LMP - odd thing to celebrate but BabyCandy is a year in the making as of today!! :D
weirdo

Teapig · 30/06/2013 18:36

likecandy, congratulations on reaching the year milestone! I know what you mean, this time last year I was stressing that I wasn't getting upduffed after a mmc in November. Amazing that this time last year we had no idea the BFP was just around the corner and now here we all are with our own little miracles.

peachpearplum, Thea had a growth spurt last week and I was exhausted. It only lasted a day and then she was back to normal. Hang on in there, you're doing amazingly and it will pass.

Pearpeachplum · 30/06/2013 22:15

Thanx for the support Tea, N's growth spurt is going for longer... I'm shattered. He woke last night twice just after settling into 7 hour stretches and hasn't slept much all day either. My boobs are achy today. I just hope it's over tmw.

Jo1984uk · 01/07/2013 05:41

pearpeach Sofia is 12 weeks now, she has been waking up early for the past few days (around 5) where as usually she would feed and go back to sleep. She has also been eating more during this time, it's only just dawned on me after reading ur post that it's probably due to another growth spurt Smile she has also suddenly out grown her Moses basket, I feel so guilty as her head and feet go from top to bottom.. In fact she cant really kick out properly now bless her! Her cot gets delivered tomorrow there was me thinking she would be in it til 6 months Hang in there though, it hopefully shouldn't last that much longer!

catherine19 · 01/07/2013 12:23

Just wanted to say hello, I'm late to the whole mums net thing and never thought about the antenatal groups turning to post natal! Just another example of my post baby intellegance. Ds is 11wks and the growth spurt stuff seams to make sense for him to!
Jo, my 'little man' has been in his cot since six wks for the same reason, u was really sad cos this meant him being I. His own room because we can't fit the cot in ours, on the plus side he sleeps better in there and it's amazing to see how much he moves round just from wiggling and kicking now there is space!

Trishstar · 01/07/2013 14:54

Welcome Catherine!!! We will have to put our Mr in his cot soon! The crib is too small! Thankfully the cot can fit in our room I think! (Moving to a new house in a few weeks) xx

catherine19 · 01/07/2013 15:54

Other then for the obvious reason, is anyone else having probs sleeping themselves? Ds is now sleeping or at least happy in his cot from about 11-12 till 6am when dh is up for work it seems to take me ages to get to sleep and I can't sleep during the day even when I'm shattered!
