Please give your baby's favourite foods so we can get some ideas from each other.

Det dh is the same. It drives me mad Grin. You should see his face when I give F the spoon at the end, with a bit of puree still clinging onto it - just ripe for spreading into hair/eyes/nose etc. Green around the gills is an understatement.

Pikz · 22/05/2013 15:30

DP gone to jump out of perfectly good aeroplanes so attempting to knacker LO out in jumperoo

Titsalinabumsquash · 22/05/2013 15:31

petite we only have a shower and J is too big for the baby bath now, I've been taking him to my sisters to have a proper bath, in between that he's been bathed in the kitchen sink and the kids empt toy hippo bucket Grin

PetiteRaleuse · 22/05/2013 15:37

tits I would manage kitchen or bathroom sink baths if the ones in my house weren't so stupidly impractically shallow. I hate our sinks.

PurplePidjin · 22/05/2013 15:47

I made green alien goo

1 bag spinach, 1/2 head broccoli, 1oz grated cheese. Steam veggies, stir in cheese to melt. To be served with pasta, or possibly spread on toast :)

Interesting article

FatimaLovesBread · 22/05/2013 15:48

Ahhh I'm struggling to condense packing for camping. Might just take a large suitcase full of all our stuff and be done with it.
Was hoping to fit all mine and DHs stuff in the hold all and Ms in the small suitcase. Might have to switch to the medium suitcase or two small.
ignores fact that I have to fit it all in the boot

Oh MM I had a dream about you the night before last!

ValiumQueen · 22/05/2013 15:54

Fatima get a top box Grin

PR download a Pou. They are much better than cunty sweet fucker thingy crush.

ValiumQueen · 22/05/2013 15:57

If you have a Pou we could have virtual play dates.

I could be obsessive with cleaning him. Found it so hard with DD1, but I am not so bad now. I can even tolerate a snotty nose for a few minutes, although the girls are very efficient at cleaning them out themselves.

BigPigLittlePig · 22/05/2013 16:08

I feel a bit obsessed with poo lately, but F is now doing lovely yellow poos. Not green. Not slimy, but yellow, unstinky, ebm poos. She's never done these! Never! I got a bit worried thinking that something was wrong, but then realised, the stinky green slime she's had for 6 months was wrong, and this is what people are talking about when they say baby poo is unoffensive.

Promise not to talk much about poo any more.

Pidj alien goo sounds, er, tasty! We made frogspawn (pureed kiwi) the other week. It was about as popular as actual frogspawn.
Pikz you dh needs his head looked at Grin - lunatic!

PurplePidjin · 22/05/2013 16:15

Ectoplasm (pureed broccoli with cheese) went down so well, i decided to elaborate for tomorrow Wink

Where do i start with meat, please? Just go straight in with a plain bolognaise sauce, or add a bit of chicken to his lunchtime pasta?

MissMummy1 · 22/05/2013 16:16

Fatima about me?!

I am fine. Just very pissed off with the stropping manchild. An argument is always inevitable when he is on nights Confused

In other news, Matilda said Da to dp this morning. And then the man next door. And then the ikea tillman. And then the man in the swimming pool. All men in Matilda's world are 'da' ... Hmm Blush

BigPigLittlePig · 22/05/2013 16:16

We have yet to try anything on the green spectrum. Feet firmly in Camp Orange at the moment!

ValiumQueen · 22/05/2013 16:39

YW you can get lots of fancy thermometers but the basic soft end digital under the arm job is fine. You can get them for a couple of quid at tesco and they are the most accurate for little ones. DH bought me one for £38 and I always double check with a cheapie as sometimes it gives stupid readings.

GTbaby · 22/05/2013 16:44

SWEARY WEDNESDAY?!?! where the fucks it's gone?

No one is pissed off enough lol.

I've been moved bk to mw led care. So that's good. Watching dexter (seties 5.0mg) now as LO is asleep. At my mums so get to sit on sofa all day.

I'm a crazy clean mummy feeder. Maybe that's why I'm having trouble with blw? I guess I need to let him just chuck the food around, maybe some elfresco dinning in needed? At least then I don't have to worry about the cream carpet.

PetiteRaleuse · 22/05/2013 17:03

I've been swearing GT :o Dexter series 5 was my favourite. Was that the one with Trinity?

Agree with VQ the cheapest thermometers are the best. I think you have to add 0.5° when done under the arm. I, of course, do a rectal reading in kids. Would you expect anything else?

DD1 fell off her armchair sideways on to her head earlier. Keeping an eye on her but she seems fine.

Roast lamb and roast potatoes and carrots tonight. Will give some veg to LO to taste but I think lamb itself might be a bit strong.

Cacacaz · 22/05/2013 17:08

Hello everyone, long time no post!

YW we have a Braun digital thermometer. It was recommended by my ex bosses who are GPS. How are you and J?

fatima I would love to attempt camping with M. I am not brave enough though.

We bath every second night here with just a wipe down in between.

So far M has been having food at lunch time. I think I shall offer him some tea tonight. He has enjoyed carrot, butternut squash, sweet potato, courgette and parsnip. Butternut squash is a firm favourite.

Small dude awake, will try to post more often!

Kyzordz · 22/05/2013 17:30

Hi all. I plan on a huge catch up later once lo has settled.

Elyza is stable, they are no longer sure what is causing her to stop breathing, it still might be bronchiofuckinglitis but it seems these episodes occur within half an hour of a good feed so now they are throwing the idea of reflux around alot. I do not know what to think. She had to have a lumbar puncture to rule out meningitis. I keep hearing her screaming in my head. My poor mum is beside herself and exhausted. I didnt know what to tell the kids but I went with the truth for the 22, 18, 17 and 15 year olds and a very soft version of the truth for the sen 13 yo and 11yo. I hope that is ok.

eric is eating solids alot better and has tried lots. He wants to do blw so he is offered finger foods and purees each meal. I usually have to give him a loaded spoon as thats how he likes to do purees and yoghurt but that's ok right?

also I was at the hospital all day yesterday and e was with mil and dp. I said not to worry about solids because its alot of faff and it was an awful day, I thought that would be ok but then he hasn't had any today either. Will he be ok if I dont manage much for a few days? May manage fruit tomorrow breakfast but when I have to leave him with jusf mil and he makes so much mess it seems alot to ask of her.

I really hope to catch up hope youre all ok. Sorry this is short xx

PetiteRaleuse · 22/05/2013 17:41

kyz he will be fine off solids for a couple of days. LO likes to feed ehrself too both with finger foods and spoon stuff. handing over a loaded spoon is fine.

I am so sorry your little sister is so poorly. You and your mum must be frantic. It sounds like they are doing thorough checks, and she is definitely in the right place. Try and´make sure you and your mum rest as well. Sounds like you are handling your siblings just right. I jope they find out what is wrong very soon. She is vy young so will forget all about her trip to hospital very quickly. Lumbar punctures sound horrible but it's best that they did it.

ChasingDaisy · 22/05/2013 17:43

Help please! O has come out in a rash after eating apricot. Pic on fb. Advice please, I'm worrying Confused

ValiumQueen · 22/05/2013 17:47

Phone NHS 24 if you are worried chasing. Ambulance if any problems with breathing or swelling around face and neck.

GTbaby · 22/05/2013 17:48

PR. trinity was series 4. Hated it towards endSad.

Kzy. Omgoodness. How scary for you. big hugs and good thoughts to you all x

ValiumQueen · 22/05/2013 18:06

I too love the trinity series best.

Our fancy thermometer is a Braun Thermoscan and I think it is the best of that type. A lot of money though.

ValiumQueen · 22/05/2013 18:06

Thinking of you all kyz x

ValiumQueen · 22/05/2013 18:19

PR hope DD1 is ok.
