Please give your baby's favourite foods so we can get some ideas from each other.

Ooo eeeewwwwww embarrassing bodies.

ChasingDaisy · 28/05/2013 20:23

I always 'knew' O was a boy. I can see myself having a family of boys and would really love that.

The mesh feeders sound interesting. Where can you get them from?

Once again, hats off to all of you dealing with intolerances, it must be so difficult and you are all such awesome mummies to your babies.

I am having weaning wobbles. Scared about offering fruit after his apricot reaction and I'm worried that he's not actually ingesting much food. Is that just the norm for blw? Might try him on purees again tomorrow, just to see if he will take them.

Feeling a bit overwhelmed by the responsibility of it all.

Also feeling a bit sad that the inlaws didn't mention O's 'birthday' today when they made a fuss over his cousin's 6 months ago. I have managed to avoid contact with them for the most part since Storming Out of Restaurant - gate a few weeks ago but it is P's birthday meal on Saturday and I can't really avoid that one. Utterly dreading it. I know it is going to be awful and I will feel judged when O cries. Bleurgh.

*his cousins 6 month birthday 2 weeks ago

Sophiathesnowfairy · 28/05/2013 20:25

Ooh now it's sad as they have the QE teen cancer ward on there and I used to cut through that ward to go and see mum who was in the unit next door when she was so ill leading up to her death. Sad

((((Sophia))))

Sophiathesnowfairy · 28/05/2013 20:38

Thanks vq

Sophiathesnowfairy · 28/05/2013 20:44

Right. Am after some quiche wisdom.

I have made a small cock up.

When I get paid I usually go online to pay off my credit card as it is due a couple of days later.

This month I did it and thought nothing of it.

Today ( over a week later) I have a later saying I have a late payment charge.

I went onto my credit card website and checked. I obviously hadn't pressed confirm.

I made a payment as soon as I saw it.

Is one late payment going to affect my credit rating? I need to apply for a loan in August for a new car and am worried I have cocked up my chances.

If I clear the credit card( it was massive after my divorce and I have been plugging away at it so will only have £200 to clear now so can easily do that) will that help my credit rating?

I am kicking myself doubly.

StuntNun · 28/05/2013 20:59

Sophia I suggest you look at your credit rating on Experian. It costs around £12 but I had my mortgage application rejected earlier in the year because I had a default on my credit rating. It was for £10 from Orange and I didn't know anything about it because I had actually paid my bill in full and they had put the default on my credit rating by mistake. When you go on the website Experian will advise you on ways to improve your credit rating. For example they suggested that DH take out a loan so that he could demonstrate that he made repayments.

sophia I doubt it. Try experian they will give you your credit rating. As a one off though it'll not matter too much I wouldn't think.

det glad o is ok. Yes the pre made stuff is expensive!! I was happy when e decide I can cook!!

Sophiathesnowfairy · 28/05/2013 21:08

Thanks you two. I have an Experian account it's 999 at the moment, they had suggested that going on the electoral roll would help. We weren't on it at this address as we were just renting but we have decided to do that this week. I will double check though if paying the card off in full will help.

TheDetective · 28/05/2013 21:11

You really need to be on the ER Sophia. I'm pretty sure you won't get a loan without.

Also, it takes a couple of months to update. So get it done, and now!!

FatimaLovesBread · 28/05/2013 21:13

Congratulations on another boy GT

Early night for me, I feel worn out a lot so hoping an early night will perk me up.

ValiumQueen · 28/05/2013 21:20

I am in bed and everyone is asleep

ValiumQueen · 28/05/2013 21:22

Fuck it. Posted too soon! Anyway, J is much much better. I was prodding him earlier as I could not hear him breathing, then remembered that is how it should be Smile

Inlaws have gone, and it wasn't too bad.

Been thinking about work. I do not want to go back but I have to. Hmm

TheDetective · 28/05/2013 21:23

And I am jealous Grin.

DS1 just walked back in the door from being at his dads. I want to go to bed. .

Evilwater · 28/05/2013 21:24

Just checking in,
I'm feeling down for the past few days, and P isn't helping. Ok, a burger wasn't he best idea for a finger food, but I'm running out of ideas. p went mental, where's that 2x4? p thinks I'm rushing things. n seems to want to have baby food forever.

I also think my parents are a little pissed, as I'm around there's alot.

TheDetective · 28/05/2013 21:25

I have a phone call from OH tomorrow. They wanted me to go in. I don't see the point. What can they do?!! Told them I have a lot of appointments coming up - true - and could it be discussed over the phone. Thank goodness they agreed probably realising that broken fanjos aren't ever going to be helped by them.

I am not liking being reminded of work right now. My head can't cope with the thought.

I had to pay £100 for my NMC fees this month. I felt rather stabby. Hmm

GTbaby · 28/05/2013 21:26

Thank you all. I'm still getting used to the idea of two boys.
Will have to go for another scan to finish all the checks.

No names yet. Going through the whole random letter chosen at temple palava. Hmm

horseylady · 28/05/2013 21:27

vq SLEEP!!!! When do you go back? It's all coming quite fast now !!

evil there's so much food and no rush. Just keep offering and keep it healthy and varied.

Evilwater · 28/05/2013 21:29

PetiteRaleuse · 28/05/2013 21:29

Where does one buy a mesh feeder? I will pick one up when in England. I've been giving LO soft fruit to eat already but it does sound like a good idea, and DH is very paranoid about choking so he would be reassured.

sophia it would probably depend on the lender. Some, especially if they have been particularly hard hit by unpaid loans, are very silly about these things. But I believe things are improving, and one black mark shouldn't harm you. It will be on your experian record though. If, when you get your report, you see that you are linked to some people, your ex for example, or anyone that you have shared a house with in the past few years, you can ask them to be removed.

PetiteRaleuse · 28/05/2013 21:32

Ha vq you've found the good point (singular) of chest infections. Able to hear them breathe pretty much anywhere in the house. I poked LO a few times when she stopped being ill so much as the silence freaked me out :o

ValiumQueen · 28/05/2013 21:35

I am gonna sleep shortly.

Go back in six weeks but taking leave so will physically be back end of August. I feel as if I am yet to 'enjoy' J. Hope to start solids for the third time tomorrow.

Need to sort a car before I go back to work as DH is using mine. Hope to get a lease car through work but that will mean I have to stay working there. My boss wants to meet with me but I have yet to get there due to J and his problems.

It will all seem better after a sleep. Hopefully.

Need to get a lottery ticket too.

ValiumQueen · 28/05/2013 21:38

Glad I am not the only one PR. I have seen the mesh things in most supermarkets. They look like a bugger to wash.

ValiumQueen · 28/05/2013 21:42

My inlaws asked if there was anything the kids needed so I said not really, and deffo no toys or clothes. What do they go and buy? Clothes. And cream clothes too! I know I am being ungrateful, but on mat pay some nappies or wipes would have been more appreciated. I shall say that next time.
