Please give your baby's favourite foods so we can get some ideas from each other.

Luis really think you should so see a sports therapist. Massage or Physio. When my backs been bad it really helped. I understand not having time for regular exercise, but can you fit in a sports massage once a week? Please please look into it.

ChasingDaisy · 27/05/2013 03:26

bry hope G has gone the fuck to sleep now!

Lily311 · 27/05/2013 05:25

pass thank you, you are so kind.

O woke only once, yey. Every night when I put her in her cot I tell her to sleep well and if she really needs to wake than just wake once. The last 4 nights it worked-not the past 6 months before than obv.

I love the bedroom descriptions. O has adult furnitures in her room apart from cot so I really need to decorate it well. I am looking for a ceiling fan for her room, it's 40 degrees here over the summer and although we have air conditioning I rather not use it much with her.

The window shutters are arriving today as well as the sofa and ikea furnitures. Busy day ahead.

fruitpastilles · 27/05/2013 06:16

Morning all, bryz I hope G went to sleep in the end.
I too am loving seeing all of the pictures of your baby's rooms, although S is in her own room we still haven't decorated it, I don't really have any ideas yet on how to do it and didn't want to half heartedly throw a bit of paint around.
An ok night here, up for the day at 5:45 and S is currently playing with her noisiest toys gave her them to play with in the hope it wakes dp who didn't come to bed until 3 and woke me up getting in

Oh det well done O Smile

Thanks chasing! He did in the end but only because I caved and let him in with me.

Luis - I am with gt on the sports physio. Could make quite a long term difference I think.

Lily - lovely to hear you are settling well. It's quite exciting seeing you build your new home.

Bryzoan · 27/05/2013 06:42

Thanks fruit! I think we are up now too. Dd woke at 5.30 and woke up g. Dd went back to sleep but g is only just resettling now. And dd Is just waking for the day. Dh is asleep. Loving your noisy toys :-)

Ooh - I take that back. Dh has just got up to go to dd. Good dh.

ValiumQueen · 27/05/2013 07:20

Thank you Pennie. I really should go there.

J slept well, from 7.30 to 6 without a murmur. As did the girls, so I feel I had a proper nights sleep. I had funny dreams though.

I am no good at asking people to wash up etc. I think it comes from having a mother who always did everything.

PetiteRaleuse · 27/05/2013 07:20

Morning. I've been up since before 3!!! Nothing to do with the children and everything to do with insomnia. I first went to the kitchen to get a drink and saw that last night's dishes were still on the table, when DH had promised to deal with the dishwasher begore going to bed. I went back to bed filled with the kind of rage you can only get in the middle of the night and started thinking about work. Bad move. Got up and cleaned the bathroom and kitchen and watched the sunrise.

I should be knackered and bad temperedbut I actually feel quite relaxed and positive. Long may that last.

Happy bank holiday everyone. It isn't one here (but we had 4 in May already)

TheDetective · 27/05/2013 08:29

O slept til his new usual of 4am and then fed. stupid DP put him back in the swaddle - I've no idea why?! I asked him and he said 'so he sleeps' hmmm well what do you think he had done for the 8 hours previous?! He is also learning self settling. Yippeeee!

I noticed now he is able to push up with his hands, pick small toys up and pass them hand to hand, his conductor tendencies have subsided over the last few days. His swaddle is quite loose which I think has helped transition him out of it without me noticing.

Is it time to say bye bye regression?? Is it?? Really????? Don't want to tempt fate.

Me and O just got up for the day Grin. Clever mummy saying I would get up with him this morning if DP did night feed. Mwhahahaha!!!

TheDetective · 27/05/2013 08:38

No one better dare mention the 8 month one or I will come after your ass so fast you won't even see me. Faster than the speed of light!

ChasingDaisy · 27/05/2013 08:45

Poor teething baby here. I can feel a swollen lump on his lower gum and he is chewing everything in sight. Really hope it pops through soon. OK-ish night last night. 7.30-12.15-3.15-6.30.

Think his teeth are unsettling him a bit but he managed to self settle after the first feed so he's getting there.

Really hoping I get some time off to relax today. I told P that I need just one hour to myself every week. One hour. Let's see if it happens Hmm

Bryzoan · 27/05/2013 08:49

Poor pr - I hate it when that happens. Hope you get to crash later.

Well vq - I think you had better start practicing asking dh to wash up at least... If only to set your girls and j a more positive example Smile.

PetiteRaleuse · 27/05/2013 09:10

Cocked up hospital appointments. Was due a gastrscopy on Wednesday but realised during the night that I have to see the consultant first. So have cancelled and will see him end of July :)

Which means if I need a gastrscopy it will have to wait. Yay. It's not urgent. I'm in no hurry to have a camera shoved down my throat and into my stomach tyvm.

ValiumQueen · 27/05/2013 09:18

Bry you are right.

PetiteRaleuse · 27/05/2013 09:30

GastrOscopy

Two weeks til my holidays.

Can't wait. NEED a holiday.

Elizadoesdolittle · 27/05/2013 09:44

Right have sort of court up with thread so here's what I remember:

chasing well done on making the brave first step to freedom and a better safer happier life for you and O. I hope women's aid give you the help and support you need to you know you have the full quiche backup whenever you need us.

lily Im so glad you are settling in to your new life ok. O sounds (and looks like by the pictures) like she's doing wonderfully.

detective it's good to hear that things are returning back to normal with you. I hope DP was particularly grovelling when he returned.

Bah forgotten most of what else I was going to say.

Re E's room, she is in it how it was decorated for DD1 originally. It's a jungle theme too. She has a giraffe height chart on the wall. Although its currently showing DD1's height so a bit misleading! I'll add E to it soon. DH drew it. He drew all the animals on the walls in fact. I'll put some photos up.

Elizadoesdolittle · 27/05/2013 09:47

God spelling on that post was atrocious, sorry!

pr hurray for holidays. I go mid June, can't bloody wait. Although not looking forward to the actual travelling bit.

TheDetective · 27/05/2013 09:57

He was Eliza. He knows he was being a dick. He just bottles stuff up and doesn't talk. Lots of words have been had.

Grrrrrr.

ChasingDaisy · 27/05/2013 10:40

6 months ago I was on my way to the hospital to be induced Smile

PetiteRaleuse · 27/05/2013 13:01

Fucking dog escaped again this morning. I don't know what to do to make the back garden more secure. He went after a cat next door, then from next door's garden onto the street and through most people's front yards, into back gardens. Would run back towards me then run off again. I had to leave the girls on their own for 10 minutes. LO was safe in her playpen, and DD 1 was watching from the garden gate but anything could have happened.

He could have run into a car? Caused an accident for which I would have been liable? DD1 could easily have run off into the garden and hurt herself. Or run off back inside and hurt LO? Or LO could have hurt herself?

I am sick of so much stress being caused by a dog. And I can't blame him, he was just being a dog. But I don't know what to do to make the garden more secure. We are renting, I can't invest in putting in higher fences or walls. And the fence is already high. Higher than the one we had in the last place and he never chased cats there.

TheDetective · 27/05/2013 13:25

How is he getting out? Jumping the fence? If so can you clip some bamboo type fencing to the top of the fence so it's higher?

DP just came in to tell me our back gate is wide open. Why? No one knows. Hmm the dog has been out there 3 times this morning alone. She is thick though...!

I've just had a 2.5 hour nap. Same as O!!! Awesome!!!!

TheDetective · 27/05/2013 13:33

It's only taken 6 months to 'sleep when the baby sleeps' Grin. Oh. We have put the sleep down to his milk by the way. A combination of regression and traffic as he wasn't getting in to a deep sleep possibly due to the milk giving him tummy pain.

I am looking at O, he is wearing a 3-6 month babygrow. I bought this and he wore it at 7 weeks old. How is he still in it? Or any of the 3-6 month stuff?! Baby clothes are odd sizes!!

Lily311 · 27/05/2013 13:38

Shutters are up, O is asleep for the first time in her bedroom (on a mattress as the room is not ready yet). Now waiting for sofa and furnitures.

She has 2 teeth. She didn't have any yest. And decided to roll. Again and again. She hasn't done that in front of anyone yet, today is the first day. Lots of first things.
