Poor J VQ. He has no end of troubles. For what it's worth I do think that if there is headroom for an increase in ranitidine then it is worth a go. Omperazole is great stuff but not great in the long term. I was a bit 
about moving to it and I genuinely wouldn't have done had it not seemed that P's reflux was not being managed any more by ranitidine. There was no headroom with the dosage so nowhere else to go. I also agree that it sounds as though you are being listened to at least - discussion about upping dosage is at least an acknowledgment of the difficulty which is more than you have had in the past.
Also WRT the cud chewing P does two things both of which look like cud chewing. The difference is that with one her face is screwed up and it tends to be over pretty quickly. The other is a sort of absent minded thing with a completely ambivalent expression. I presume the wincy expression - which she has done from weeks old - is acid while the other is teeth and also the discovery of her own tongue.
kyz I am so chuffed that E is getting out today. Stuff cooking I think you should get a takeaway. You certainly deserve it.
