Please give your baby's favourite foods so we can get some ideas from each other.

Damn. My poor ears are forever going to suffer.

At which age do you think I can break it to her that she can't sing? :o

PurplePidjin · 24/05/2013 16:33

Before the X Fucktor audition please PR Hmm

PetiteRaleuse · 24/05/2013 16:39

Definitely. Ritual public humiliation of children isn't my thing :o

QQ for quichesters with ff reflux babies... I have to leave J for nine hours tomorrow Confused to go to an OU tutorial in Dublin FFS so I will be leaving him with a bottle of EBM and a bottle of formula which will be made up in advance gasp in horror at my wayward bottle making skills. Can I put the Gaviscon in when I make the bottle up or does it have to be added immediately before consumption?

Hallo ladies and gent. I have been trying to get on all day to no avail.

Poor LO madame. Fingers crossed for and end to illness soon.

Your night sounded hellish BP. Those doors had better be really fucking thick!

Poor J VQ. He has no end of troubles. For what it's worth I do think that if there is headroom for an increase in ranitidine then it is worth a go. Omperazole is great stuff but not great in the long term. I was a bit Hmm about moving to it and I genuinely wouldn't have done had it not seemed that P's reflux was not being managed any more by ranitidine. There was no headroom with the dosage so nowhere else to go. I also agree that it sounds as though you are being listened to at least - discussion about upping dosage is at least an acknowledgment of the difficulty which is more than you have had in the past.

Also WRT the cud chewing P does two things both of which look like cud chewing. The difference is that with one her face is screwed up and it tends to be over pretty quickly. The other is a sort of absent minded thing with a completely ambivalent expression. I presume the wincy expression - which she has done from weeks old - is acid while the other is teeth and also the discovery of her own tongue.

kyz I am so chuffed that E is getting out today. Stuff cooking I think you should get a takeaway. You certainly deserve it.

Izzybuzzybuzzybees · 24/05/2013 18:01

Shite night as per but I'm currently running a bath which will be child free!

Then tonight the plan is cinema with DH then a long lie tomorrow followed by lovely lunch, spa, lounging, dinner chi cocktails, full nights sleep again, fab full Scottish breakfast and more spa!

BigPigLittlePig · 24/05/2013 19:48

OMG peeps.

5oz of ebm guzzled. Calpol and ranitidine slurped. Quickest of quick breast feeds. 5 minutes of rocking. No transfer fails. Bed at 7.15.

I feel a bit redundant Confused and not sure quite what to do with myself washing my hair would be a good start

ChasingDaisy · 24/05/2013 20:14

MN is unbroken!

pig I have everything crossed that you get a good night tonight. You can have all my sleepy dust plus the spare I found down the back of the sofa.

Bank hol weekend so P off work for 3 days. Fun fun fun. More inlaw shit again today. Have cut off all contact, blocked on fb etc.

ChasingDaisy · 24/05/2013 20:15

Oh izzy that sounds amazing! Enjoy every single second of it.

BigPigLittlePig · 24/05/2013 20:18

Good on ya chasing.

Also relieved MN unbroken as was unsure what to do for a few moments.

One waking already, but rocked back to sleep in about 10 minutes, cot now propped up even more.

The cat keeps trying to be sick.

I am a broken woman. I can not clean up cat sick. I just can't.

ChasingDaisy · 24/05/2013 20:26

Did you manage to get any sleep today?

BigPigLittlePig · 24/05/2013 20:28

45 minutes. Which has doubled my sleep in the past 24 hours. In the past 48 hours I have had 4 hours sleep max. 4 hours.

ChasingDaisy · 24/05/2013 20:36

Sad You must be broken. I hope DH is looking after you.

Was just chatting to a lass I went to school with - her mum takes her baby two half days and one or two evenings a week. She was whinging about how tiring parenting is. Thinking of folks on the quiche like you BP I could've easily slapped her. If she chooses to spend that time in a pub - rather than sleeping - she's not even heard of tired Envy Envy Envy Envy Envy and anything is bearable when you're getting time off every other day Angry

Kyzordz · 24/05/2013 20:40

Evilwater · 24/05/2013 21:05

Well it's been a weird day, I wonder if it has something to do with the full moon. N has slept most of the day, it's not like him he is always up and about.

Oh big I hope you get sleep soon.

Evil

BigPigLittlePig · 24/05/2013 21:10

Full moon always makes the elderly patients come out to play Grin

ChasingDaisy · 24/05/2013 21:14

When I worked in a call centre, all the very odd people used to call when it was a full moon.

PurplePidjin · 24/05/2013 21:24

I got bored with no MN so churned some slings - am swapping the one i bought (in the fb picture) for a clippy carrier for dp - he's currently got a plain brown borrowed one, this one has little cartoon skull and cross boneses :o And I have the fabulous one Pass sent me, which us imbued with sleepy dust. Two walks out today and he fell asleep both times! Normally he only does proper naps if we're at home and do the routine!

He went down exactly 3 hours ago

Brew
ChasingDaisy · 24/05/2013 21:32

Fingers crossed for a good night for you pidj

O went down at 8 and not a peep so far.

Looking at newborn photos of him. I look at them now and can see my Oscar but it makes me sad that I didn't bond with him straight away. I spent my 48 hours on the PN ward crying, struggling with bf, not eating anything and not getting a single minute of sleep. When I got home I was still in shock and felt useless. I was scared I wouldn't love him Sad. Thank god that changed.

It's weird, I never think back to those first few days much but I think coming up to the 6 month anniversary is bringing it all back.
