Please give your baby's favourite foods so we can get some ideas from each other.

Today I laughed at the comedic value of kids.

Asked SIL to hold LO while I checked our dinner. He puked all over her.
While I went up to get her a change of top she changed his baby grow. N thought she would change nappy while at it. He then did a wee on her. I couldn't stop laughing.
She then bathed him. As she took him out of the bath I was thinking come on baby, Mk it the triple. Poo on her. Lmao. Evil laugh.

BigPigLittlePig · 24/05/2013 03:52

I haven't slept yet. Currently sat downstairs with a wide awake baby. She is so bloody windy. I'm sure it's that keeping her awake, as she's writhing around and drawing her legs up. I've tried her on her sides (both), tummy and back, I've massaged her tummy, she's got a clean nappy, she's even had defrosted EBM so she's def not hungry anymore Confused.

Dead. Man. Walking.

VQ sounds dreadful.

Just had 8 hours solid sleep with absolutely no murmurs til now. Took 40 mins to settle him mind. But yay! Hopefully that's me til morning now!!

BigPigLittlePig · 24/05/2013 04:14

Well done O - please teach F how to do it.

Envy

Every 3 hours on the nose here. Although hopefully that gives me dp a lie in till 7:30...

ChasingDaisy · 24/05/2013 04:32

pig Sad

Dixiebell · 24/05/2013 04:34

Well done O. BPLP, so sorry, hope you get her down soon.

On 2nd feed since 10.30. Only put him down just over an hour ago so I asked DH to shush him instead. DH got up, did a couple of halfhearted shushes then just stood there. I asked what he was doing and he said, I don't think shushing's going to work. So his technique is just to stand and watch Ted crying?! So I've had to get up and feed again. DH said I was just waiting for him to calm down. Well he's blatantly needing some help with that! Thanks for that one, DH. Confused

BigPigLittlePig · 24/05/2013 04:34

Even the cat can't keep his eyes open. He keeps faceplanting the rug.

ChasingDaisy · 24/05/2013 04:37

No Luis tonight? I hope that means you're sleeping.

Lily311 · 24/05/2013 05:08

I wrote a long post last night and as I hit send button mumsnet went offline. Grrr.

Sorry for poorly babies and their mummies, O still has cold but seems better. She woke twice last night, I can deal with that.

Social services was fine, i needed to sign a paper that I really wanted the court case for paternity. They were very nice and said the court informed them as it involves a child and they are fully supportive. I managed to keep it together.

Than went for a haircut, O was cuddled by some strangers which she loved. This is the child who screamed for 19 weeks when a stranger even looked at her.

No plans for today apart from backing up my pictures and videos. I'm terrible at it.

Thechick · 24/05/2013 06:09

Daisy it's so hard whether to use adjusted or actual age with our babies. I think with H his sleep regressions have mostly happened with adjusted, I think most things are adjusted. He can only sit up for a few seconds, he's just getting the hand eye coordination thing. He's not crawling but can give a good shuffle and he's 7 and a half months.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 24/05/2013 06:35

Ohhhhh yesterday was a roller coaster. I felt so drained at the end of it. We are undergoing a restructure at work and as you can imagine those who have jobs want VR, those who have to aspire to new positions are unhappy!

I asked for my enhanced parental leave and was told quite coldly I would have to pay back part of my Mat Pay, despite the fact I now have to o as DH has a new job. Que tears and stress at my desk drawling through the HR policies. I haven't got £9000 to give. Then another manager who I am friendly with pointed out I had asked for the wrong leave I needed a different kid of parental leave where I don't ave to reign. Que joy. In between that there was a massive ding dong between my team leader and my colleague, I escaped to Sainsbos at lunch to find other colleagues crying there it was a horrible day.

That is it in short.

Home for a bottle of wine and catch up with stuff on sky planner. My DH helps me get it all in perspective.

PetiteRaleuse · 24/05/2013 07:09

I miss office politics sometimes sophia

I really need to rant about work but I don't trust here or FB.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 24/05/2013 07:47

I will not miss office politics!

horseylady · 24/05/2013 07:59

vq I think that's my plan. Reduce solids, see gp.

I dont think its an intolerance. I'm fairly certain it's not an intolerance. He's not in pain, his poo is fine. He just voms. All the time is feels. I'm sure it's not all the time.

I'm thinking of stopping finger foods though. Which is a Shane as he loves to play with it and is doing so well. I might post about it in weaning.

horseylady · 24/05/2013 08:14

Sophia are you leaving your job? I missed that?!

StuntNun · 24/05/2013 08:15

After last night there better be a brand new tooth coming through today. DH ended up sitting up in bed cuddling J for a while in the middle of the night plus numerous transfer fails, dummy reinsertions, Calpol and teething gel. I didn't realise that reflux got worse during teething but we're back to puking, back arching, pulling away during feeds etc. It's not as bad as before he was medicated but I had got used to not smelling of baby vom all the time. Confused

1 hour. 1 measly fucking hour of sleep last night. I have told dh in no uncertain terms, that he is taking dsd out of the house and entertaining her this afternoon so I can sleep when F has her afternoon nap.

I think half the problem is that she is starving hungry. I wonder whether I am producing enough milk now to sustain her. Introducing formula during the day will hopefully help, as I shouldn't be so (literally) drained by the end of the day. I plan to start on Monday. She can have some ebm at night in the meantime.

Stunt fc for a whole mouthful of teeth.
Horsey no bright ideas I'm afraid, but hope you can get some answers.
Sophia I hope the non-resigning option works out for you.

To cap off my shitty night, thrush is causing merry havoc not to mention pain, my right knee is randomly stiff, painful and swollen, and I have a crick in my neck.

fruitpastilles · 24/05/2013 08:36

Hugs bp I don't know how you are functioning! I thought 2.5 hours was bad.
horsey S is exactly the same, I've never known a baby vom so much. I think I have got used to it now, but my mum had her yesterday while I went to the dentist and she said its not normal. I thought it would get better with solids but it hasn't really.
vq I hope you get some answers at the doctors, for both J and yourself!
How's Elyza today kyz ?
det yay for 7 hours!!

I had a bit of a better night with S last night, I am determined to get her out of our bed and so I slept on her floor, she actually slept in her cot all night, with just 4 wake ups that just needed hand holding, massive progress for us, I hope this is the start of her not screaming to get out of the cot!

Thanks And Brew to all those needing them.

fruitpastilles · 24/05/2013 08:38

stunt your night sounds awful aswell, poor J

horseylady · 24/05/2013 08:42

stunt I wonder if its teeth rather than solids then?

StuntNun · 24/05/2013 08:47

Horsey once we started the IG there was a miraculous reduction in the amount of vomiting then it started to ramp up over the last few days until yesterday he seemed to be in pain during feeds again. He's nomming and gnashing everything in reach poor Sophie le Giraffe is getting the worst of it so it looks like a tooth may be imminent. My older two didn't have reflux but I do remember that teething went on for quite some time before a tooth actually erupted. HTH.

Sorry there were some awful nights had, on my way to the hospital now after depositing various siblings and eric at their various schools and eric is at mils.

Horsey are you stopping finger foods because of gagging and vom?

will update later. Feel like im gonna die. Least I remembered to get the chicken out for tea. Now, when to cook it because I'm sure there aren't enough hours in the day. Can eric gum some chicken if he is up when tea is done? How is best to offer it? Its just chicken and chips but I figured he couldnt have chips. And I have some puree to offer but all I have left is butternut and parsnip. Will see what happens

horseylady · 24/05/2013 08:51

Yes the lack of vom has been the case for a while. But it's now back with avengeance! ESP so over the last couple of weeks. Coupled with chewing everything and his tongue doing funny things. That would make sense actually.

horseylady · 24/05/2013 08:54

kyz he's gagged a bit before. Just not for a while. Yesterday could have just been that he put too much in his mouth. Who knows? I'm just fed up of smelling of vom!!

Anyway. I'm keeping a food diary.
