Misery. Up since 3. DP was up before that til 1am. LO not settling. Me coughing my guts out. Me & DP fighting over who has had least sleep and whose turn it is :(

Lostbobbles · 22/05/2013 06:55

BrewBrewBrew To all us with non sleepers.

Meringue typical of DP/DH , besides the fact that they seem to sleep through most of it. My DH has told me everyday on the phone everyday he's tired! and will no doubt walk in this morn and say he's so exhausted!!! Yeah must of been really hard on your business class flight and getting full nights sleep in a hotel for last 10 nights. He really spares no thought for the fact that in nearly 19 weeks I have had one 6 hour stretch of sleep.

Anyway rant over better have some goodies in that suitcaseWink

Pascha · 22/05/2013 07:23

Ugh Brew I'm joining you on the shitsleep bench today. D woke every two hours and refused to go back down after a feed at 4am. Dh did in fact hear me muttering and swaying/jiggling they boy and to his credit he took over. D promptly puked all down his front so that explained why he wouldnt settle. I confess i just stuck my head right under the covers and tried to block it all out.

Lostbobbles · 22/05/2013 08:52

Have been informed of DH exhaustion 17 times so far

Birdies · 22/05/2013 09:23

Sorry most people are feeling poorly/tired.

I can offer a tiny bit of reassurance - this wonder week sleep regressing thingy kicked in at about 14 weeks (by due date) for us. Sometimes up every hour in the night. However, have just seen a big improvement (she's 19 weeks by due date I think) and my app says 2 days left.

I now get a 4 hour stretch, then 3 ish, 2. Can't remember the rest, but not up 7 times a night now. So it does seem to be coming to an end. However, I also decided to try to go back to a routine - I'm only feeding her every 3 hours in the day and not feeding her to sleep anymore. So worth trying that as well, although perhaps only towards the 19 weeks like I did as during the early weeks I'm not sure she'd have put up with scheduled feeds and not feeding to sleep.

So basically, ride it out and know its likely to come to an end!!

Ps who's betting I come back on here soon to take all that back lol!

Angielka · 22/05/2013 09:31

Yay birdies!! Flowers

lollipoppi · 22/05/2013 09:35

Hmm Sorry for all having no sleep/poorly babies/piles!!

Lost what goodies did he bring you?

Tried out my new double buggy yesterday, it's defo not shop friendly! I practically destroyed next! Oops !

lollipoppi · 22/05/2013 09:35

Ps just off for 3rd jabs Hmm

Meringue33 · 22/05/2013 09:58

Feeding is a nightmare. LO so sniffly. And every time I cough or sneeze he bounces off in shock.

AppleCrumples · 22/05/2013 09:59

Hi all

sorry about all the shit sleep.

Ds1 is fine probabky over reacted but so much blood!

Ivy had her last jabs yesterday so glad thats over.

She seems to be really growing up now! She is plling her toys to her now and her hands have found eachother. Even sat her in high chair and she lookee so pleased with herself!

Have any bf ladies introduced a bottle of water at all?:Nurse kept going on about drinks for Ivy when i told her she was going longer between feeds but she has a cup now. Although she hasn't quite masteref it yet.

Hope everyone having a good day :)

CreepyCrawly · 22/05/2013 12:01

Sorry about the sleepless nights, the illnesses, the piles, the hospital visits. What a couple of weeks!!

Good luck to the 3rd jab babies today, Nancy has hers tomorrow.

She's started crying at people now, anyone else's previously happy sociable baby started doing this? She's done it with my mum, DH and now a friend of mine. They'll just talk to her and her bottom lip will come out and she'll have a proper little cry. Fine again in no time though.

She's loving the jumperoo now, she's learned that hitting it makes noises. She also started untucking her blanket and putting it over her face, that one's not so cute!

Fingers crossed for good days!

Tugstonia · 22/05/2013 12:23

Hi all

Sorry to those with colds and coughs and generally having shit nights. Lots of Brew and Flowers to you all. DD is a spluttery, snotty little thing as well, waking up every hour or so. Am meant to be going out for a girls night tonight but am so tired I don't know if I can face it.

Lora I took fenugreek for 3 or 4 weeks I think? Bought a pot of 60 capsules and took them all, and my supply increased so didn't bother buying a new pot. Haven't heard of the thistle, what is it?

Get well soon everyone :)

Tugstonia · 22/05/2013 12:25

Lost that would really annoy me if my DP kept going on about how tired he is. Hope he brings you lots of pressies.

Still no sign of DD rolling - she's 16 weeks. Anyone else's babes not rolling?

newbie6 · 22/05/2013 12:32

Hi tugs , my baby is 18 weeks and isn't really rolling either. When should I start letting him hold a cup as I haven't done that either....whoops! He can sit up with support but definitely not independent yet, is that right or should he be able to go in a high chair? Although he is grasping things, he lets them go pretty quickly?

I'm totally clueless and haven't seen the HV since he was 12weeks?

Thanks x

AppleCrumples · 22/05/2013 12:44

20 weeks here and not rolling yet. She tries bless her but gets stuck. Definitely prefers to sit (still supported but isgettinh sturdier everyday).

Newbie my hv last saw us at 6 weeks. I can see one at baby clinic if i need to but no more scheduled checks til 8 months here.

Creepy Ivy dpes the blanket thing npw she keeps getting stuck under them tho! :)

Birdies · 22/05/2013 13:29

21 weeks tmrw and no rolling but she's doing enough other things so I'm not worried....yet!

I think it's way too early to sit unsupported newbie. And grasping and letting go are all normal for this age. Babycenter.com is quite good for telling you the kinds of things your baby might be doing each month.

Blimey I wouldn't even contemplate trying to get her to drink from a cup yet!! apple presume you mean with you holding it though? Otherwise ivy must be a baby genius!!

Birdies · 22/05/2013 13:33

Ps I've just discovered the most yummy chocolate bar - Cadburys Cookie Nut Crunch. I could eat another five one

Health visitor told me chocolate is good for new mums. I love my health visitor Grin

Birdies · 22/05/2013 13:40

It's me again. Would you believe it - X has just started rolling on her side. 5 mins after I said she's not rolling! Ok still not rolling, but she was nowhere near even going onto her side (or so I thought). This just proves how quickly they do new things :)

AppleCrumples · 22/05/2013 13:51

Yes i'm holding it! She tries to grasp but is not coordinaed enough yet for that! :) sadly no geniuses here lol. She looks proper shocked when the water comes out

AppleCrumples · 22/05/2013 13:54

Birdies well done to X!

Hope your still enjoying the chocolate

Meringue33 · 22/05/2013 14:15

No rolls here yet except from front to back, by accident. It is amazing tho how there is something new every day. It's only really this last week he's started to grab things, and this morning he grabbed his toes for the first time. He's trying really hard to sit up and keeps trying to jump out of his bouncy chair.

In other news, Auntie Flo is back Angry. Now bleeding from fanjo and backside. Just like when I brought him back from hospital :(

Pascha · 22/05/2013 14:31

Sad Meringue thats shit. A few rolls here and there from tummy to back but not the other way. He spends most of his time when on his tummy drawing his little knees up and trying to edge forward towards his toys which I have cunningly put slightly out of his reach.

Pascha · 22/05/2013 14:39

I seem to recall DS1 rolled at about 5.5 months, about a week after I asked about it on here Grin

theboutiquemummy · 22/05/2013 16:42

Hello everyone long time no speak no rolling from little man here but he's grabbing n shoving things in his mouth n has started teething Hmm

He shuffles when he is on his knees and can move but I wouldn't call it crawling yet x

Whoever said Aunty flo is back big hugs x

Meringue33 · 22/05/2013 17:26

Thanks :)

Just experienced a big dip in milk supply too, must be the AF. My trusty right boob has been emptied Shock.

Note to self: must try harder to exclusively bf next time round. Periods suck!

We also do tummy time on mine or DP's chest, while we are lying on our backs. LO loves to be up above us looking down and gets v excited :)
