Oh and birdies we have 2 night feeds at the moment - around 1am and 4am. But my last attempt at dream feeding failed. She just would not cooperate! So that's after a feed at 8ish. This is a baby who was doing 9-7 staight through so counts as shitty in my book although I know some of you have it worse Sad

octanegirl · 17/05/2013 09:14

Birdies very shit here too. Woke at 2.30 and 4.30 then 5.30, trouble was I couldn't get back to sleep myself till about 6 so am properly shattered now. He has never ever woken 3 times in a night even as a newborn so this is a new and unpleasant experience....

How many weeks old are your babies angiel and octane?

glorious · 17/05/2013 09:28

Much better thanks everyone. Thanks Have managed some jelly babies Grin MIL coming today to look after Ellen a bit so I can rest. Need to accept she's going to see my messy house and me in a state. My mum lives abroad but happens to be coming tomorrow so that'll be good.

Sleep is terrible here too still. Sympathy to my fellow sufferers. And Brew

Lostbobbles · 17/05/2013 09:33

Sleep!!! What's that ??

Lostbobbles · 17/05/2013 09:33

Glorious, go to hear your feeling better. mmmm jelly babies

Tugstonia · 17/05/2013 10:19

Glad you're feeling better glorious! Good that you can have a rest over the next few days.

Sleep here is shit too Birdies Brew DD up 11pm, 1230, 2.30, and then 4-6. She's 15 weeks now. She has a cold so wakes herself up with all her snot. The snuffle babe was good though and def helped get her to sleep in the first place.

Hope you get a lie-in this weekend Happy.

Meringue33 · 17/05/2013 10:30

Birdies just to say there's a difference between a dummy and a bottle, one has milk :)

Hope the sleep dep is not too bad everyone :( This LO was up at five and would not resettle... Until about 8 then he's wanted to sleep all morning... On me Hmm

Angielka · 17/05/2013 10:38

Molly is 16 weeks today birdies

Angielka · 17/05/2013 10:39

is everyone craving jelly babies now because I am Hmm Grin

CreepyCrawly · 17/05/2013 10:49

Angie, Molly was born on the 18th right? Nancy was too, and I'm counting it at 17 weeks? Would love some jelly babies right now, instead I'm about to clean the bathroom.

We're still having good nights here, sorry to those of you that aren't.

Angielka · 17/05/2013 11:01

See what baby brain does? 4 months tomorrow and 17 weeks today Grin

Well done creepy good job someone's on the ball Thanks

Those of you following the wonder weeks stuff, will everything magically get better soon? [hopeful]

CreepyCrawly · 17/05/2013 11:11

Haha angie, I counted like 4 times thinking I'd added a week on somewhere.

I was following the wonder weeks stuff, but she seems to have mastered some of these new skills without disrupting her sleep or general mood. I think my baby is broken! Babies are supposed to cry and wake up at night!

(Sounds like I'm boasting! I'm not, honestly!)

Angielka · 17/05/2013 11:19

I'm happy for you creepy! And I'm sure that Molly will remember very soon what it's like to sleep through the night again Smile.

Molly doesn't cry nearly as much as DD1 did when she was a baby, naps are pretty good and I never knew babies could smile and coo so much either, so maybe there is something positive in the stars for the 18th Wink.

So creepy tell us all, does Nancy sleep 7-7 yet? Wink

CreepyCrawly · 17/05/2013 11:25

Definitely think it's the birthdate Grin

Not 7-7 yet, but last night was 9-8!

Angielka · 17/05/2013 11:34

Ah, I remember those days... come on babies, you can all be like Nancy!

octanegirl · 17/05/2013 12:37

Birdies he's exactly 4 months on Sunday so 17 weeks I think.

glorious · 17/05/2013 13:01

Oh sorry about the jelly babies! Especially for angielka who presumably can't get them. MIL and Ellen back from the walk, apparently she was very happy so that's a relief. I was sad though Hmm

Berniebennett · 17/05/2013 13:52

We are still feeding a dream feed at 10 but the pretty much sleeps through - he goes up to his cot at 7 and we wake him for his feed - I'm wondering if he would go all night but in to scared to try, I don't want to wake at 3/4 like before, I truly feel for u guys with non sleeping babies! Just remember when they are teenagers you can start to get revenge by waking early when they want to have a lie in!!! I'm already plotting!!!

Pascha · 17/05/2013 13:54

Can I just say that DS1 slept through, and I mean 7-7, from 5.5 months. From 6 weeks he woke just once a night. He is a dream.

DS2 on the other hand...

AppleCrumples · 17/05/2013 14:04

Glorious glad to hear you're feeling better and have some help. Poor you being sick is horrid :(

Sorry babies aren't sleeping Ivy did 7.30-3.30 on tues night which was a relief but has got worse since. Last night she wantee feeding every 3.5 hours! Naps are hard and seem to involve lots of long walks for me Hmm

I don't have wonder weeks app but wondered if it was related? Ivy is 19 weeks but only 16 weeks from due date.

Seriously thinking of starting a few tastes of food for her now. She seems to feel the need to use her tooth whenever she has the 2nd boob of a feed so thinking a spoon and some banana would save me some pain! Gums hurt when they bite but teeth are worse! Shock

Hope everyone having a good day

Wuxiapian · 17/05/2013 14:13

Just checking in - it's been a few weeks.

Bubs (almost 16weeks) has, the past couple weeks, gone from a decent 10 - 6am sleep, to 10 - 4am sleeps. I'm knackered. I had become spoilt - those extra 2 hours made me feel more human. Done absolutely nothing today. Tut.

Sympathies to all suffering with broken nights.

Started venturing out to baby groups lately. Some are ok, some are awfully cliquey, but at least it's a bit of fresh air and a change of scenery, I suppose...

Got a jumperoo this week and it's great! He can just about reach the floor with his toes and keeps him quiet while I do odds and sods. Would highly recommend one! Got mine off eBay. Looking at the Bumbo now.

Still not rolling over and only just tolerating tummy time for a minute or two!

My hair loss is quite concerning - never experienced it with DS1 (14 years ago) - wonder how long it'll continue to fall. Wish my weight would drop as quickly. I think I'm actually gaining...

How many of the January babies have teeth yet? Still waiting for pegs to appear this side.

Cejay8 · 17/05/2013 15:40

No teeth at 16 weeks here. DS had his first tooth at 4 months and suffered badly - I'm not sure my nerves could take that again. DD is sleeping through again now after a little blip and I think we've mastered day time napping in the cot so the dog and I are getting a bit of a break from all that walking Grin so things are good at the moment.

Jumperoo is out but not used it that much yet, she seems happy with her play gym mostly. My weight loss was great at first but not lost anything for several weeks now Hmm would love to get back to swimming at some point. But for now time spent in the pool is for baby/toddler lessons. We've got a week away in Devon early June and I'm praying for some sunshine!

Meringue33 · 17/05/2013 16:40

Envy at the sleeping through babies. Tho I shouldn't complain as LO is usually managing 8-10,10-5am. Does it count tho if the 8-10 bit is on us?? DP is much better at getting him to sleep than me.

Yesterday we went to look round nurseries - saw four. One we like a lot and two were ok, so feeling a lot better at the prospect now. I was v impressed by the babies all napping at the same time! Looks like they have so much fun too.

Lora1982 · 17/05/2013 18:30

So he had his jabs yesterday and hes suffering and me his thigh has swollen, its not like he needs help to chubby them up, and hes been whingey alllllll day. On a plus he slept 9-8 I had to wake him at half ten to put his pjs on and force feed him though but still!
