Cripes, up three times in the night and been awake since 6. I've got an awful cold and a splitting headache and I'm supposed to go to London AGAIN tonight. I'm not sure I can face it.
LO was always such a good sleeper. This sucks!!!

Sex wise - I've not got any urges either but I go along with it when DP makes a move - I learnt from my first marriage that if you don't use it you lose it! So I'm hoping that by doing it once per week or so I'll gradually get back into it. LO is in a crib by the bed and I must say I find that very off putting and I hold myself back which doesn't help. Roll on him being in his own room!

Yep that's where it hurts Bunty. We had to stop last time because it was unbearable. Will look into it, thanks.

That's my problem too octane, it just doesn't feel right with her sleeping next to the bed. I'll make an effort to get into it though.

Glad I'm not the only one like this, but our poor OHs :(

Tugstonia · 16/05/2013 09:26

I'm definitely going to get some snuffle baby, thanks Louise! DD was up every 2 hours last night and very snotty and sniffly in the night, poor little lamb.

Creepy we haven't DTD either (pretty much since DD was conceived actually Blush) and sadly I have no desire to either :( DP never makes the effort either though and we're now sleeping in separate rooms because of DD waking so often, so I can't see it happening ever for a while yet. We talk about it though and both know it's a temporary thing. I'm glad your DH was understanding after you sent him the info on breastfeeding and libido. Keep talking and do try to have date nights so you spend some quality time together. I had a smear test the other day and it was agony and I had a c-section too, so god knows how painful it'll when we finally do DTD.

Poor you glorious hope you feel better soon. Keep yourself hydrated.

lollipoppi · 16/05/2013 09:35

Glorious hope your feeling better?

Creepy, I also don't have much interest, we do manage about once a week and when we get into it i do enjoy it, i think the thought of using up all that energy puts me off!
I'm sure it's very frustrating for them but until DP is up doing the night feeds I have no sympathy Grin

On another note, DS came out in a terrible itchy rash on Saturday, doc said it was an allergic reaction to something, after copious amounts of cream and piriton it has almost cleared ....... However I now seem to have come out in a different rash that looks like chicken pox!!!!!????

Tugstonia · 16/05/2013 09:49

Just found out DP has got a job after being made redundant in January!!! Woo hoo!! :) :) :)

Pascha · 16/05/2013 10:01

Double nappy worked a treat last night. Awake to feed at about 12.30am and not a peep til 5.45 when DH heard DS1 crying in his room, went to settle him and found him sleepwalking at his bedroom door Shock. We only changed cot to bed a few weeks ago and this is the first time he's got out by himself. He was totally inconsolable til we could wake him properly.

Glorious hope you're sleeping it off now and feel better soon.

Lolli if its chickenpox piriton might help your rash too. I bet yours and DS's rashes are connected though.

Interest in the deed is variable at the moment. Up until about 2 weeks ago I had zero libido and I put a lot of that down to hormones and sleep deprivation, however D is starting to go 3 hours between feeds at night, sometimes longer, and holiday certainly helped. DH still has no chance whatsoever on the average wednesday at 11pm though, I dream of sleep not sex!

Date night is a brilliant idea. Might use my clubcard vouchers in the exchange for some pizza express vouchers and cinema entry. MIL can babysit.

Hurrah! A good thing to look forward to at last!

Pascha · 16/05/2013 10:03

Tugs What fantastic news! Well done MrTugs

glorious · 16/05/2013 10:27

Thanks everyone. Still being sick and feel beyond awful.

Hooray for DP tugs

Polyethyl · 16/05/2013 10:52

My daughter has been asleep on my chest for two hours. She has me far too well trained to dare to move. My tummy is rumbling and I've finished my book. I realise that my daughter is obedience training me... but I so long to move. I'm fantasising about breakfast now.
(Just so you understand how daft I'm being she is entirely healthy and had a good nights sleep.) But every time I consider moving her she snuggles ever more adoringly... so here I continue to sit.

BuntyCollocks · 16/05/2013 11:44

Hooray mrtugs!

Lostbobbles · 16/05/2013 11:57

Get well hugs to all those ill.

DD2 is full of it as well and feeling very sorry or herself. I am on third change of clothes from the projectile vomit that is accompanying it Hmm

Congrats to your DP Tugs, might have to give him a congratulatory Quickie now Wink

Me and DH need to sort that out as well, I'm really nervous because of my prolapse and tear and when he's here we are so tired we choose to sleep instead. But It's on my tdl to make a effort just not very high upWink

Louise I do the snuffle rub on feet, seems to help.

Trying to find venue for DD1 birthday party today, would like a hall/venue with a little outdoor space, then IF weather is good they could eat outside but not proving easy

Birdies · 16/05/2013 13:56

No urges here either. DTD once but seem to have zero sex drive. Am assuming its the sleep deprivation. Oh and the same as you tugs, we've slept in separate rooms since DD1. Keep planning to sort it but the chance of some sleep always seems more important....

Talking of which, had a massive improvement! I put her to bed earlier and she slept 4.5 hours, then 3, then 2, then 1. Annoyingly, I was wide awake at 3.30am Angry. Oh, and I also detached the bednest from my bed a I realised I was probably disturbing her everytime I moved. Yes it really has taken me that long to work that out, don't laugh!!

Lots of poorly people at the mo Wine. glorious are you feeling any better?

poly I'm just the same, they have us wrapped round their teeny cute little fingers!

Well done tugs's DP.

Pascha · 16/05/2013 14:19

I just had an urge. Unfortunately it was for half a packet of chocolate digestives and a large mug of tea...

BuntyCollocks · 16/05/2013 14:44

That's an urge I can get on board with, pascha.

Trying to lose half a stone for holiday, though. Sigh.

glorious · 16/05/2013 16:58

Finally stopped puking which is a start but still feeling rubbish and going v slowly on the water. Poor DD has been horribly neglected. DH coming home early thank goodness.

When not ill I do actually have a libido but DH less so Sad. Think it's tiredness on his part despite also sleeping in separate rooms atm. Makes me feel quite rejected. Plus the only time we tried we had to stop as it was too painful so I don't even know if it works.

Sorry, bit of a miserable post.

Tugstonia · 16/05/2013 17:24

Thanks all :) Am so chuffed for him, and v relieved as the pressure was definitely mounting. Yippee!

Ah Glorious that sounds miserable. I'm sure your DD is ok though. Good that your DH is coming home early.

I've got me some snuffle baby rub so hope it helps DD tonight.

Meringue33 · 16/05/2013 18:45

Congrats to MrTugs that's great news!

Creepy\other first time mums, I've found best time to Dtd is weekend afternoons, when LO is asleep in pram on return from walk :) Agree nighttime is far too tiring/close.

Glorious poor you. Sending loads of hugs hate hate being ill. Hope you are already feeling better by the time you read this.

Meringue33 · 16/05/2013 18:46

Having said that I think our grand total is still about four times, same as you Creepy!

glorious · 16/05/2013 19:21

Thanks everyone, you're really helping. Just threw up again so spoke too soon before.

That's why you need to be able to put the baby down for naps meringue . Working on it!

Birdies · 16/05/2013 20:55

Poor thing glorious, I hate being sick.

I had to go to the doctors about my ears earlier. I SAID, I had to....ok ok , exhausted that joke. Anyways, I left my mum with both DDs. When I came back, X had been crying inconsolably for 10 minutes. I calmed her down but we were really confused. My mum's great with babies and especially DD1, although she doesn't know X so well yet. We know she wasnt hungry or tired. Is it too early for separation anxiety?

Meringue33 · 16/05/2013 21:02

Oh yeah Grin, Glorious

Lostbobbles · 16/05/2013 21:11

Birdies: dd2 started screaming when being held by people she doesn't know well about three weeks ago Hmm. Such a bummer DD1 would pretty much go to anyone.

How did bottle feeding go? I managed to get 3oz down yesterday morning using nuk bottle with latex teat positioned upside down not too fussy then nighttime is still a complete no go but going to wait for DH to get back and for her to get better before really trying to crack that one.

happyhow · 16/05/2013 22:28

My wishful thinking was short lived last night... Asleep for an hour and hubby came in rat-arsed, making as much noise as possible which woke both B and I up and I spent the next hour and 40 mins feeding etc. Hubby managing to take up most of the bed and snoring loudly nearly had me and B sleeping in the sitting room... Thankfully, B then slept til 6.15am so I got a 4hr-ish stretch of sleep.

Had a quiet lazy day today. Haven't done much at all.

Was thinking of starting weaning over the next few days but realised I'd need expressed milk to make up the baby rice so I'll need to keep building up my stock pile. Thinking of expressing twice a day if I can just to get it all frozen as have a couple of days away so need milk for them too. Is it silly to express that much? Was kinda hoping it would boost my supply in the hope it would make B feed quicker...???

Congrats to Mr Tugs

Glorious, hope you feel better soon.

Birdies · 17/05/2013 08:21

happy I'd have been livid if DH had woken us!!

lost I haven't tried bottle feeding again. I managed to get to the hen do but only the first hour. It felt like I'd escaped from prison! Am trying to get her to have a dummy first as I thought if she won't have that then she wouldn't have a bottle. Not succeeded yet though!

I've lost the ability to sleep properly now - was awake the whole of the longest 4 hour stretch. I remember this body clock screwed business from the newborn days!!

How's everyone else doing sleep wise? I'm not listening unless its shit for you too though!!

Angielka · 17/05/2013 09:04

birdies I think we're getting a bit of separation anxiety here too. Boo.

glorious hope you feel 100 times better today.

Congrats to Mr Tugs what a relief!

Sounds like Mr Happy owes you a nice lie-in this weekend happy!

Although Molly doesn't seem to keen on a bottle, last night she went to bed at 8 and DH managed to settle her a couple of times when she woke and was unsettled. I might actually make it out to dinner tonight! Wohoo!
