Lost we sold it as it wasn't getting any use, with use living more rurally and needing to fund a double. I sort of wish we'd been able to keep it really. Its a very very good pushchair and keeps its value on resale.

My periods came back at 14 months last time. I hope its the same this time.

Bunny we've been having 4am wakeups too, as well as 3am, 2am, 1am, 5am and 6.30am, sometimes all in the same night Hmm

Hormonalhell · 07/05/2013 19:13

My AF came back six weeks after and has been here every month since even tho I had the implant fitted and was told my periods may stop Hmm

Charlie sleeps thru every night but loves his sleep so I think that's why. He has his last bottle around 8.00 and then down til around 6.00 do not bad really.

He ready for cot now only an inch left at top of Moses basket but I've got to decorate n carpet the bedroom first before I can put it up

Angielka · 07/05/2013 20:57

AF came back after 3 months this time round Hmm with DD1 I breastfed for a year and it didn't come back until after I weaned. Not fair, although I have ordered a mooncup after reading way too many gushy mn threads to try...

AppleCrumples · 07/05/2013 21:44

Hi all thanks for kind words the last few days have been pretty tough but my friend (wha has 6 school ages dcs) assures me it will sort itself out! lost tried reading with both dds as part of a calming bedtime ended up with all 4 in dd room with ds1 reading. It worked quite well and i made a big fuss of her this am for being so good. Sadly fell apart this evening but i think it was because she went to friends for tea and got back late. Try again tomorrow.

Ivy is refusing to settle after picking dcs up she turns into velcro baby and only boobs will do! She gets so tired and we spend ages running hoovers etc to try and
make her sleep but as soon as she is in bed shes asleep! Tried sippy cup today to help with her teeth and asits so hot she seems more thirsty. She took a sip then dribbled it out but it calmed her down :)

That pram Shock i only like them becausr when ds1 was due i was just finished uni (unplanned) so fil helped out with pram but it was a horrible graco travel system which i hated! But had no choice but to use it.

D

AppleCrumples · 07/05/2013 21:47

Pisted too soon!

Meant to say no AF here but didn't get it until 10 + months with the others.

Hope everyone else ok and enjoying the sun Grin

AppleCrumples · 07/05/2013 21:48

Ffs posted obviously not pisted i don't even drink!

BuntyCollocks · 07/05/2013 21:52

No af here. Didn't get it back until I stopped feeding completely to fall pregnant with c so fuck knows when it'll come back if she feeds as long as she/I want.

Lostbobbles · 07/05/2013 22:15

Cutest moment ever tonight, DD's both in the bath and DD1 was talking silly to DD2 and she had her first prolonged fits of giggles Grin

Apples- 6 DC's!!! Shock Omg something in the water round your neck of the woods Wink
Bless your DD1 reading to an audience good reading practice though can just picture the scene now. Shame it was short lived but hopefully just play date interrupting routine. Plus my dd1 was really tired today after long weekend and warmer weather.

I'm going to try water in a bottle tomorrow to see if I can get her sucking from bottle again.

Has anyone else's lo started screaming when being held by other people they don't see regularly?

Pascha- thanks going to convince DH it's a must have in my life item.

AppleCrumples · 07/05/2013 22:53

Lost thats so sweet Grin baby giggles are the best thing ever. Thank you i think you are right re dd1. Last night was lovely with them all so hooefully its just a case of getting into a routine.

Re our baby boom here 2 more 4th babies arrived just before Ivy and i know quite a few families with 4 dc. They all seem much better at it than me but then i don't see what goes on in their housrs at bedtime! Frankly no one else stands a chance of getting a place at our school as there are masses of prams outside school!

Lora1982 · 08/05/2013 00:13

Pre child i thought baby giggles sounded evil Grin i blame that advert that had them all chuckling "something or other babies are happy babies" but now im loving the thought of losts dds having laughing fits in the tub :-D im a bit Envy cos dexter only seems to REALLY laugh at dp and i might miss the first proper one.

Im still daydreaming about that pram.

Anyone being subjected to physical abuse from dcs when dfing? I seriously need a solution to his boob piching. He only does it on the left but he feeds most from that side cos of the bad boob.

On the topic of bad boob when ive mentiond nip shield to people they seem to frown on them and be all "well thats not natural is it" well bob off if it wasnt for them he'd be going without. Rant over.

glorious · 08/05/2013 07:39

DD went 850 to 1145 then up hourly to now. I am on my knees. I thought the growth spurt was over Sad

Tugstonia · 08/05/2013 08:27

Lora I feel your pain on the boob abuse & moronic nipple shield comments. Bloody annoying on both fronts.

We are in teething hell here, at least I think it's teething. Up all night & refusing to feed since yesterday morning so have been expressing & syringe feeding her. Going to take her to the doctor this morning (the delightful walk in & wait hours clinic) in case it's not teething because she's so upset the poor lamb :( Anyone else experienced a nursing strike as I think it's called? She tries to latch but it's obviously v painful. Have sent dp out to buy a sippy cup.

Tugstonia · 08/05/2013 08:28

Glorious sorry you've had a shitty night. Hope your dd & you get the chance to nap today x

happyhow · 08/05/2013 08:58

Hi everyone!!

Haven't posted for a while. Went to my mum's for the weekend which was great as my sis and bro's were there too. B was very much the centre of attention and perfected the art of the raspberry while there!

We have a bumbo. I think they're great!! B loves his. Had him sitting on the door step yesterday while I planted bedding plants in the sunshine!Smile

No AF here either. I'm not complaining in the slightest!

We're still up for a night feed. He gets fed around 8pm and goes til around half 3 then wakes up again half 6,7 although he generally wants to play for a bit before having his breakfast.

Also, B hasn't mastered the art of a quick feed. Every feed is 45-60 mins when you include winding. I seem to have plenty milk so I think he's just slow. Maybe he likes the cuddles...

Got his 4 month injections this morning...

Pascha · 08/05/2013 12:38

Hope the injections went well Happy. Daniel had his last week with no problems except it turns out he's allergic to plasters - big red blotches just where the sticky bits were.

I'm enjoying myself now because both boys are asleep Shock Long may it last! I'm eating lunch then I might get the luggage out the loft to start packing for the weekend.

Birdies · 08/05/2013 13:14

meringue funnily enough last night cos I daren't wear ear plugs now due to deaf ear, I heard her when she was being a little houdini and then tucked her arms back in and it worked! I was still up 3 times but not as bad as the nights before. I've also just bought a Zippadee thing which is meant to help transition out of swaddle

happy same as pascha, no probs with the third jabs. In fact it was the first time she didn't get a temp or anything.

glorious sorry about your crappy night. And poor you. tugs. I'm finding that but just a bit, she just seems uncomfy when feeding.

pascha where you off too?

Angielka · 08/05/2013 13:23

Oh no glorious and tugs hope things improve.

tugs could it be thrush? Does she have any white bits in her mouth? It makes latching on painful and I had it with DD1 after being on some antibiotics for a chest infection. Hope they were helpful at the clinic.

Molly definitely teething but think we might have started a growth spurt too... [give me strength]

Pascha · 08/05/2013 13:28

The oh-so-exciting Peak District, Birdies. Just for a long weekend staying in a barn we've been to before.

Tugstonia · 08/05/2013 13:58

Thanks all. Doc gave her a good looking over and couldn't find any infection or thrush or anything and is most likely sore gums giving her gip. I've slathered on anbesol gel which was recommended to me. Still wont feed from me :( Just hope her gums settle down soon.

glorious · 08/05/2013 15:08

Thanks for the sympathy guys. She's just had a half hour nap but I couldn't sleep, was just drifting off when she woke. typical!

Sorry about the teething and nursing strike tugs. Have you tried giving something to chew? e.g. teething ring or clean finger? That really helped Ellen. And I'm sure you know kellymom.com is great for advice on breastfeeding and has a section on nursing strikes.

glorious · 08/05/2013 15:08

Oh and have fun pascha and good luck angielka

Pascha · 08/05/2013 15:42

Tugs have you tried nurofen before a feed? It helped D most when he was reluctant to take a bottle from DH a week or two ago. That and teething gel together.

Lostbobbles · 08/05/2013 16:16

Lora have you tried putting scratch mitts on to help ease pinching or you could purchase a gummee glove and put that on

Sorry to hear you had rubbish nights Glorious/Tugs. Tugs hope your DD improves, have you tried giving a dose of n/fen? Is your anbesol a gel, I have the liquid and its awful?

We had crap night Lois ill with high temp, wouldn't settle /feed. Nearly ended up in A&E after have a wheezing fit and me panicking. But just took her dr's this morn and chest clear just throat a little inflamed so thinks she is getting a viral so have to keep an eye on her Hmm it's the curse of DH going away

Pascha, hope you have a great weekend

Lora1982 · 08/05/2013 16:43

You angel!! Scratch mit is on and hes giving me evils Grin

Tugstonia · 08/05/2013 17:11

Yeah it's anbesol gel, put it on teething ring & def helped, she perked up a lot. Tried feeding her & she took a few weak sucks & cried again, pushing boob away. Have tried ice cubes, nurofen, calpol, bloody everything! Have just spent an hour feeding her with a syringe and she still only took 100ml, which considering she's not eaten for hours isn't great. Will just keep on with the gel and teething ring & keep offering boob & hope she takes it again.
Sorry you had a shit night Lost, hope your dd is ok
