We still use the Babyjogger classic thats about 7-8 years old and has a wonky wheel because its the best pushchair I've ever found and it doesn't matter if its covered in mud or whatever. Its big enough for DS1 and flat enough for Daniel.

Doesn't stop me looking though.

Pascha · 06/05/2013 16:16

Lora was this what your mum was talking about?

BuntyCollocks · 06/05/2013 16:48

tugs dummies only delay speech if a child constantly has one in their mouth. DC only have theirs at nap and night times, and DS is speaking incredibly well. He had his 2 1/4 year check last week, and the nursery nurse was astounded at his speech.

Tell her to fuck off

Hope everyone is having a lovely, sunny bank holiday! BBQ on soon in casa Bunty - yum!

Meringue33 · 06/05/2013 16:54

Birdies we still have epic feeds too, like Crawly my LO will sometimes just not detach himself and nurse for hours. I assumed he was cluster feeding or it's just cause his latch isn't great. Everyone else at my NCT group says their babies have become super efficient feeders and drains a boob in ten mins, etc.

Yum BBQ! Ours needs a little clean before use I think Blush. Went for a hike in the sling today, it was great. Managed to get sunburn as forgot I should put it on myself as well as baby. Oh and nettle stings on bum!

Lostbobbles · 06/05/2013 22:17

Apples hope you had better day today Thanks ps I'm very impressed with the 7 buggies Wink

BIRDIES loud shout re double nappy updated version is to put first on normal and second on back to front (not tried it but read it on top tips group im on)

We are still up for night feeds as well Hmm

Pascha - The buggy i'm after is the baby jogger citi mini, nice little companion for my bee.

Had half a good day here, lovely pub lunch followed by walk around the aquadrome, which was ruined by my DD1 being madam lazy legs, moaning about scooting/walking so we left fairly quickly. Confused

Lora, going to check the mega buggy out. Also re bumbo just to let you know my DD1 learned to escape it even though its supposed to be secure.

Angie: DD1 (4.5yrs) keeps sitting in the bumbo as well Grin

Lostbobbles · 06/05/2013 22:18

Oh tugs just give the MIl the old, well since your day.... Make her feel old

Lora1982 · 07/05/2013 00:10

My god that buggy looks amazing! I dont tend to get buggy envy me and dp mutter shit pram when we drive past other peoples Grin but that looks beautiful. I might get concerned leaving it in the buggy park at the dr though...

On the bumbo front mums turned me off the idea after she told me one of her foster babies got stuck in it because of his thunder thighs (sniggger) and well dexters not the slimest bless him

currently copying about a million photos off a broken pc for my mum and dad o i can wipe it and make it like new again for me. These photos go back to 2009 ffs bless oldies and technology... But if im gettin a new (new to me) pc i wont complain. Its going to take me days though :'( its for my ma and pa though so i have to help really god love em :-D

Lora1982 · 07/05/2013 00:13

Lost does your bumbo have the strap in it? There was a big thing about having to ring them to get one last year if you didnt have a strap

Angielka · 07/05/2013 08:12

lost glad my DD1 isn't the only one Wink

lora I don't have a strap in my bumbo - what did I miss? I'll google it Smile and that buggy is something else... wow. I want one! [sulk]

Pascha · 07/05/2013 08:45

I sold my bjcm last year!

CreepyCrawly · 07/05/2013 08:57

That buggy Shock

I'm loving that many of your older DCs have reclaimed the bumbo. I think a friend is giving us her old one.

We went for a walk with N in the Baby Bjorn carrier yesterday. She loved being able to see everything and everyone. Poor dog gets fed up with stopping for every passing person to say hello.

My grandmother came out with a good one last week. She said she'd wanted to bf her oldest, but after he was born the nurses examined her and said she had no milk. She's full of shit an odd one anyway.

scissy · 07/05/2013 12:06

Hmm at the pram
Ugh, went to the bounce and rhyme at the library this morning and E threw up all down my front! Blush At least the sunshine dried me up before I got home.

Lostbobbles · 07/05/2013 13:32

Lora thanks got jogging my memory to the bumbo, I remember reading about it now, will put on my to do list.

Pascha, how come you sold your bjcm? I'm still debating the back wheels being a lot wider than my bee but love the fold and sun hood is massive. Thinking it will be a lot smoother on walks (the gt is just too heavy unfortunately) plus I just want another buggy because I need help

Lostbobbles · 07/05/2013 13:38

Is anyone having bottle issues or have any advice. After regularly taking one a day from either DH or me, Lois is now refusing. I have tried heating milk a little more and have cleared out boots of every bottle going but she is not having any of it Hmm.

glorious · 07/05/2013 13:55

lost I haven't tried bottles so not sure but thinking of introducing a sippy cup or doidy cup at 4 months, apparently you can (though I imagine it's messy).

That pram! Shock

Birdies · 07/05/2013 13:58

I CANT HELP AS I STILL NEED TO TRY BOTTLE FEEDING BEFORE THE HEN DO THIS WEEKEND. OH AM I SHOUTING?

creepy I love some of the things the oldies come out with. That one's a good one.

Can I just say, I'm on sort of diet but still eating ice cream and lots if nice things. And I've lost weight! I am now 2lbs less than when I first got pregnant with both DDs. It's got to be the breastfeeding. Wonder if I can keep breastfeeding forever?! Or I could just express forever!!

Birdies · 07/05/2013 14:01

I don't know why I'm so cheery, I was up many many times again in the night. And im deaf as a post. Must be the sunshine! And the miracle breastfeeding weight loss!

Meant to ask - X is waking herself up by wriggling out of her swaddle. I've tried abandoning it which works until the first time she moves her arms to her face and then she wakes herself up again. Any ideas what I can do? It's like she doesn't like the swaddle but can't sleep without it either?

Lostbobbles · 07/05/2013 14:16

Birdies, I was a night owl again as well last night. Hmm

Re swaddle have you tried one arm out?

Birdies · 07/05/2013 14:22

Thanks lora yeah have tried one arm out, she still touches her face and wakes herself up. I can't see any other answer though than to keep trying as I guess I can't swaddle her forever!

BuntyCollocks · 07/05/2013 14:31

Envy of your weight loss, birdies!

I didn't lose the last stone until DS weaned. Looks like I'm heading the same way. Although tbf I need to get my arse off the couch and properly do mfp again rather than abandoning it when a biscuit looks more tempting than an apple Blush

Bunny222 · 07/05/2013 14:57

Hi all. Havent posted for a while as been feeling really under the weather :-( going the right way now I think. Wow looking after LO is hard way you feel pants!

We have ordered a jumperoo too cant wait to see him in it :-) weve been swimming to which he is enjoying.

After weeks of waking at 6ish, last few mornings has been 4am - whats going on? I see a few others are finding this too.

Also, breastfeeders have your cycles come back yet Nothing happening here... :-/

Lostbobbles · 07/05/2013 15:09

Bunny - sorry to hear you have not been feeling great. Totally agree its bloody hard work and so slack they don't come with instructions yet! Wink

No AF here yet Grin

Birdies- I think its just a case of them getting used to it, Lois did same for a bit but now she sleeps! for not very long!!! with arms spread out. Could try a sleep bag with a muslin/swaddle blanket tucked in tight over her arms or even just loosely place a muslin over her arms. Lois loves a muslin tucked up by her face which gave the go ahead for me to purchase ridiculously expensive Aden and Anais 'issie' cloths always a silver lining Wink

Lora1982 · 07/05/2013 15:15

No af here either Grin any suggestions to get him stopping pinching my boob when hes feeding. It kills. Tried giving him his muzzy but nope he shuvs it away and uses his pincers to pinch sharply.

BuntyCollocks · 07/05/2013 16:08

Just did my first 30 day shred. Sweating like a pig. birdies has spurred me on!

Meringue33 · 07/05/2013 16:54

Hi Bunny, hope you are feeling better now?

I've had a tummy bug twice since I had him, freaks me out slightly as worried I can't care for him but actually today has been fine, did not worry about routine just sat around house and let him nap on me as wasn't planning on doing a lot of housework anyway!

No period here yet (is that what AF is??). It has occurred to me that I could be pregnant that would explain the undimmed tummy but it would have to be the immaculate conception Grin

Birdies I have a sleeping bag that is more like an adult sleeping bag than a gro bag. It's like a pouch he slides into. I tuck hands in but he still has freedom to take out if desired. Sometimes if he wakes in night I can just tuck his arms back in and he'll go right back to sleep.

Bunty feeling v guilty, mine is still in wrapper!
