Not bothering with baby rice. O will go straight on fruits and veggies. I actually got a small free pack from heinz babyclub, will pass it on to my friend.

I cleaned the tripp trapp today but O is not ready to go in there, I think I need to wait till she can sit properly. It looks good though.

My brother came today, i can't believe that 3 more weeks and I am moving. Will be hard not to see him for 6 months, he is wAy too busy to come out and see us.

We started on baby porridge today and will move on to veg and fruit next week.

He is sitting in his high chair like a big boy and loves it... He pulled some very interesting faces with the baby porridge!

He's growing up so fast!

sorry hadn't read back and started this post on last Fred - pr Im so sorry about your little ones. and what others say about immunity -in the long term they will be fine if not great though I know very little about bronchilitus. I'm sure there's been research about childhood illnesses boosting the immune system in later life inc less allergies etc. however, it so tough to be dealing with the relentlessness of it all. I bet warmer weather really will help. it'll help us all.

vq as always your advice is wonderful. dh has thew us both in the car for a drive. I've been assured again and again it's ok to take this stuff but have never done so of which I was proud. I only took half a tablet and it's a low dose of 2 a day. head hurt earlier due to crying/ overthinking and took cocodolmol which I also usually avoid .so not sure which is spacing me out. but feel ok. I ebf, g started refusing bottles but we're reintroducing. after the bf strike last night he did take a Dr brwn bottle. but definitely is a tad refluxy which is causing feeding issues though no where near as bad pre tongue tie. we argued most of the drive (I feel the pressure from dh to feed more in day so g wont feed at night but he feeds better at night) but have finally calmed and pissed our selves silly over a very funny picture of g.

interesting yw you say it gets worse post jabs. wondering if gripe water will help? gavisgon made him even more windy if it were possible.Hmm

it's basically been a long month of nightmare feeding issues, water infection, tongue tie revelation, antibiotics and thrush in him and my boobs and it's triggered . bf is sucking the life out of me!

think am gonna throw those tablets out and resort to r4 chocolate and darjeeling tea next time.

we started our baby led weaning earlier. daktarin gel on a little spoon Hmm

he was actually very good at it, but is only 17 wks.

have just had to 'fresh face' after napping and feeding disaster and screaming. it's like ground hog day again.

maybe some gavisgon is a good idea. can you give gavisgon and gripe water together?

clarella I know exactly what you mean when you say bf is sucking the life out of you. I am really glad J is mostly bottle now. Tbh I was hoping for an excuse from about 12 weeks as it has been so bloody hard this time. I would be happy if he never fed from me again, but will continue to offer, and it is handy for settling him in the night. I loved it with the girls. The fucking lip tie has a lot to answer for. He also has a posterior tongue tie. Too late to do anything now.

Happy half birthdays H and d. Fx for you on the sola fruit l have one and my only gripe is the basket is too small when shoopping.

H loves baby rice and l am daft enough to stand expressing milk into it each day. Have settled on one spoon. fed thing a day and all rest baby led. By the way, if u already have AK or other baby cook books don?t bother with the BLW one, its v similar in terms of recipes.

Thanks for the recipe bigpig l may have to do a test run tonight...

Thank you all! Having a lovely day and feeling very spoiled. Last night was lovely, I even got a birthday shag Wink !

PR sorry to hear of more bugs and poorly babies Thanks

Hugs Clarella.

I threatened M with formula last night. She is taking the piss now with cluster feeding at night. She fed solidly from 2am to 4am and every half an hour before and after Confused . Bottle feeding is a very tempting prospect right now...

She accidentally had her first taste of yoghurt yesterday after grabbing my spoon. Hmm

Just been into Edinburgh to get DH a new suit as there's a few headhunters sniffing round. We were going to meet up with pals from south with their 4 month old up for the day but cancelled when J was ill - we bumped into them anyway. Said 4 month old is bigger than J.

Passmethecrisps · 07/04/2013 18:41

YW there are two babies at baby sensory - one is 6 months old and the other is 2 days older than P. both are tiny in comparison to P. remember that for every baby who looks like they could eat J there will be another he could pop in his pocket

Report
Passmethecrisps · 07/04/2013 18:43

Maybe that's what pockets in baby clothes are for

Passmethecrisps · 07/04/2013 18:46

DH took P for a walk earlier and I got a snooze. Snoozes are like snorting coke I reckon. But cheaper.

P has been a bit out of sorts today as well. We were at a party last night and I think it knocked her for six. We went saying we would only stay an hour or so. We got there at 6:30 and said our goodbyes just after 8. We had explained we would be leaving early when we accepted the invitation and were told it was all fine. Not so fine at 8pm when we get the Hmm looks and "oh. But I wanted a wee shot of the baby" What is that? A wee shot? She's not a fucking pony.

Pass I love you! You make me smile! Thanks

I need some quiche advice. My 19 week old long and heavy LO has taken to eating 8oz every 3 hours or even less. His sleep is good we get 1 wake up sometime at 3/4am or even sleep through. However it seems like a lot of milk for him and I'm worried I'm over feeding? We started baby porridge today but obviously be a while before it has any effect. Is this ok?

Just watch the weight gain Pikz, if he doesn't stray far from the centile then it's all fine.

Pikz 8oz 5 times a day? Sounds fine. That's 40oz.

Report
Pikz · 07/04/2013 18:57

Yeah about 45oz ish in total a day.

I think I stress as he was V shaped breech so born on 9th and now 98th but ebf for 13 weeks only on formula for last 6 week. He is 98th for height too.

ValiumQueen · 07/04/2013 19:01

pikz you are both doing fine. Just don't start feeding him chocolate and crisps just yet.
