Hope everyone had a lovely bank holiday weekend. The weather here was absolute shite - so typical UK bank holiday weekend Grin but I was expecting better.

ledkr - I only read the first couple posts (because I hate when threads turn ugly) but your PILs are unbelievable.

reastie - well done on the 5 1/2 stone. My tummy is very floppy too. Sad I'm saving my pennies for a post-baby tummy tuck. Also - cream carpets. Shock

Ponyo - I really did LOL at your friend. Grin I'm sure I had some very naive ideas about babies before L was born. I remember not understanding why he wouldn't just go to sleep when I put him in the crib at a few days old. Grin

Granny - I can't believe you're 32 weeks already, seems to have flown by but probably not for you.

Ledkr · 28/05/2013 18:07

I asked for thread to be deleted too annoying and I was not going to spend my evening defending dh for his parents being idiots.
I'm not sure if the people who say LTB to everyone have ever experienced a divorce or would they all be happy having a go at their parents?
I actually completely understand dh's not falling out with them cos he loves them. They are his parents!
He supports me by not forcing me to have anymore than is necessary to do with them.
Well done reastie.
I'm a bit thinner these days thanks to MFP.
On a roll now and can't eat as I used to which helps.
granny are you on another ante natal thread too?
You will have two pn groups, you'll need to remember your loyalties lady Grin

americanexpat · 30/05/2013 16:40

I can't believe how quiet this thread is these days - we used to get through 1000 posts very quickly when we were on ML. Grin

ledkr - some posters see every situation as black and white, either you're 100% happy with your partner's behaviour or LTB. It's ridiculous.

I finished the first week of C25K last night, sadly looking forward to the second week. I have multiple apps on my phone which I run simultaneously for different reasons. [saddo] Grin

reastie - I thought of you last night when I had my keys tucked into one side of my bra and my phone in the other. Grin

Ledkr · 30/05/2013 17:01

I liked the c25k but my thyroid stopped me having the energy. Have app to discuss surgery soon so hope ill restart it.
I still fail to see how my pil being selfish bastards and booking us shittier accom than them is in anyway dh's fault Hmm he told them it was not fair and we did lots if eye rolling and slagging them off and he's not paying anymore than agreed. What's he meant to do murder them?
I'm not sure I'd line a dh who found it easy to berate his parents tbh aren't we all pussys when it comes to our parents. I am.

Reastie · 30/05/2013 18:17

american Grin to the bra comment

ledkr well done to being a bit thinner these days. Love the piccie of the girlies on MFP btw

wiggles Alice lasted 20 minutes of the wiggles before she instructed me she wanted something else Hmm .

ILovePonyo · 30/05/2013 22:36

Hi all,

Am off for my friends hen do tomorrow, am looking forward it but will miss A, she told me "I miss you mummy" after I had been at work all day so am feeling a bit :( about leaving her but looking forward to a lie in Grin

ledkr its always very easy to say something but people would react very differently if in your situation, hope its not bothering you too much.

reastie A likes the fecking teletubbies and always wants to watch them on youtube, but I have to sit with her and narrate it - "what his name mummy?" "tinky winky" "oh yes, tinky winky. What his name mummy?" "dipsy" etc etc. I am getting the rage!

Enjoy your weekend all, hope everyone is well.

americanexpat · 31/05/2013 14:25

Have fun, Ponyo. I'm away next weekend and feeling guilty too. I have an early meeting Friday then leaving straight from work so will see L about 15 minutes. Sad

ledkr - I hope you didn't think I was suggesting your DH was out of order, more of a general statement about MN.

reastie - can you get Yo Gabba Gabba there? L loves it and it's not a typical annoying childrens programme - I love DJ Lance. Blush Netflix stopped carrying it here. Angry

Reastie · 31/05/2013 16:06

ponyo enjoy the hen do and the lie in Envy . I'm sure Anya will be fine without you but I'm be Sad at missing Alice too. Love the fact you have to talk through the tellietubbies bet you don't though

american no idea on the yo gabba gabba. Alice doesn't seem that interested in the wiggles dvd tbh.

Well, I did my first foray into soft play today Confused . A local pre school soft play cafe. Not sure I'll be rushing back. There was a bit of a, ahem, spirited girl there who tried to push Alice off the top of the slide and actually drew blood on the face of Alice's friend who we met there and then later really pulled his hair (to the point she would have dragged him by his hair along the floor if we hadn't intervened Shock ). Not sure where her mother was probably sobbing in the corner . Really upset Alice though and she got all unconfident and sat on my knee for half the time wanting to read books Confused .

Any nice plans for the week end? I hear weather is due to be good (down here at least but is it ever good for the likes of blizy in chilly scotland?!)

Oh, and forgot to mention earlier this week, saw Ben and itsokay on Tuesday and Ben and Alice had a fab time playing together, itsokay is lovely as ever Grin

blizy · 31/05/2013 16:58

Hope you have a fab time Ponyo!

Shock at the wee monster at soft play! It has been quite warm here the past few days reastie. I have no plans this weekend, I hope it is sunny so can enjoy the garden (wishful thinking).

I hope everyone has a nice weekend.

wigglesrock · 31/05/2013 17:20

ponyo have a fab time, Sofia used to tell me she missed me and wished I didn't have to go to work and then when I stopped she told me she liked me going to work Hmm Can't win either way Wink
americanexpat Olivia used to love that show!

reastie have you gotten to Alice being 2.3 without discovering the joy of soft play Envy

I had a whole load of dental work done yesterday, so have been feeling very sorry for myself Blush
Although my appt got me out of Olivias sports day - Olivia has finally found something she's not naturally good at - regimented sports Grin . She took it quite well, important lesson for her to learn - harsh Mum mode on account of me feeling like I've been punched in the jaw!

OP posts:
americanexpat · 31/05/2013 18:00

wiggles - I hope you have some lovely painkillers and a bottle of gin. Grin

Reastie · 31/05/2013 18:21

wiggles well I have sort of done soft play before, but it was part of an excessively expensive toddler class where everyone was terribly proper and no chance for rough behaviour so it didn't really count Grin . Hope the jaw heals up soon. Is Olivia like my sister in that she's naturally good at everything without even trying? Envy . At least she has a weak spot in sports. My sisters was driving - she didn't pass her test first time and it's the ONE thing I managed to do that she didn't Grin

oh ponyo your hen party reminds me, I was talking with a friend earlier this week who's off to a hen do this week end and the day time activity is making their own fancy knickers Hmm the mind boggles as to how this activity will be done. I'm betting on either sewing machines out and very perculiar shaped pants or fabric pens a la ELC Grin

wigglesrock · 31/05/2013 20:37

reastie you have to get them used to the dog eat dog world of soft play otherwise they don't stand a chance in the school playground Grin

Olivia just finds stuff easy - she taught herself to read, she can write, she can draw, sing, make up poems etc. She'd be really annoying if she wasn't so funny Smile But evidently the ability to care about running has passed her by. It's good for her, Mr W said she had a look like "wtf ... why can't I do this?"

Sniggering at the make your own pants Smile

Ledkr · 01/06/2013 07:56

Hi all.
Reastie don't be daft. I'm never bothered by anything on here. Words on a screen. I know my dh is next to perfect its his parents who are the problem.
Anyway we are at a festival and I d just had the worst night ever. Cold uncomfortable and sleepless.
What struck me though is on our child free night dh and I kept missing our girls and were looking forward to today when they join us.
It's lovely here for kids so much to do and lots of mud for dilly Hmm
Meeting the lovely getorf and dolly today here.
For those who remember them we saw soul to soul last night. They were bloody unbelievable and me and my friend were right at the front losing in dancing. So funny.
Dh was in hysterics. We then bopped in the silent disco for a few hrs such a laugh.
ponyo hope you are enjoying your weekend xx

Reastie · 01/06/2013 08:56

Ledkr silent disco????

blizy · 01/06/2013 12:52

Sounds fab ledkr! I loved the silent disco at t in the park, was one of the funniest nights ever.

Reastie a silent disco is when everyone wears headphones and dances along to the music, there are usually 2 different DJ's playing different music so most people are listening to different songs. I hope I explained it ok. It is fab, and it helps if you are a bit drunk too Wink.

Reastie · 01/06/2013 13:14

Silent disco sounds hilarious Grin . Do people sing out loud without realising I would ?! I'd love to work there and laugh at everyone oversee it.

blizy · 01/06/2013 14:38

Yes to the wailing singing. It's raining here, boooo! We done some gardening yesterday in preparation to so out and enjoy the non existing sun. Sad

Grannyapple · 02/06/2013 08:24

Ha ha ledkr don't worry, I know where my loyalties lie Grin. The July lot are on thread 9 already, 2 babies are already here & 2 will be here today with another 1 tomorrow Shock.

Looking for advice on how to make N stay in his bed longer? He's been absolutely great in his big bed, but has just stomped into our room past few mornings at 5.50am!! Before he would just chat to himself & stay in his bed till we went to get him?! All hints & tips appreciated!

Had a lovely day at a l

Grannyapple · 02/06/2013 08:29

Damn...meant to say had a lovely day at a local park yesterday with a picnic with the nct crew...was tiring chasing after the bubbas esp as were right next to the swing park..us 3 were shattered yesterday...was in my kip for qtr to 10 last night..
