Hi all
Were back from our hols in Cornwall. It was glorious!! Have done 7 loads of washing since yest!!
Granny, Noah has a gate on his door but only because were in a town house and he and Ben have the top floor. I can raise you on 5.50am tho, Noah was up at 5.15 this morning after falling out of bed! Only good thing about it is I then headed out for a run at 6am and i feel like ive gotten lots done already!! dh has taken boys to see my mum and the in laws so i have the day to myself!! Yah!!
Ledkr, your weekend sounds fab. I love the idea of a silent disco, brilliany fun!!
Hi to all. Am lurking all the time xx

Reastie · 03/06/2013 08:14

Hi granny window people coming from Wednesday Confused . At least the weather forecast looks dry and not too cold - 2 nights without windows in the house I was dreading rain and freezing winds draughting through. Am still panicking about the cream carpet though! Re: gro clock. Yes we have one but have only been using it for a week. We got it for night time wakings though where Alice got up at 3am thinking it was morning. So far so good, but that may just be coincidence. Might be worth a shot if you were desperate though.

ems where in cornwall did you go Envy ? I love cornwall but it's a bit of a drive for us avec Alice so we're holding off till she's a bit older. We used to go every spring though and I miss it Sad

Off to meet a mner from my local boards this morning Grin

blizy · 03/06/2013 09:10

Enjoy your meet up reastie.

We have another gorgeous day here, yesterday was lovely. I got a bit burnt even though I had on some factor 50 (although I forgot to put it on my legs, oops and ouch).
I have the day to myself with kids at school, need to make the most of it, I have a wee one starting on the 18th mon-thurs.

Hope you all have a good day.

Ledkr · 03/06/2013 10:56

Hi all. Yes silent disco hilarious. Djs shout out and only half the room answer "yay" with hands in the air. So funny.
Got home last night and we all bathed and slept.
It was amazing we are all sad today.
There were loads if workshops and we spent weekend doing different dancing or making stuff. There was a constant story time puppets magic shows etc.
Amazing.
Yesterday all the kids did a parade of all the stuff they'd made and all the crowed cheered for them.
I was a tad emotional tbh.
Me,getorf and Dollytwat dancing and singing to the human league was possibly the funniest thing ever!
I don't want to be back in normal land Sad

wigglesrock · 03/06/2013 18:49

ledkr I hate holiday come down Sad Makes you want to pack up the camper van and head off into the sunset - at least you're half way there with the campervan!

reastie hope you enjoyed the meet up. You and Alice looked fab on your bicycle made for two on FB Smile

emski glad you had a brilliant time, the photos were gorgeous. Strange and cute how alike Noah and Anna are. Really strange if you remember that Anna was going to be a Noah!

blizy we've been promised a lovely weather week here, but it has drizzled most of today. You know that fine rain that soaks you through Grin

4 weeks of school left - think I'm even more excited than the girls Blush . Mr W starts all his overtime next week for the G8 so we're trying to get lots of bits and pieces done. 2 weeks of consecutive 15 hour night shifts Hmm I'll be Mumsnetting a lot! He's also managing to miss Sofias birthday party with her friends. 10 eight year olds in Build a Bear then Frankie & Bennys Shock Deffo think I drew the short straw!

OP posts:
blizy · 03/06/2013 20:09

Ahh yes, the rain that gets you wet. Mr W's shifts sound brutal, I bet you will all be glad when it's over. Good luck with the birthday party!

Emski76 · 04/06/2013 05:42

Reastie we went to Looe. It was so beautiful and the weather was fab. Btw Ben has the groclock. It doesnt light up at 'morning time' anymore but hes been told not to come out of his room unless for the loo until 6.30. Just been woken by him calling the blooming cat!! Hes been sent back to bed with a flea in his ear!!
Wiggles, Yes thats funny that you were going to call Anna Noah. Are you sure were not related??? My dad is a bit of a player so its always possible!!
Aaarrgggghhhh now Noahs up!! Better go!

americanexpat · 05/06/2013 15:22

I'm quite Envy of the holidays. Our hols this year will be visiting family. Sad DH's mum lives quite far away so it's either a 26 hr drive Shock in the car each way with a toddler over my dead body or we spend $1400 on flights. I'm still trying to convince DH he should take L on his own.

wiggles - 15hr night shifts! Shock Which boxset are you watching while he's working? Grin

The weather has been shite here, cool and rainy. I suppose I shouldn't complain too much, as L wakes at 5:30 when it's hot since his room isn't air conditioned. I can't wait until we move and have central air conditioning. We're supposed to complete next Friday. Shock

wigglesrock · 06/06/2013 11:27

americanexpat can't get excited about any boxsets at the minute. I might try Justified, I love a bit of Timothy Olyphant Wink
Might try and get some reading done, it's my birthday soon and mil always gets me books or Amazon vouchers.

Weather fab here, already running out of suncream Shock

Hope sun is shining everywhere!

Hellooooooooo

Bought DH season 2 game of thrones for Fathers Day pressie today. He's a big fan. Anyone got any more thoughtful fathers day gifts lined up?

I have grannyapples window people here as i type fitting new windows. I can't vouch for the windows as I haven't yet seen them but v impressed by the workers. They are polite and friendly and have put dust sheets EVERYWHERE thank goodness I'm very fussy . Here's hoping it continues well as we have 2 more days of this to go Confused .

wiggles I'm running low on sunscreen too Shock . It's like it's gone straight from winter to summer. 15 hour shifts Shock

american I've never even heard of central air con. Your new house will be fab Envy

ledkr have you hit real life again now after that fab hol?

Meet up with other mner was fab thanks, Alice had a great time and was so excited to meet another Alice (one of the DC was also called Alice - the first Alice she's met apart from herself!)

ILovePonyo · 06/06/2013 16:38

Hello all, I'm having a cup of tea in peace before picking A up from nursery! Brew

Hen do was lots of fun, except we got so drunk the first night we all flaked out early on the second Smile The hens best mate had organised a 'butler in the buff' who basically poured drinks and made us do shots with just a little pinny on, and his bum out Grin there is a photo on fb of me with him Hmm he was very 'buff' and oily and told us he didn't eat carbs as we had a table full of bread and pasta Grin bore!

Was lovely to get back to A of course, oh and dp Wink think he'd found it a bit tough going especially when he went to his friends and he couldn't relax as A kept legging it upstairs.

Reastie your Father's Day present is brill! I love game of thrones. I bought dp a massive chocolate fathers day medal for £2 from sainsburys today Grin better get him something else...

Glad ledkr and emski had nice hols, isn't it nicer here in general with the sunny weather though?

I've forgotten what people have said because I'm on my phone, sorry, so instead I'll let you all know that A has been sleeping in until half 7, sometimes 8am ShockShock but only because she won't go to sleep at bedtime now until half nine/10. Such a pest!
She's also started using my own words and sayings against me, for example I I tell her "no" she'll say "don't be rude. You say yes mummy" aaaagh!! I never should have said dont be rude to her! Grin

ILovePonyo · 06/06/2013 16:41

Oh yeah reastie glad your meet up went well. Bless Alice liking meeting another Alice!

I met a mum in the park the other day with a dd a bit younger than A, we have swapped numbers to meet up, she seemed very nice

Grannyapple · 07/06/2013 20:54

Ah reastie hope you like the windows when they are done...& yes they are v polite & just get on with it Smile

Oh dear ponyo but A answering you back us kinda funny!

Hello & big waves to all you lovely ladies Grin

Absolutely shattered this week....stupid busy 5 day week & stupid busy work....& 4 wks left but that translates into 13.5days as I need to use up annual leave...Grin

Cuppa tea, cheeky m&s custard cream & then bed me thinks!

Reastie · 09/06/2013 18:28

Hello

granny they came yesterday and are coming again tomorrow. Lots to do it seems Grin . We went to Laura Ashley today to stock up on new curtain poles in their sale :) Hope you managed to rest this week end

ponyo Grin to the massive fathers day medal. DH would really like that! :) to the 'dont be rude. say yes mummy'. Alice after dinner was running around the house shouting 'I'm dogging' . It had me in hysterics Grin . I hope think she meant I'm a doggie'. She's being a cheeky monkey at the minute though. She's so excited when she sees other children she calls them all 'friends' whether they like it or not! In Laura Ashley today she pounced on 2 children quite a bit older than her who weren't interested at all and she kept calling them friends and telling the older girl she had hello kitty on her tshirt Wink

wiggles I LOVED that paddling pool video on fb. Your girls look like they have such a good time together with anna. Must be nice for them to all have each other. Do they always have such fun together please say no so I don't feel awful about alice being an only child

wigglesrock · 09/06/2013 21:29

reastie the girls drive each other up the wall most of the time. They like doing stuff together, if they can get outside.

Anna worships Sofia and Sofia is very good with her. Olivia views Anna with slight disdain sometimes but is still young enough to want to play with her toys Grin

Glad windows are going well!!

Gorgeous weekend hereShock Who needs Ibiza? me that's who!

Ledkr · 10/06/2013 21:25

Psst wiggs Luther is back in July and I've heard that Idris may be the next dr who.

wigglesrock · 10/06/2013 21:34

ledkr I know, I just saw the ad before The Fall. Swoon..... Smile

I heard the next Dr Who is Rory Kinnear?

OP posts:
Ledkr · 10/06/2013 21:38

He's looking hotter than ever. Why can't stupid dh be Idris fgs!!

blizy · 11/06/2013 11:34

Just checking in, dropped off TIO. Hope you are all well.

americanexpat · 11/06/2013 14:42

blizy - was it you that's doing 5:2? I've just started the third week and am finding it much easier now - last week was horrible. I've lost 2 lbs so far though and it doesn't much feel like a diet the rest of the week, so I'm very pleased.

reastie - Enjoy your new windows. Grin And don't feel bad about Alice being an only child, if that's what you want. As long as she's not locked in a tower, she'll be fine.

Ponyo - Cheeky A! Grin

I'm getting quite excited now - we have the final walkthrough Thursday (to check the condition and that the vendor has left the agreed white goods) then we complete Friday afternoon. I'm still quite Shock that this is actually happening.

blizy · 11/06/2013 16:42

American, yeah I done the 5:2. I'm off it now as I was having some bad tummy aches which. Haven't had since stopping. I am Sad because I really liked it and it did work.

So exciting about the house, have you a move date yet?

Reastie · 11/06/2013 18:33

blizy and american I could never cope with the 5:2 diet, I'd get too hungry. Blizy were the tummy aches caused by hunger/IBS? That's what I get when I don't eat Confused . What a pain as it was working for you.

american very excited for you. You'll have to post piccies once you're all moved.

ledkr you made me laugh with the Idris not being DH comment Grin

Weather back to miserable here today, although thankfully windows are now pretty much done (just coming back on saturday to finish something). I'm so glad it's all done and I've got my house back to myself again even if I will spend the next week dusting everything

Ledkr · 11/06/2013 19:16

MFP still working ok for me. I couldn't starve I'd hate it.
I've just replaced white carbs with veg and its fine.
Few people doing it at work who are all stil fat and eat copiously on days off!
I was in glos today on my lunch and observed a hobo type woman take a shit in BHS doorway Shock it was around two o clock. Truly bizarre.

blizy · 11/06/2013 19:40

Reastie, yip I was getting ibs pain on fast days. Yay to the windows! Our weather is crap too.

Ledkr OMG at the woman!

I am now eating sensibly, always having breakfast, lunch and dinner but having much smaller portions. It is working, but not as quickly as 5:2.

Reastie · 11/06/2013 19:41

blizy slow results = long lasting results (which is what I tell myself anyway!)
